Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 473: Meeting Cain

Two of the several female demons who were cleaning the mansion were shocked to hear Zhang Fei [4]ʼs voice. Although they had not heard his voice for a long time, they could still recognize it, particularly since he had sent them to the Netherworld Realm until they both became demons.

”Lu Xin, isnʼt that his voice?”

Lu Xin nodded to Yu Xixuan, who was shaking with fear. ”Thereʼs no mistaking that itʼs Zhang Feiʼs voice. He can send us here, so he can definitely come here too.”

”Do you two know that man?” The male voice from behind surprised the two women, and they immediately turned to Cain before nodding to him. ”Is he the one who sent you to this realm?”

”Yes, Lord Cain. His name is Zhang Fei, and he was indeed the one who sent us to this realm, but we donʼt know his purpose in coming to see you.”

Cain himself has a gentle and handsome face, and his figure is also very tall, around 6ʼ8”. Unlike the other demons who always radiate an aura of ferocity, the aura that radiates from him actually shows gentleness. Uniquely, there is a transparent red female figure floating behind him, and her body is similar to a fire, but no demon can see it except for him.

”Follow me; letʼs find out the reason he came to my mansion.” Cain then led the two women to meet Zhang Fei [4], but they were very afraid to meet him. Despite this, they followed him while suppressing their fear, believing that their master would protect them as usual.

Zhang Fei [4] raised his eyebrows slightly as the mansion door opened by itself, but he hurried inside, especially since he could see Cain and the two women walking from inside via his map.

”Oh? Arenʼt you the incubus that Orith brought to their tower?” Once they were face-to-face, Cain immediately questioned Zhang Fei [4], but the two women immediately hid behind their master upon catching his glance. ”Moreover, my two maids told me that you sent them to this realm; that means you are a human like them, right?

How do you think the three succubi duchesses will react when they find out your true identity?”

Zhang Fei [4] smiled faintly hearing that. ”Lord Cain, you are a marquis rank demon like me, so you should be able to see that I am a pure demon, right? Moreover, Iʼm sure you wonʼt reveal my identity to the three succubi duchesses, especially since you donʼt have any solid evidence about it except for the testimony of low-ranking demons like them.”

”Well, thatʼs true.” Cain replied with a nod of agreement, gesturing towards the sofa. He immediately sat down, with the two women standing behind him. ”So what business do you have with me, Zhang Fei? Or should I address you as Elion?”

”Since these two female women have already informed you of my identity, you can call me whatever you like.” After that, Zhang Fei [4] immediately sat down in front of them before taking out a bloodstone, which he placed on the table, surprising Cain.

”I donʼt want to talk nonsense with you, and I came here to offer you cooperation, especially since Iʼve heard quite a lot about you from Old Arbeola, so I know that you are the best person for that.”

”Lord Arbeola, huh?” Cain muttered to himself while looking at Zhang Fei [4] in disbelief.

”Old Arbeola has helped me a lot since I came to this realm, and our relationship is very good. If you donʼt believe me, then you can ask him directly.” Zhang Fei [4] then pointed at the bloodstone. ”As you can feel for yourself, the demon power inside this stone is stronger than the demon power in this realm.”

”I know Lord Arbeola very well, and he wouldnʼt have told you about me if he wasnʼt interested in you, so I wonʼt doubt you.” Cain immediately took the bloodstone and looked at it more carefully, and he could feel the strength of demon power in it. ”Did you get this stone from other demon realms?”

”Youʼre right, I got it from other demon realms, and the demons there are much stronger than the demons in this realm.” Zhang Fei [4] didnʼt hide it, because Cain already knew about his ability to move between realms from the two female demons. ”If you cooperate with me and become my ally, I can give you more of this stone, and you can reach the duke rank faster if you absorb it.”

Naturally, Cain was very tempted by Zhang Fei [4]ʼs offer to reach the duke rank faster, but he couldnʼt possibly believe him so easily. ”Why do you want to cooperate with me and make me your ally? Hasnʼt Lady Orith already placed her trust in you? Her status is much higher than mine, and she can help you do more in this realm.”

”Youʼre not wrong with that.” Zhang Fei [4] then pointed towards the incubus tower. ”Orith and the othersʼ status is indeed high, but that incubus lord is a hassle, especially since he wants to have the three of them for himself. Moreover, my current strength isnʼt yet comparable to his, so I donʼt want to get into trouble with him.

