Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1398: Jian Kuang’s Disciple

Jun Wuyou and his entourage were even more shocked upon their arrival at the Moonlit Passion Temple, especially since the sect had changed so much. The previously unused area below the mountain has been transformed into several halls, and roads have been built connecting them.

Additionally, the number of disciples had increased dramatically, but they didn’t know that it was the merger of two sects brought together by Zhang Fei.

They were truly shocked by the presence of Tian Kui and Serpentera, especially since they claimed to be the sect’s main guardians. No other sect has two guardians as strong as both of them, and their cultivation levels are among the highest in the Paradise Realm.

Qing Qiu’er and You Feiling met their guests. ”Patriarch Jun! Patriarch Lian! Patriarch Gu! Welcome to the Moonlit Passion Temple! Elder Zhang already told me that you would be coming today, so I prepared myself to welcome your arrival.”

”Can we meet Zhang Fei, Sect Master Qing?”

Qing Qiu’er shook her head at Jun Wuyou. ”Unfortunately, Elder Zhang has entered seclusion again, so you can’t meet him. I don’t know when he will come out, and he might come out in a few days or a few months.”

”Is she your granddaughter who was kidnapped by Hun Lingwu, Patriarch Jun?” You Feiling asked, glancing at Jun Qingling.

Jun Wuyou nodded at her. ”If Zhang Fei and Empress Huo hadn’t rescued her, we would never have known that she fell into Hun Lingwu’s hands, and we would never have been able to gather again.”

”She’s lucky,” Qing Qiu’er said. ”If Hun Lingwu hadn’t tried to do something to our two female disciples, Zhang Fei wouldn’t have entered the Immortal Soul Palace, and he wouldn’t have discovered that your granddaughter had become his cultivation furnace.”

Jun Wuyou let out a heavy sigh. ”Sect Master Qing, let’s not discuss the past anymore, and the most important thing is that my granddaughter has returned safely. Although she is no longer intact, at least she is still alive. For now, we may not have the ability to take revenge on that old bastard, but we will settle accounts with him in the future, and we will kill him when the time comes.”

”Alright.” Since Jun Qingling intended to join them, Qing Qiu’er asked You Feiling to bring her to take care of everything, and she led the people from the three clans to look around the Moonlit Passion Temple.

Even though they had already seen the new Moonlit Passion Temple when they met Feng Yao, the drastic changes in the sect still shocked them, mainly because the sect was no longer a dual cultivation sect, but they had become a universal sect. Moreover, the sect had other halls, starting with the sword hall, the assassin hall, the alchemy hall, and various others, which made them the most complete sect in the entire Paradise Realm.

While Qing Qiu’er was bringing people from the three clans to look around the sect, You Feiling had already brought Jun Qingling to the registration hall to take care of her registration. ”You can choose the hall you are interested in yourself.”

”Haha.” Jun Qingling laughed wryly. ”Vice Sect Master You, Hun Lingwu kidnapped me when I was young, and he’s been controlling me all this time, so I don’t have any expertise in any field. I’m at a loss as to which cultivation path to follow, so I’m at a loss as to which hall is most suitable for me.”

”I see.” You Feiling nodded in understanding. ”How about you try practicing in all of those halls first? That way, you’ll find the one that’s most suitable for you, and you can join one of them.”

”I think that’s a good idea.” Jun Qingling nodded to her. ”Vice Sect Master You, what do you think if I become a dual cultivator like you?”

You Feiling raised an eyebrow and looked at her in surprise. ”Are you considering becoming a dual cultivator like me? Have you discussed it with your family? I’m sure your grandfather wouldn’t approve of you becoming a dual cultivator, and your parents wouldn’t agree to it either.”

”Sigh.” Jun Qingling sighed heavily. ”What can I do now, Vice Sect Master You? I’m no longer a clean woman, and that old bastard has used my body repeatedly to improve his cultivation. Although I don’t like the path of dual cultivation, I think it’s the best way for me to catch up, and I can increase my strength more quickly through it. Once my strength improves, I will take revenge on that old bastard, and I want to kill him with my hands.”

