Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1368: Dimensional World

”Did you wait on purpose, Yingzhi?”

Ju Yingzhi nodded at Zhang Fei. ”Can we talk somewhere else?”

”Sure.” Zhang Fei turned to Zhong Yan and the others. ”Yan’er, bring Huang Rong, Yang Lu’er, and the others with you to prepare for our shops in those domains.”

”Alright.”

After Zhong Yan and the other seven women immediately left together, Zhang Fei grabbed Ju Yingzhi’s shoulder and took her somewhere else.

”Does your problem have anything to do with your personal problems?” Zhang Fei immediately asked once they arrived at another area.

”Yes.” Ju Yingzhi then questioned him. ”Do you remember my condition when we first met?”

”That’s for sure.” Zhang Fei nodded slightly. ”You said that those demon hunters from the upper realms injured you, and Xin Yanluo saved you when you were seriously injured. However, you didn’t explain the details to me, and I felt that there was something else you were deliberately hiding. I’ve always been curious about that, but I would rather not force you to explain it to me, and I was waiting for you to reveal everything yourself. Moreover, Feng Yao told me that your Abyssal Rift Demon Race doesn’t exist in the Three Mortal Realms, and your race originated from this realm.”

”Feng Yao is indeed correct about my Abyssal Rift Demon Race originating from this Paradise Realm, but we do not inhabit any specific domain; instead, my race resides in a dimensional world created by our ancestors.” Ju Yingzhi’s explanation did not surprise Zhang Fei because Feng Yao had already told him about it. ”When I was young, I was stranded in the Three Mortal Realms, and I couldn’t find my way back to our world. Our world didn’t have precise coordinates, and it kept moving around in the dimensional rifts, making it difficult to find. I ended up growing up there and met many cultivators, including her. I struggled to improve my cultivation there, and I met that damn powerful demon hunter who injured me and forced me to hide until we met in the Nine Stars Realm.”

Zhang Fei nodded in understanding. ”So, how did you end up stranded in the Three Mortal Realms? Did something happen in your dimensional world before that day?”

”Rebellion.” Ju Yingzhi’s answer caused Zhang Fei to frown, and she showed the picture in her pendant to him. ”I never told Xin Yanluo about this matter, but I was the princess of my demon race, and those rebels were targeting me after they captured my parents and brothers. I ran away from our world to save myself, but I ended up stranded in the Three Mortal Realms. For thousands of years, I tried to find my way back to my world, but I could never find it, and I suspected the universe barrier was the cause. Therefore, I was overjoyed when you told me you were on your way to this realm, but you spent more time in seclusion, so I didn’t say anything to you about my personal problems, and I was waiting for you to finish.”

”Then?”

”After you brought us to this sect, I began searching for the location of my world, and I managed to find it a week ago.” Zhang Fei nodded without interrupting Yu Jingzhi. ”I never wanted to involve others in my personal matters, and I wanted to save them myself, but I knew that the rebel leader was powerful; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to capture my parents.”

”Do you need my help to save them?”

Ju Yingzhi fell into deep thought before nodding. ”Please help me save them, Zhang Fei.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei laughed softly as he patted Yu Jingzhi’s head. ”You may not be my woman, but you’ve lived with me and the others for decades, remember? Back then, I recruited you and Xin Yanluo to strengthen my demon fox group, but I’ve considered you two as part of my extended family. Since you are my family, and you need my help, I’ll gladly help you. So, when do you want to go there to save them? Where is the fastest way to get there?”

Ju Yingzhi used her dimensional slash to split the air, opening a rift crack. ”I immediately locked the location of my dimensional world after I found it, and we can go there through this crack.”

Zhang Fei observed the area behind the crack, and he felt that it was similar to the void, but it was also different at the same time. ”So, this place is a separate dimension between the real world and the void, right?”

”Do you remember those areas outside the tunnel that brought you to this realm?” Zhang Fei nodded at Ju Yingzhi. ”Those areas are dimensional rifts, like this one, but I can’t access them due to the universe barrier.”

