Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 996: Jia Yuyan - Wan Jiang

After they discussed several things with Tian Jingxuan and the others, Yuan Tianquan and the others immediately returned to their respective clans to prepare. Ren Ziwei went to the Ren Clan to warn his family, as did the people from the Nalan and Beihuang Clans.

Jia Yuyan walked out of the room, but she did not return to the eastern forest; instead, she went to the southern region, especially after she detected a sense of someone watching them from that region.

”Hmm?” Jia Yuyan was surprised to see Wan Jiang and his three disciples. ”How did the four of you end up in this realm?”

”A fairy from the Floral Mirage Domain, right?” Jia Yuyan nodded to Wan Jiang. ”We are in charge of monitoring the Star Tower, and we asked Zhang Fei to send us to this realm, mainly because of Qi Lai.”

Jia Yuyan was a little surprised to hear that. ”Why did your higher-ups let that person go down to the three mortal realms and help the Cao Clan?”

”You’re wrong about that.” Wan Jiang denied it with a shake of his head. ”The higher-ups never allowed Qi Lai to come down here, let alone help those mortals. He came down here of his own accord, and I finally understood his purpose in helping the Cao Clan.”

”Why?”

”You are his reason.” Wan Jiang’s answer caused Jia Yuyan to frown. ”I once heard that a special fairy was born into the fairy race, and she was born with a special physique that naturally harmonizes with the laws of wood, life, and regeneration. Besides, she managed to convince the ancient immortal treant spirit to give her bloodline, which allowed her to command nature.”

Jia Yuyan became tense after Wan Jiang mentioned that. ”How did you know that person was me?”

Wan Jiang created a barrier around them, and he transformed into a young man a few moments later. However, his appearance was no longer that of an ordinary human; instead, he became a fairy with long white hair and six white wings on his back. ”People call me Wan Jiang, but my real name is Jia Xianzu.”

”Jia Xianzu the traitor.” Jia Yuyan muttered in shock.

”Hey—”

”Enough.” Wan Jiang immediately stopped the hot-headed Hua Mei’er. ”You’re right, I am the traitor Jia Xianzu. At least, that is the nickname given to me by Jia Zishen, even though I have never betrayed our race. Instead, he was the real traitor, and he did it to become the fairy king.”

Jia Yuyan looked at him with a darkened face. ”What do you mean by the fairy king is the traitor?”

”I won’t say anything about this matter.” Wan Jiang refused with a shake of his head. ”I have decided not to interfere in our fairy race’s affairs anymore, and you can ask your grandparents, Jia Lingzhu and Jia Shengyu, if you want to know the truth.”

Jia Yuyan was not surprised to hear the name of her grandparents from Wan Jiang’s mouth, especially since they were from the same generation. However, she was confused by his statement that the fairy king was the real traitor of their fairy race, and he did it to be their king.

Wan Jiang returned to his old man form and spoke to her. ”Pretend we have never met, and please do not mention my current identity to anyone, especially to members of our race. I was already quite down when they expelled me from our race, but I have forgotten all that, and the current me is Wan Jiang of the Peach Garden Domain.”

”The Peach Garden Domain? I didn’t expect you to choose that domain, but that domain is indeed quite similar to the Floral Mirage Domain, and many natural races live there.” Jia Yuyan then looked at Wang Jiang’s three disciples. ”Are they also natural races like us?”

Wan Jiang shook his head in response. ”Sima Yun, Hua Mei’er, and Helian Xun’er are ordinary humans. I met them when they joined my sect, and they have been my disciples since then.”

”I see.” Jia Yuyan nodded in understanding. ”I’m relieved that Zhang Fei brought you guys to this realm because I can’t use my true power in the Three Mortal Realms, and I can’t possibly stop Qi Lai by myself. In that case, I will return to my forest, and you guys can join me if you wish.”

”No need.” Wan Jiang immediately refused. ”Your forest is filled with complicated formations, so we will wait for Qi Lai here.”

”All right.”

After Jia Yuyan left the area, Hua Mei’er immediately asked the old man a question. ”Is it okay if you tell her your true identity, Master?”

”Don’t worry, that female elf is not stupid, and I’m sure she already knows that the fairy king is not a good person.” Wan Jiang then looked far away. ’Who are those two beasts? How could they be in the three mortal realms? They seem to be Zhang Fei’s friends, so I don’t need to think about them.’

Meanwhile, Duanmu Luolan was already at Zhang Xiaolong [3]’s residence and discussing the sensor formation in the Leng Clan. ”How long will it take you to create a formation to disrupt it?”

”I can create it in a few hours.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded in understanding. ”In that case, I want you to prepare it as soon as possible, and I will infiltrate the clan once you are ready.”

”All right, I will immediately prepare it once I return to my clan.”

”Can you tell me your array master rank?”

”Are you also an array master?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] told Duanmuo Luolan about his rank, which surprised her. ”I didn’t expect that you studied so many cultivation paths. You are a dual cultivator, an alchemist, a blacksmith, an array master, and a swordsman, right?”

”That’s right.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] then asked again. ”So, what about your array master rank?”

”Hehe.” Duanmu Luolan giggled before answering. ”I am a rank 10 array master.”

”Eh?” Zhang Xiaolong [3] was shocked to hear that, especially since rank 10 was the highest among array masters. ”Can you teach me more about formation arrays? Actually, I learned it by myself, but I also got some pointers from my two friends. However, they are only rank 4 and rank 7 array masters, so I want to learn from you about it.”

