Zhang Fei, who had previously been focusing on cultivating, immediately opened his eyes when both notifications appeared. He was curious about the reward from the daily gift pack, but he remembered that the reward from the quest to meet Cain and go to the dead forest had not been opened, so he asked Mei to open them.

[You obtained 1 Abyssal Heart Pendant.]

[You obtained 1 Bloodmoon Devouring Array.]

[Abyssal Heart Pendant: A pendant that is imbued with demon energy, it can enhance the wielderʼs cultivation while corrupting their mind. Grade: Earth.]

[Bloodmoon Devouring Array: A dark formation that channels the power of a blood moon, draining the life force of those trapped within it. Grade: Intermediate-High. Limited: one-time use.]

Zhang Fei immediately took the two new items, but he frowned when he read the description of the Abyssal Heart Pendant. ʼCorrupts the userʼs mind? Does that mean I will become berserk if I use this pendant?ʼ

[There is a possibility of that happening, master. You should not use it unless you are in a truly desperate situation, or the pendant will affect you, and the people around you will have a hard time stopping you.]

ʼYeah, youʼre right.ʼ Zhang Fei immediately read the description of the Bloodmoon Devouring Array. ʼEven though I can only use it once, I believe its effects are quite strong, and I might be able to use it if I encounter opponents stronger than me.ʼ

[Master, the gift box is not bad, and you can get a random reward from it, such as Qi, female essence, beast essence, jewels, and usable items. However, the description doesnʼt mention anything about the usable items, but all the items from the system quests are valuable.]

ʼOpen it, Mei.ʼ

[You gained 50.000 beast essence.]

As soon as the notification appeared, Zhang Fei felt a surge of energy coursing through his body, which was undoubtedly the beast essence. Although the amount was not too much for his current level, he was still satisfied with it, but he hoped that he would get better rewards later, especially the usable items.

Zhang Feiʼs two clones immediately entered the training space to practice using the battle simulation feature by fighting his old enemies, especially since he was sure that sooner or later he would meet stronger enemies in the Nine Stars Realm.

Zhang Fei felt that he could no longer rely on the hit-and-run strategy he used when fighting his enemies in the Sky Jade Realm, especially since the people around him lacked the strength to take on strong cultivators from their current realm. Therefore, he needed to continue enhancing his combat experience, particularly in hand-to-hand combat.

”Fei.”

Zhang Fei smiled when he saw Mu Lingshu and Lin Dongʼer walking towards him, and he asked them to sit on either side of him. ”Why donʼt you two go to sleep? Itʼs almost midnight, you know?”

”Iʼm homesick.” Lin Dongʼer was the first to answer him. ”Iʼm accustomed to living in the sect with my father, and this is my first time visiting another realm.” Furthermore, we have spent a significant amount of time traveling to this realm, so I missed our home realm and my father so much.”

”We just arrived in this realm today, so itʼs natural that you feel homsick, but youʼll get used to this new environment after a few days, especially since I myself was like that when I first came to our realm.” Lin Dongʼer nodded and laid her head on Zhang Feiʼs right shoulder. ”What about you, Lingshu? Are you feeling homesick too?”

”No.” Mu Lingshu shook her before explaining. ”Having lived alone for a long time, Iʼm accustomed to this type of situation. However, I usually need a few days to adapt to my new environment, and I always have trouble sleeping when I move to a new place.”

Zhang Fei immediately pulled Mu Lingshuʼs head to his left shoulder before hugging their waists. ”Back then, you lived alone because your family didnʼt want you, but you are no longer alone because you have all of us by your side, and we will all help you get used to everything.”

Listening to Zhang Fei, a sweet smile appeared on Mu Lingshuʼs face, but she then looked at the crowd of women, who were mostly sleeping in the distance. ”Anyway, I feel weird seeing all of them gathered together in one place, especially since you and your clones are essentially the same person, but you divided them into different groups.

Mistress Shen, Senior Shen Yu, and several others are your official wives. Your first clone has Du Yuan, Ning Xiang, and the others as his partners. Your second clone has Fyr, Eve, Leora, and Ashreth as his partners. Your third clone has Ba Shuxiang and Xie Jingxian as his partners. If my guess is correct, your other clones also have their own partners, right?”

”My fourth clone has several female demon partners now, but they are not official partners, and I only use them to increase my demon rank.