Zhang Fei grabbed Ju Yingzhi’s shoulders, enveloped them with his qi, and brought her into the crack. ”Show me the location of your dimensional world.”

”It’s about 10,000 miles from our location.” Yu Jingzhi pointed in a certain direction.

”10,000 miles is too short for me.” Zhang Fei took her away directly.

In a matter of seconds, Zhang Fei and Ju Yingzhi had arrived at the outer perimeter of the dimensional world, where the Abyssal Rift Demon Race resided.

’Can you scan this dimensional world, Mei?’

[Master, you should enter first, and I will scan it as soon as you arrive inside. Fortunately, this world doesn’t have any additional protections, and they were formed naturally when Ju Yingzhi’s ancestors created it.]

”Alright.” Zhang Fei turned to Ju Yingzhi, whose expression was filled with longing. ”Do you miss this world and your family members?”

”Yeah.” Ju Yingzhi nodded slightly. ”I haven’t seen my family members for too long, so I miss them very much. I can sense that they’re still alive now, but I don’t know where the rebel leader has imprisoned them.”

”Don’t worry, we will find them and free them.” Zhang Fei first used his body modification ability to transform himself into an abyssal rift demon, preventing their enemies from detecting his presence. ”Let’s go in now.”

”Yeah.”

.

.

.

The dimensional world is a complete and self-contained world, situated between the real world and the void. It is a dark world because the sky is permanently dim due to its location. It is stable with its own rules of space, time, demon aura, and qi flow.

The land is vast and diverse, with dark forests, rugged mountains, deep canyons, and black plains. The rivers are rich with demon aura and qi, providing life for the demon beasts and plants within them.

’This system can’t record this dimensional world, huh?’

[Master, the Abyssal Rift Demon Race is different from other demon races, remember? You can’t mimic Ju Yingzhi’s demon abilities, so you don’t need to be surprised if the system can’t record this world.]

’Yeah, you’re right.’ Zhang Fei inwardly sighed.

Zhang Fei saw several small floating islands circling the areas within the dimensional world, but he couldn’t sense any signs of life on them. ”This world is too large for the number of demons that inhabit it.”

”You’re right.” Ju Yingzhi nodded in agreement. ”I don’t understand why our ancestors created such a vast dimensional world, especially since our race is too small compared to the other demon races that exist in the Three Mortal Realms and the Paradise Realm. Our demon race’s birth rate is also too small and slow, so this world looks empty like a desert because of its excessive size.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei laughed softly. ”Of course, your ancestors didn’t create this world for the short term, but for the long term. Your demon race may be small now, but who knows, your numbers might grow in the future. When that happens, this world is ready to accommodate them, and they can all continue to live here. So, where should we look for your family?”

”The royal palace should be in the center, but strangely I can’t find it there.” Ju Yingzhi pointed in that direction.

Zhang Fei and Mei immediately checked the area, but they could only find a vast demon city with tens of thousands of Abyssal Rift Demon Race members. ”Hmm? I think we should go to that city, Jingzhi. I’m sure the demons there must know something about the disappearance of the royal palace, so we’ll go there now to seek information from them.”

”Let’s go.”

.

.

.

They walked side by side into the demon city, but Ju Yingzhi held Zhang Fei’s arm tightly, fearing her race members would recognize her. He rubbed her hand and spoke to her. ’Yingzhi, the flow of time here is equivalent to that in the Paradise Realm, and you’ve lived in the Three Mortal Realms for thousands of years, so I’m sure these demons won’t be able to recognize you.’

As Zhang Fei said, those demons didn’t recognize her, but Ju Yingzhi was still worried that one of them might recognize her.

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei raised an eyebrow as he examined the city center. ’Yingzhi, was the palace really in this city in the past?’

Ju Yingzhi nodded at him. ’I wouldn’t be wrong about that, and the palace really was in this city in the past.’

’Let’s ask them, then.’ Zhang Fei led Ju Yingzhi into a building that resembled a bar, where the demons gathered and drank strange drinks.

Zhang Fei took Ju Yingzhi to meet the female demon behind the counter. ”Are you two new to this city? Why haven’t I seen you two before?”