Besides, Old Arbeola told me that your status is actually higher than theirs, or else you couldnʼt possibly live so comfortably in this mansion; even Yhrer wouldnʼt dare to disturb you.”

Cain responded with just a smile. ”So what kind of cooperation do you want from me?”

”Itʼs not difficult.” Zhang Fei [4] then explained his wishes to Cain. ”Old Arbeola told me that you have many demons under you, so it should be an easy matter for you, right?”

”Thatʼs correct.” However, Cain seemed confused by Zhang Fei [4]ʼs wishes. ”Since you can go to other demon realms with stronger resources, I find it strange that you want to search for resources in this realm, and you should cooperate with the demons in that realm instead.”

”I donʼt have any connections in that realm yet, and the demons there could kill me very easily, so I donʼt want to take the risk.” Cain nodded in understanding to Zhang Fei [4], who immediately continued.

”There are so many demons on my side, but their ranks are still low right now, and there is great danger lurking in their realm, so I need a lot of resources to strengthen them as soon as possible. The best option I have now is to utilize the resources available in this realm to strengthen them, especially since their effects are still significant to them.”

After hearing that, Cain fell silent and pondered the pros and cons of accepting Zhang Fei [4]ʼs offer. He himself had long wanted to upgrade his demon rank to the duke rank, and the bloodstone was a shortcut for him to achieve it faster.

Zhang Fei [4] himself was not in a hurry about the matter, so he let Cain think about his offer first. However, he repeatedly looked at Lu Xin and Yu Xixuan, causing their bodies to continue trembling in fear. ʼHey! Iʼm already very satisfied seeing you two become demons like me, so you guys donʼt need to be afraid of me because I wonʼt do anything to you anymore.ʼ

Lu Xin and Yu Xixuan fell into a daze as soon as they heard Zhang Fei [4]ʼs voice in their heads, especially since Cain had never spoken to them in such a way.

After he had thought things through, Cain spoke directly to Zhang Fei [4]. ”Your offer is very tempting, but I will not accept it just like that, and I have one condition for you if you want me to be your ally.”

”Tell me.”

”In addition to this bloodstone, I want you to take me to other demon realms.” Zhang Fei [4] raised his eyebrows at Cainʼs request. ”Iʼm not asking you to take me to that realm now because Iʼm fully aware of my own strength, and I want you to take me to that realm after I reach the King Realm.

I know it takes a long time to reach that rank, but Iʼm confident that I can reach that rank in a few years if I have a lot of this bloodstone.”

”Sorry to say this, but you canʼt go to that realm, even if you reach King Rank later. At least, you have to reach emperor rank first to be able to go there, especially since the demons in that realm are completely different from the demons of this realm.” Cain folded his forehead as he perceived that Zhang Fei [4] was looking down on him. ”Iʼm not looking down on you, but Iʼm telling the truth.

Do you know the humans who control this realm?”

”Yes.”

”Those humans are cultivators, and the demons in the demon realm are demon cultivators. The fake demon emperor is also a demon cultivator like them, and you must be aware of the horror of his strength.” When Zhang Fei [4] mentioned this, Cainʼs expression turned to shock. ”Actually, Iʼm both a human and a demon cultivator, so I can tell you that they are truly powerful.

Even if you reach the emperor rank, you are still an ordinary demon, and you will never be able to defeat them.”

For quite some time, Cain couldnʼt escape his shock, especially since he himself had met Oz the first several times, so he was fully aware that his strength was nothing compared to his. ”Since they can become demon cultivators, that means I can become one too, right?”

”Unfortunately, you canʼt become a demon cultivator, especially since you donʼt have cultivation veins, which is the main requirement for cultivation.” Zhang Fei [4]ʼs answer disappointed Cain. ”However, you still have the opportunity to become a cultivator, but you must go through a very painful process to do so.

Unfortunately, finding the materials needed is not an easy matter, and it requires many casualties to turn you into a cultivator.”

”What do you mean by that?”

