Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1364: Lan Yuerong’s Demise

”The question is, what are you doing in our domain and spying on our sect, lust demon god, Xi Yan?” Xi Yan frowned at Tian Kui.

Serpentera immediately spoke to Xi Yan. ”You don’t need to be confused about how we learned about you and your arrival, as our master already knows about you and Xie Yao, and he ordered us to guard you.”

”Is the master of both of you Zhang Fei?” Xie Yan doubtfully asked because the two ancient beasts were clearly as strong as her and Xie Yao, and Zhang Fei was too young to be able to tame them.

”Heh.” Tian Kui snorted at Xie Yan. ”Our master didn’t expect that Lan Yuerong would fall so low, and she was willing to sacrifice her body to get Xie Yao’s help to get rid of him.”

Xie Yan frowned deeper after hearing Tian Kui’s last statement. ”How did Zhang Fei know all that?”

”Do you think an ordinary person is worthy of being our master?” Serpentera turned the question around. ”If you and Xie Yao don’t want to get into trouble, you must return to the Endless Domain now and never come back to disturb our master. You two are demon gods, and your cultivation is far higher than our master’s, but he is not someone you two can underestimate.”

Xie Yan thought about using her lust demon abilities to fight the two ancient beasts, but she dropped the idea because Tian Kui and Serpentera looked confident to her face.

Tian Kui spoke to Xie Yan again. ”My master hasn’t killed Lan Yuerong so Xie Yao can enjoy her body first as a gift for him, but she will die after he has had enough fun with her. If you don’t believe me, you can go back to the Temptation Valley now, and you can witness her death for yourself.”

After hearing that, Xie Yan didn’t speak further and disappeared from the sight of the two ancient beasts. She hurriedly returned to the Endless Domain to confirm the truth of Tian Kui’s words.

”Lan Yuerong is truly a foolish woman.” Serpentera sighed softly.

Tian Kui nodded in agreement. ”Lan Yuerong was aware that our master had already taken control of her soul; however, her stupidity and arrogance caused her to forget this fact. Unfortunately, it was too late for her to regret it, and she will die soon.”

”Forget her and let’s go back to the sect.”

”Yeah.”

A while later, Xie Yan arrived at the Valley of Temptation and found Xie Yao had finished having fun with Lan Yuerong, who looked exhausted. ”Oh? Why are you back so soon? Where’s Zhang Fei? Did you fail to catch him?”

”I—” Xie Yan stopped talking as soon as Lan Yuerong’s body emitted a light.

Xie Yao frowned at that, and he hurriedly pulled Su Heiyan away from Lan Yuerong. ”What happened to her?”

”Let’s wait.” Xie Yan seriously observed Lan Yuerong’s body.

Soon, Lan Yuerong’s body floated into the air by itself, making her panic. ”Master, please save me; something happened in my body.”

Xie Yan and Xie Yao frowned because Lan Yuerong’s soul suddenly came out of her body, but their expressions changed to shock when they saw the soul sword inside her soul.

”Master... save me... I—” Lan Yuerong couldn’t continue her words, and her eyes became dull.

Meanwhile, Xie Yan and Xie Yao were utterly shocked after they witnessed the soul sword shatter Lan Yuerong’s soul, causing it to disappear completely.

After all, the soul was the most essential part of all living things, and Lan Yuerong instantly died as soon as her soul shattered.

”Fuck! What happened to her? Who implanted that soul sword in her soul?” Xie Yao exclaimed in shock.

”Zhang Fei.” Xie Yao turned to Xie Yan, who immediately explained to him about her previous conversation with Tian Kui and Serpentera. ”I don’t know the identities of those two beasts, but their strength is on par with ours. They were confident that they could withstand my lust abilities, so I didn’t dare attack them, and I immediately returned once they told me that Lan Yuerong was about to die. At first, I didn’t believe them, but her death has proven the truth.”

Xie Yao’s expression turned gloomy. ”The soul sword just now was clearly a soul technique, and a high-level one at that, which means Zhang Fei was an expert soul cultivator. If my guess is correct, he had already implanted it into her soul from the start, but he hadn’t killed her because of the Zhi and Lan Clans.”

”Zhang Fei’s abilities in the soul cultivation path are obviously very high, and his level is probably on par with Hun Lingwu.” Xie Yan suddenly remembered something. ”Hey! I thought Zhang Fei and Zhang Xiaolong were the same person.”