You Feiling nodded in understanding. ”The path of dual cultivation can help you become stronger faster than normal cultivators, but you still have to hone your skills in other areas. If you don’t have skills in other areas, you’ll never be able to kill that old bastard. For now, there are two best paths you can choose: the path of dual cultivation and the path of the sword. The path of dual cultivation will help you improve your cultivation faster, and the path of the sword will give you more abilities if you want to take revenge on him. Have you ever studied swordsmanship before?”

”My grandfather and my father were skilled swordsmen, so I also studied swordsmanship, but I haven’t studied it to the fullest because that bastard kidnapped me.” You Feiling knew that the Jun Clan was a clan of swordsmen, so she wasn’t surprised by Jun Qingling’s answer. ”Who is the best swordsman in this sect, Vice Sect Master You?”

You Feiling smiled at that. ”Our sect has three God Rank swordsmen: the sword maniac, Jian Kuang. Han Ling, and Zhang Fei.”

”Eh?” Jun Qingling looked at her with repeated blinks. ”Is Zhang Fei really a God Rank swordsman? I heard from Empress Huo that he was a God Rank alchemist, but she didn’t say anything else about him.”

You Feiling told Jun Qingling about Zhang Fei’s abilities in other fields, which made her jaw drop. ”He is the most perfect cultivator because he has expertise in other fields, but his main expertise is in dual cultivation, and he is an excellent dual cultivator.”

”Eh?” Jun Qingling was shocked again. ”Isn’t he Empress Huo’s husband? How could he be a dual cultivator?”

”Zhang Fei and Feng Yao’s relationship is a bit unique, but he is indeed a dual cultivator, and he has many other wives besides her.” You Feiling pointed to the residence behind the mountain. ”All of them live together in that residence, and their relationship is truly harmonious, like one big family. She herself knows about all her wives, and she never makes a big deal about it.”

Jun Qingling nodded to her repeatedly, and an elder brought her uniforms along with the sect’s disciple identification. ”Please take me to the sword hall, Vice Sect Master You.”

”Let’s go.”

A short while later, they arrived at the sword hall, where Jun Qingling saw Jian Kuang and Han Ling training the sect’s disciples.

Jian Kuang turned towards them, and he watched Jun Qingling seriously. He immediately moved towards them and asked her. ”Are you a member of the Jun Clan?”

”Yes, Senior.” Jun Qingling nodded to him. ”It’s just that my abilities are inferior to those of my brothers and sisters, especially since I was kidnapped by an evil person several years ago.”

”Hmm?” Jian Kuang turned to You Feiling, who immediately explained Jun Qingling’s situation to him. ”That old man is indeed a bastard, and he has ruined the lives of many young girls over the years. However, no one dares to move to stop him because his soul cultivation technique is very special, and he can do things that no other soul cultivator can do. Since you’ve been freed from his control, you can return to a normal life, and you can restart your path of cultivation. If you’re interested in the way of the sword, I’ll teach you swordsmanship myself. Are you willing to be my disciples?”

Jun Qingling was overjoyed because training under a sword master like Jian Kuang would be very beneficial for her, and she was confident that she would be able to take revenge on Hun Lingwu more quickly.

”No need.” Jian Kuang stopped her as she was about to kneel to him. ”I don’t like formalities, so you don’t need to kneel to me. After all, I am indebted to your late great-grandfather for helping me so much before I became who I am today, and I accepted you as my disciple to repay him.”

Jun Qingling cupped her hands and bowed slightly to him. ”Thank you, master.”

”Good.” Jian Kuang touched her forehead and imparted a sword technique to her. ”For now, I want you to read the entire technique, and you can come back to me here once you’ve understood everything in it.”

”Yes, Master.”

After that, You Feiling led Jun Qingling away from the sword hall, and she brought her to the disciples’ quarters.

Su Shentian approached Jian Kuang and asked him, ”You accepted that girl as your disciple not because of her late great-grandfather, but for another reason, right?”

”Hahaha.” Jian Kuang laughed at that. ”In my entire life, I never thought I would accept a disciple, let alone a female disciple. Although her talent is still raw, that little girl has a long future in the way of the sword, so I decided to take her as my first disciple.”