”If you want to learn more about formation arrays, you can find me at my Duanmu Clan, and I will teach you as much as you want.” Duanmu Luolan then stood up. ”I will return to my clan to prepare the formation, and I will bring it here tonight.”

After Duanmu Luolan left, Yuan Tianling immediately approached Zhang Xiaolong [3] and lay down on a chair with her head in his lap. ”What have you been doing since you arrived in this realm? Have you found some women that caught your interest?”

”Haha.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] laughed at that. ”So far, only four women have caught my attention, and two of them are quite close to me now.”

”Who are they?”

”Jia Yuyan and Shangguan Yan.” Yuan Tianling was momentarily stunned after Zhang Xiaolong [3] mentioned the two names, prompting him to explain to him about his relationship with them. ”The other two are Ju Zhu from the giant race and Duanmu Luolan.”

”Hmm?” Yuan Tianling squinted her eyes because Zhang Xiaolong [3] had only met Duanmu Luolan today, but he was already attracted to her. ”What made you interested in Aunt Luolan?”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] smiled at that. ”She is mature, pretty, powerful, and a peak rank array master. Therefore, it is only natural that I have an interest in her, right? If I had her by my side, I could utilize her abilities in formation arrays for all of us, and we would progress much faster with her help.”

”You are really strange.” Yuan Tianling said with a shake of his head. ”I agree with you approaching Aunt Luolan, and she is indeed suitable to be by your side. Moreover, she has been a widow for a long time, like Aunt Yan. I think she will be happy if she becomes your wife, so you should move quickly to approach her. However, I find it strange to hear that you are interested in a female giant, particularly considering her reputedly enormous body.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] nodded at her. ”Ju Zhu’s body is indeed big and sturdy, but she is really attractive, and I want her to be a member of my harem. Actually, she and her family have already agreed to follow me, but I haven’t started courting her yet, and I’m still waiting for the right time to do it.”

”So, what other things have you done in this realm? I also want to hear your other stories, especially after our separation more than two years ago.”

”Hahaha.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] rubbed her head and told her many things.

”Brother, Duanmu Luolan and the others have returned.”

”I already knew about their return, but their presence won’t change anything.” Leng Hua then gave several orders to Leng Kuan. ”Send people to monitor the Yuan and Ren Clans, and I also want you to send people to the Nalan and Beihuang Clans. Since Nalan Qingge and Beihuang Fan have not returned, it is time for us to take over their two clans. However, you must do it secretly, and do not let Tian Jingxuan be aware of your actions.”

”Yes, Brother.” Leng Kuan immediately summoned several people to carry out Leng Hua’s order.

”As I suspected before, that brat wants to interfere in our matter. They shouldn’t have returned yet, but they suddenly returned, and I’m sure he’s the one who brought them back this quickly.” Leng Hua immediately walked to the side of the window and looked into the distance. ”Why did Duanmu Luolan go to that brat’s residence? What are they planning? Could it be that they want to attack us?”

After thinking about it, Leng Hua immediately left his room and activated all the formations within the Leng Clan residence, and he also ordered all his clan members to prepare for any sudden attacks.

Meanwhile, Zhang Fei [5] was inside a building in the Qian Kingdom, and an old man accompanied him. ”Are you interested in this building, young master?”

”How much is this building worth, Senior?”

”Only 500,000 blue jewels.” The old man then explained. ”However, this building belongs to the royal family, so you have to go to the royal palace if you want to buy it.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding. ”Can you take me to the royal palace? I want to buy this building today, and I will open my shop as soon as possible.”

”Please follow me, Young Master.”

Sometime later, they were already at the Qiang Royal Palace, and Zhang Fei [5] could hear the people there talking about the deaths of Qiang Yun and tens of thousands of their soldiers, which made the Qiang Emperor furious. ’What a fool! They will never know that I killed them all.’

The old man brought Zhang Fei [5] into an office building located a little away from the main palace, where a young woman and several other women were busy taking care of many documents.

”Why did you bring a stranger here, Old Meng?” The young woman gently asked.

”Princess Qiang Yin, this young master wants to buy the building in the business sector, so I brought him here to see you.”

”Hmm?” Princess Qiang Yin immediately looked at Zhang Fei [5]. ”Forgive me for being presumptuous, but what is your purpose in wanting to buy that building, young master?”

’Why does a princess like her have to deal with trivial matters like this? Couldn’t they leave this kind of business to someone else?’ Zhang Fei [5] immediately approached her and placed several bottles of pills on the table. ”I am a venerable rank alchemist, and I want to open my shop in this kingdom. You can see my pills first, and you will not doubt my ability.”

Princess Qiang Yin immediately checked the pills inside each bottle, and her eyes widened after seeing so many superior-grade pills inside. ”Although this planet is in the upper realms, I have never seen so many superior-grade pills before, so I don’t need to doubt your abilities. Are you a native of this realm, Young Master?”

”No.” Zhang Fei [5] took all the bottles and put them away. ”Actually, I come from the Xianjin Realm, and I am an ambitious alchemist. In fact, I already have several shops on several planets, but I want to open my alchemy shop on all the planets in the upper realms, including this planet. Since Senior Meng said that the building belongs to the royal family, I came here to buy it, and I will open my shop in a few days.”

Princess Qiang Yin was surprised to hear about the Xianjin Realm from her. ”Young master, alchemists like you are very rare in this realm, so I would like to offer you a collaboration.”

”Please tell me, Princess.”