My fifth clone has no partner at the moment, and he only focuses on dual soul cultivating with my seven female prisoners.” Mu Lingshu and Lin Dongʼer immediately looked up at him with frowns, and Zhang Fei then told them about his original plans for the female disciples of the Yin-Yang Pavilion and the demons of the Diyu Realm.

”However, I changed my mind about them, and I wanted them to continue staying by my clonesʼ side, so I took them with us now.”

”Then, what about me? Are you also going to give me to one of them?” Lin Dongʼer asked in an irritated tone, as she did not want to be the wife of Zhang Feiʼs clones, and she wanted to be his official wife in the future.

Mu Lingshu didnʼt ask anything, but she was also curiously waiting for Zhang Feiʼs answer, especially since she herself only wanted to be his official wife if their relationship had deepened and her body had become normal.

”Hahaha.” Zhang Fei laughed at her question and pulled his left hand from Mu Lingshuʼs waist. He then cupped Lin Dongʼerʼs face, but the timid rabbitʼs cheeks blushed as soon as he kissed her, which was their first kiss. ”Do you know the answer now? If I wanted to give you to my clone, I would have eaten you long ago using my first clone.”

Lin Dongʼer immediately laid her head on Zhang Feiʼs right shoulder again, rubbed her lips, and smiled to herself as her cheeks became even redder.

Zhang Fei then turned to the other woman and lifted her chin, causing Mu Lingshuʼs heart to pound as his face moved closer to hers. She immediately closed her eyes as soon as their lips touched each other, but he didnʼt kiss her for too long and separated their lips again.

Mu Lingshu immediately laid her head on Zhang Feiʼs left shoulder again and hugged his waist. ”Iʼve never liked a man before, but your sincerity in wanting to heal my body touched my feelings, and I unknowingly started to like you. Unfortunately, due to your busy schedule over the past few months, I havenʼt had much opportunity to meet you, which has left me feeling deeply saddened.

Honestly, I thought that you had forgotten about me because of your business, but you suddenly appeared that day with a new technique. Even though it failed to cure my body, I am still happy that you have never forgotten about me.”

”Iʼm sorry for making you sad before, but the situation is different now, and we will be together for a long time in this realm, so we have plenty of time to deepen our relationship.” Mu Lingshu herself was happy with Zhang Feiʼs decision to take her away with him, so there was no need for them to be separated by distance and time.

”As for your body abnormalities, I will definitely fulfill my promise to you, and I will take you as my wife after your body becomes normal.”

”I believe in you.”

After they talked for some time, Mu Lingshu and Lin Dongʼer joined the other women again and slept with them.

Zhang Fei himself did not go to sleep right away, but he jumped onto the tallest tree in the area. For quite some time, he looked at the star tower while thinking about his plans regarding the tower. He then turned his gaze towards the location of the Cyanwood Mountain, and he was truly impatient to go there to take the low-rank lightning elemental seed.

”Mei, those lightnings are definitely not ordinary ones, and they seem to be strengthened by the lightning law.”

[Hehehe! Your guess is right, master. Those lightnings are indeed strengthened by the lightning law, so they are suitable for improving your lightning body cultivation technique, and your body will become even stronger if you continue to forge it using them.

It would be even more beneficial if you were able to obtain the lightning element, as it is considered one of the strongest among the basic elements. Unlike the fire element, which focuses more on single attacks because of its strong explosive power, you can use the lightning element for AOE attack and defense, which will make it easier for you to fight and defend against group enemies.]

”Mei, I certainly want to obtain the lightning element, but it wonʼt be as easy as turning over my palm.” Zhang Fei then pointed in that direction. ”Look at them; the flashes of those lightnings can be seen from this distance, so they are truly powerful.

Since I donʼt yet possess the lightning element, my current body wonʼt be able to withstand their attacks, and they will likely reduce me to ashes as soon as they strike.”

[Anyway, master, you forgot about something. Actually, I wanted to remind you about it, but you were too focused on your cultivation and soul cultivation, so I waited for your situation to relax first.]

”What do you mean by that?”

[Master, you still havenʼt met the last beast on Earth, remember? The thunderbird lives in the Amazon forest, and it must have the lightning element. Iʼm sure its lightning element wonʼt be inferior to Hong Xinxin, even if its cultivation is still far below hers, so I think you can use the fifth clone to meet the beast.