Zhang Fei [4] let out a heavy sigh before telling Cain the truth. ”As I said before, you donʼt have cultivation veins, so I have to implant other human or demon cultivation veins for you. To extract their cultivation veins, I have to kill them, and not all of them will be suitable for your body. Additionally, the process is not easy, and you will die if it fails.”

Not only was Cain shocked by Zhang Fei [4]ʼs explanation, but Lu Xin and Yu Xixuan were also shocked, and they were worried that their lives would suffer if their master died because of it.

Cain then shook his head. ”Forget it! Iʼm quite satisfied with my current life, so I wonʼt risk my life on such a possibility. Even so, I still want to go to other demon realms, and I will follow your advice to do so after I reach the emperor rank.”

”Does this mean you are willing to be my ally?”

”Sure.” Cain nodded to Zhang Fei [4]. ”Iʼll start ordering the demons under me to search for the resources you want, and Iʼll contact you after theyʼve managed to collect them.”

Zhang Fei [4] frowned slightly because the system didnʼt give him a follow-up quest after he completed that one, making him think that the quests in the Diyu Realm and the Netherworld Realm were over. ʼCould it be that I have to go to other demon realms to get new quests?ʼ

[There is such a possibility, Master. However, this Netherworld Realm is a demon realm in the middle realms, so I think you have to go to the demon realm in the upper realms to be able to get new quests.]

Zhang Fei [4] let out a soft sigh in his heart before taking out two more bloodstones, and he immediately handed them to Cain. ”Even though you agreed to be my ally, and Old Arbeola also recommended you to me, this is our first time working together. Therefore, I wonʼt give you so much right away, and I will give you some more after you hand over the resources to me.”

”Thatʼs not a problem for me.” Cain then pointed to the two women behind him. ”Do you want them?”

”Master, we-”

”No.” Zhang Fei [4] immediately rejected Cainʼs offer. At first, he did think about bringing Lu Xin and Yu Xixiuan to his side, but he didnʼt have access to the succubus tower at that time. However, he could now move freely in the tower, and the succubi were much stronger than them, so he decided to forget about the two women.

”Since my business here is finished, I will return to the tower again, and you can contact me directly once everything is ready.”

”All right.” Yu Xixuan and Lu Xin felt relieved once Zhang Fei [4] disappeared from the mansion, but Cain then spoke to them. ”At first, I didnʼt ask you two to serve me because I thought that the person who sent you to this realm was very powerful, and I deliberately waited for him to come to me.

Since he already stated he didnʼt want you two, I want you guys to start serving me today, and you will also be my right-hand men in managing my cooperation with him.”

Yu Xixuan and Lu Xin were surprised by Cainʼs words, but he had treated the two of them so well since he bought them from the slave market, so they immediately agreed to his wishes. ”Yes, Master.”

”Thatʼs good.” Cain then stood up from his seat and walked out. ”Letʼs go. I will introduce you two to my subordinates, and you will take care of them later.”

Zhang Fei [4] decided to inspect every area of the succubus tower after his return, particularly those areas the map system had failed to detect. Moreover, Orith told him that Yan Zixiu appeared in their dungeon after she was ejected by the space rift, and he couldnʼt detect her presence there, so he decided to check the place directly.

Upon his arrival, Zhang Fei [4] could see several prisoners, almost all of whom were male demons. However, his gaze suddenly fell on the female demon with ocean blue hair, whose hands and feet were chained to the corners of the room. A blindfold concealed her eyes, while a ball gagged her mouth. Her charming face and seductive naked body piqued his interest, so he immediately entered her prison room.

ʼScan her, Mei. I feel that she is stronger than the three succubi duchesses.ʼ

ʼA marchioness rank demon whale, huh? However, her demon aura is not inferior to Morganaʼs, which means she is a demon from the upper realms.ʼ Zhang Fei [4] then removed the blindfold and ball that covered Balenaʼs eyes and mouth, shocking her upon seeing him.

”Who are you? How could a male demon like you roam around this tower?”

”My name is Elion, and Orith brought me to this tower.” Balena frowned after hearing Zhang Fei [4]ʼs answer. ”I donʼt know what your problem is with them, but I came to this tower to save someone and for some other reasons, so Iʼm not part of them. Anyway, why did they lock you up here? Moreover, youʼre not a demon from this realm, right?

If my guess is not wrong, you should come from a demon realm in the upper realm, right?”