”Zhang Fei... Zhang Xiaolong...” Xie Yao muttered to himself. ”I’m sure it’s no coincidence that they have the same surname, so I think your guess is correct that they are indeed the same person. Let’s go! We have to go to the Slaughter Blood Domain right now.”

”Let’s go.”

”What brings you two to my domain today?” Shang Luohu questioned Xie Yao and Xie Yan, who had just appeared on her balcony.

”What about Zhang Xiaolong, Empress Shang? Is he still in the Blood Sea?”

Shang Luohu looked at Xie Yao before shaking her head. ”Back then, you said that he would need one to three years to complete his evolution, but he managed to complete it in just three months, and he has left the Blood Sea since then.”

”It seems our guess was correct.” Xie Yao nodded to Xi Yan. ”Where is Zhang Xiaolong now?”

”The Blood Forest, to be precise; Zhang Xiaolong is in the underground area.” Shang Luohuo looked curiously at their expressions. ”What exactly do you guys think about him? What guess did you mean before?”

”Zhang Xiaolong isn’t his true identity, and his true identity is Zhang Fei, an elder of the Moonlit Passion Temple.” Xie Yan’s answer took Shang Luohu aback. ”A woman came to us and asked for our help in getting rid of him, and she told us about him and the sect. I went to the Twin Flames Domain to investigate him, but two powerful guardian beasts stopped me, and they recognized him as their master. They told me the woman would die today, and she really died as soon as I returned to our valley.”

”Did Zhang Fei kill that woman under your nose?”

Both Xie Yan and Xie Yao nodded to Shang Luohu. ”Zhang Fei didn’t come directly to our valley, but he already implanted a soul sword in that woman’s soul, and it shattered her soul right before our eyes.”

”I see.” Shang Luohu was not the least bit surprised by that, especially after she met Hu Tianlang’s bloodlust soul in the underground a month ago. ”Regarding your story about the ten-tailed fox, I believe that Zhang Fei is his successor.”

”How can you be so sure of that, Empress Shang?” Shang Luohu let out a soft sigh before telling them about her encounter with Hu Tianlang’s bloodlust soul in the underground, which shocked Xie Yao and Xie Yan. ”No wonder he can do such a thing; it turns out that he is indeed the successor of the ten-tailed fox.”

”Have you discussed this matter with your husband, Empress Shang?”

Shang Luohu shook her head at Xie Yao. ”My husband was frightened by the appearance of the soul of the ten-tailed fox, and he entered seclusion from the day. Moreover, I didn’t have any valid evidence regarding that matter at that time, so I haven’t said anything to him about my suspicions.”

”I think you should not tell your husband about this matter, Empress Shang.” Shang Luohu raised an eyebrow at Xie Yao. ”If Zhang Fei is truly the successor of the ten-tailed fox, Long Wuzhao and the others must already know about him, and they will do everything possible to protect him. If your husband chooses to become his enemy, your asura demon race will face them all at once, including those higher-ups. Your husband is powerful, and I fear him, but those people are much stronger. Moreover, your race guardian likes him, so I’m sure it will not protect you; instead, it will protect him, which will threaten the safety of your race members.”

Shang Luohu let out a soft sigh as she agreed with Xie Yao. ”You’re right; my husband will consider Zhang Fei an enemy if he finds out the truth. By the way, he’s still there now, but we must not approach that place, or the soul of the ten-tailed fox will kill us.”

”I know.” Xie Yao nodded slightly. ”Since I’ve already gotten the answer to our guess, we’ll return to our domain now. I have a hunch that Zhang Fei will be coming to us soon, so I’ll be waiting for him in my valley.”

”Alright.” After Xie Yao and Xie Yan disappeared, Shang Zhui appeared behind Shang Luohu. ”What do you think about this matter, Zhui?”

Shang Zhui let out a soft sigh. ”Empress, I agree with your wish to hide this matter from my Emperor. I’m sure he will find out about this matter someday, but I’m sure it won’t be anytime soon, especially since he’s still focused on his seclusion.”

”Let’s go to the Moonlit Passion Temple, Zhui.”

Shang Zui was taken aback for a moment. ”What do you want to do in the sect, Empress?”