If you can convince it, it can help you to practice your lightning body cultivation technique, and your body will probably become accustomed to lightning attacks, so you will be more prepared to face those lightnings in the Cyanwood Mountain in the future.]

”Oh! Thatʼs right! I forgot about that beast!” Zhang Fei immediately used his fifth clone to go there, but two notifications suddenly appeared in his mind.

”The amount of Qi I have to absorb and the beasts I have to kill to complete the two daily quests didnʼt increase, huh? I think this is very good, so I donʼt have to waste too much time completing them.” Zhang Fei immediately jumped down from the tree to cultivate again, and Mei, as usual, was in charge of keeping an eye on the area around them.

In a distant realm, a middle-aged man leisurely strolls among the town crowd, carrying a large package in his hand. However, the townʼs population is relatively small compared to its size, giving it a deserted appearance. Dense forests that are not too large surround the entire town, and many beasts roam there, both land beasts and flying beasts.

On the other side of the forest, there is a high mountain, but its peak cannot be seen by the eye because it penetrates the clouds in the sky.

Arriving outside the city, the middle-aged man hurriedly headed east and entered the forest, and he moved very carefully so as not to provoke the beasts that lived in it. Fortunately, he was familiar with every area of the forest, so he could find the safest route to return to his place.

After walking for quite a while, the middle-aged man arrived at the other side of the forest. He hurriedly climbed up the mountain until he reached a fairly flat area, where there was a small hut.

As he entered the hut, the middle-aged man let out a soft sigh as he looked at a female demon with long white hair who was still unconscious on the bamboo bed, especially since her body was covered in many deep wounds.

The middle-aged man quickly unwrapped the package, selected the herbs he had bought in the town earlier, and ground them by mixing them with a little water until they became a thick liquid. He also prepared several other herbs by boiling them in water, making the water turn dark green.

Once everything was ready, the middle-aged man took the two to bed and lifted the female demon to assist her in drinking the liquid. After that, he carefully applied the thick liquid to her wounds, covering them completely. ”What actually happened there?

This woman was supposed to be a descendant of Zethia, but she ended up stranded in this realm through that portal, so Iʼm sure something bad happened there.”

”Ugh.” The female demon suddenly groaned softly as she slowly opened her eyes, but the middle-aged man could see that her eyes were unfocused, especially since he had been unconscious for so long.

”Finally awake?” The female demon was surprised to hear the middle-aged manʼs question, so she immediately turned to him. However, her expression turned to shock once she recognized his face, and she tried to get up, but he immediately stopped her. ”Your injuries havenʼt fully healed yet, so youʼd better not move for the time being.

Otherwise, theyʼll get worse again, and the treatment Iʼve given you for the past month and a half will be in vain.”

The female demon nodded slightly and lay down again. ”Demon Emperor Azaroth, you are still alive.”

”Hahaha!” Azaroth laughed upon hearing that. ”Despite spending thousands of years stranded in this realm and having my demon power sealed by the man who sent me here, I remain alive and well to this day. Anyway, what is your name? How did you end up entering that portal?

As far as I remember, that man placed a lion guardian in front of the portal, and he also used a special formation to prevent other demons from finding it.”

”My name is Ilsath, the daughter of Zethia.” Ilsath then provided Azaroth with an explanation of all the events that transpired in the Netherworld Realm, which included the fake demon emperor, the Shang Clanʼs cultivators, and their invasion of various realms.

”Honestly, we never knew that the man was an impostor, and we only found out about it after a beast woman confronted those human cultivators. After that, the demon kings and queens decided to look for that portal to free you, but we were attacked by the guardian.

As for me, King Bapho used me as a shield, and the guardianʼs attack sent me flying into the portal, but I didnʼt expect that you would be the one to save me.”

”Bapho, huh?” Azaroth muttered to himself. ”That brat is indeed a coward and scaredy cat, but I didnʼt expect him to use a demon weaker than him as a shield. If only I could return to our realm, I would definitely capture him and allow the demon beasts to eat him alive.”

Ilsath smiled when she heard that, especially since Azaroth was much different from Oz the first, who ruled them with an iron fist.

”All right, you donʼt need to think about anything for now, and you should focus on healing your wounds first.”

”Thank you, Emperor.”
