Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 986: Meet The Seniors

”What do you think I should do now?” Shangguan Yan asked the others. ”Honestly, I am not afraid of Leng Hua, but my Shangguan Clan will lose if we go to war with the Leng Clan, especially since their numbers are much greater.”

Shi Yan immediately expressed his idea. ”Since Leng Hua has started to act like that, I think itʼs time for us to settle things with them. Moreover, Cao Ren and the others are still away, so I think this is our best chance to get rid of the Leng Clan, and we can focus on preparing to face the Cao Clan and its allies.”

”I agree with you, Old Shi.” Qing Huang responded by nodding. ”Leng Huaʼs actions of threatening Shangguan Yan were excessive and outrageous, especially since his problem was not with the Shangguan Clan but Zhang Xiaolong.”

Tian Jingxuan shared their thoughts, but he was also considering the more complex implications of fighting Leng Hua and the Leng Clan. Although Cao Ren and many members of the Cao Clan were absent, the Gu, Bao, and Sima Clans were present, and they were ready to take advantage of the situation. ”Are Chi Yuexin and Lin Zuxin still not back?”

”Weʼre here.” They immediately turned to look at Chi Yuexin, Lin Zuxin, and Wenren Yue, who had just arrived. ”We failed to recruit Shang Ziyuan, and we dare not force our will.”

”How did you two fail to recruit Shang Ziyuan? Have you offered her the best opportunity?” Shi Yan asked them

Both women immediately sat down on the empty chairs, with Wenren Yue standing behind Chi Yuexin. ”The Shang Clan has been destroyed, and the Zhang Clan took over their clan.”

”The Zhang Clan?”

”Can you guys guess the identity of the leader of the Zhang Clan?” All of them shook their heads at Lin Zuxin. ”The leader of the clan is Zhang Fei, and he is Zhang Xiaolongʼs identical twin brother.”

”What?” Qing Huang and the others screamed in shock.

Lin Zuxin immediately told them. ”At first, we thought Zhang Fei was Zhang Xiaolongʼs clone, but I can confirm that he is a real person. But I find some things difficult to believe, like their similar auras and cultivation. There are several twins in my Lin Clan, but none of them have the same aura and cultivation, which makes me feel strange about those two.”

”Are the two of them really identical?”

”Not really.” Chu Yuexin created a qi screen in front of them, and she inserted a little of her memories into it. ”Zhang Feiʼs face, physique, aura, and cultivation are indeed identical to those of Zhang Xiaolong. However, I feel that their characters are entirely different, and this person is much more cruel than his twin brother. He killed many members of the Shang Clan, and he imprisoned Shang Ziyuan in a special place. At first, I thought of using a little force, but I gave up my intention because there were several powerful cultivators by his side, and their cultivation was on par with ours.”

Jia Yuyan smiled faintly as she listened to the two women because she already knew about Zhang Feiʼs five clones, and she was sure that the one they met in the Red Sun Realm was one of her clones. ʼThat brat is such an expert con artist! He deliberately made the characters of his two clones different to confuse them, but they are basically the same person with such a vile character.ʼ

Tian Jingxuan immediately spoke to them. ”Even though I want Shang Ziyuan to join us, there is nothing we can do now. Therefore, we should forget about him and focus on the problem at hand, especially about Leng Huaʼs threat to Shangguan Yan.”

”Huh?” Chi Yuexin and Lin Zuxin were shocked to hear that. ”Did Leng Hua really threaten you?”

”When did he do it?”

”This morning he came to my clan and threatened me.” Shangguan Yan then told the two women the beginning of his problem with Leng Hua. ”That kid came to me because he wanted to learn about domains, so I taught him about it, and he managed to create his domain after a long night. However, that old bastard thought that we had another relationship, so he came to me and threatened me like that.”

”Leng Hua is too paranoid, and itʼs driving him crazy.” Chi Yuexin shook her head as she spoke. ”If he was really sane, he wouldnʼt think that you would like a young man like Zhang Xiaolong.”

”Haha.” Lin Zuxin laughed at that. ”If Leng Hua heard you, he would threaten you too, Yuexin.”

Chi Yuexin shrugged her shoulders. ”If Leng Hua dares to come to me and threaten me, I will fight him straight away regardless of the risk. Although the Leng Clan is strong, my Chi Clan is not inferior to them, and the worst-case scenario is that our two clans will be destroyed together.”

”If that happens, our position will become even more difficult against the Cao Clan, so I hope that something like that will never happen.” Tian Jingxuan let out a heavy sigh after saying that.

”It all depends on that old bastard.” Chi Yuexin then asked them. ”So, what are your plans for Leng Hua? Are we going to deal with him now? If we all work together, that old bastard will be helpless in the face of our attacks, and we can finish off the Leng Clan before Cao Ren and the others return.”

”I think so too, but Jingxuan seems to still be hesitant about it.” Shi Yan answered her.

Qing Huang also spoke to her. ”If we persist in allowing Leng Hua and the Leng Clan to behave in such a manner, they will persist in causing trouble, and the peace will never return to our realm.”

All of them looked at Tian Jingxuan for an answer, but instead, he looked at Jia Yuyan and asked her. ”What do you think about this situation? Should we get rid of Leng Hua and the Leng Clan now?”

”Just get rid of them.” They were startled to hear that, but Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately walked into the room, and his presence made Shangguan Yanʼs heart beat fast, remembering their time together in the dream.

Chi Yuexin and Lin Zuxin exchanged glances for a moment before looking back at Zhang Xiaolong [3], still puzzled by his resemblance to Zhang Fei, especially since they appeared so similar. ʼAre they really twins?ʼ

”I apologize if I came uninvited, but this matter has something to do with me, so I canʼt just sit back and do nothing.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] immediately walked behind Shangguan Yan and spoke to them. ”If you want to regain peace, you must get rid of those who are a thorn in the flesh for this realm; otherwise, peace will only be an empty hope, and this realm will always face difficult situations. Since Leng Hua threatened the Shangguan because of me, I will do something about them. However, I need your help to do something about the formations protecting the Leng Clanʼs residence, and I will take care of the rest.”

”What are your plans for them, kid?” Qing Huang asked him with a serious expression.

Shi Yan was also curious about that. ”Please share your plans with us, and we will consider them first.”

”We donʼt need to kill them, as it would be a great loss to this realm, and weʼll do something else.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] then took out two pills and showed them to the people present. ”After Leng Hua and the others swallow these pills, they will continue to weaken for a period of time. They wonʼt notice my pills because they are odorless and colorless, and they will eventually be unable to use their cultivation. At that time, we will attack them, and they will not have the ability to attack us back. After that, you can do whatever you want to them, including using them as sacrifices against the Cao Clan.”

Shangguan Yan took two pills from his hand. ”What kind of pills are these? Can you explain their exact effects to us?”

”The white one is the Vein-Sealing Pill, and its effect will seal their meridians, preventing them from circulating their Qi. The red one is the Bone-Softening Pill, and you should be able to guess its effect from its name, right?” Shangguan Yan and the others nodded to Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ”Iʼve checked the Leng Clan before, and I found a sensor formation there, so I didnʼt dare to barge in there because it would immediately detect my presence, and I would have to fight them if that happened.”

Qing Huang asked immediately. ”Donʼt you have those beast ancestors by your side? They should be able to help you fight them, right?”

”Youʼre right about that.” Zhang Xiaolong [3] gave a nod of approval. ”However, I am a newcomer to this realm, and news about my test has already spread widely to the public. Therefore, I prefer not to act openly, as it may attract unwanted attention from those people. If you do something to the Leng Clan, those people will not dare to question your actions. I will immediately infiltrate there to scatter my two pills into their drinking water and food sources, and I will leave afterward.”

”I think thatʼs the best choice for now.” Chi Yuexin then asked the others. ”What do you guys think about that? As long as Leng Hua and the Leng Clan still exist, Cao Ren and the Cao Clan will probably still postpone their plans.”

”I think we can use this kidʼs plans.” Jia Yuyan finally spoke. ”Actually, what is holding back the Cao Clan from moving is not the Leng Clan but my natural races and beast races, but we wonʼt make our move before they make their move, so everyone is waiting for each other. Therefore, I think it is fine if we take action against Leng Hua and his clan members, and this kid should have something else to use against them.”

ʼThis woman! I have clearly said that I donʼt want to get involved with them directly, but she is provoking them instead!ʼ Jia Yuyan smirked slightly as if she understood Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs thoughts. ”We shouldnʼt think about that for now, and we should weaken Leng Hua and his clan members first.”

”So, whatʼs your decision, Jingxuan? If you agree to this kidʼs plans, weʼll make a move on Leng Hua and the Leng Clan.” All of them were waiting for Tian Jingxuanʼs decision because he was the main leader of their realm.

*Tap... Tap...*

As he tapped his fingers on the table, Tian Jingxuan seriously thought about it. ”I think we can do that, but we canʼt do it now because none of us understand formation arrays. Therefore, we have to wait for Duanmu Luolan to return, especially since she is one of the best array masters in our realm.”

”Have they left the Moon Tower?” Shangguan Yan asked in surprise.

Tian Jingxuan nodded at her. ”Yuan Tianquan sent me a voice transmission two days ago, and he told me that they managed to reach the top of the tower. Based on his information, the tower is indeed the key to going to the Paradise Realm, and some of them decided to ascend to that realm.”

”Damn it! I should have joined them!” Chi Yuexin cursed in annoyance. ”Who among them decided to ascend to the Paradise Realm?”

”Yuan Tiancheng, Ruan Xiaoqi, Nalan Qingge, Beihuang Fan, and six others.” They were not surprised to hear the decisions of the other eight people. However, they were shocked that the two women from the Nalan and Beihuang Clans had decided to ascend to the Paradise Realm, as they were crucial members of their respective clans, and their clans would fall into chaos if they did not return. ”They will probably return to this realm in a month or so, so we will wait for their return before making a move against Leng Hua and the Leng Clan.”

”I donʼt think we need to wait that long, right?” Jia Yuyan directed her question to Zhang Xiaolong [3].
