Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 487: Resting

”Itʼs okay; you still remember that man now, but you will manage to forget him soon.” Shang Xinyu seemed unsure that she would be able to forget the man in her dream, especially since Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs face was similar to that manʼs, and she felt that she would continue to remember him if she saw him more often. ”Anyway, Shang Xiaoyin wonʼt be back in this realm until next week, right?”

”Yes.”

”How about we spend our time in seclusion in this place for a week?”

”Eh?” Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs desire surprised Shang Xinyu, but he immediately nodded. ”Itʼs fine if you want to do that, but Yaolin and I have to carry out our duties, so we have to return to our residence frequently. However, we will return here once our duties are complete, and we will accompany you here. Arenʼt you going to cultivate your soul?”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] shook his head and proceeded to explain. ”Senior Brother Liangren asked me not to cultivate my soul for the next three days, but I was thinking of stopping for a bit longer, especially since my body cultivation path is still in its early stages, so I want to improve it.

Moreover, this place is very good for that, and this kind of opportunity is rare, so I want to make good use of it.”

”I see.” Shang Xinyu then pulled her hand away from Zhang Xiaolong [3] and straightened her position. ”Since youʼve decided that, then you can do it. Iʼll contact you immediately when Shang Xiaoyin returns to this realm, so you can hurry up and leave this place. Anyway, weʼve wasted too much time, so letʼs begin cultivating our bodies.”

Zhang Xiaolong [3] didnʼt want to rush things with Shang Xinyu, so he closed his eyes and began to cultivate his body using the beast blood in the pond.

On the balcony of the ancient floating castle, Feltia [2] was standing side by side with Morgana, and she asked her about the abilities of the sorcerer demons in her home realm. Although he was surprised by her question, the demon witch immediately told him in as much detail as possible about the abilities of the demon race.

Unfortunately, Feltia [2] was disappointed with the result because the abilities of the sorcerer demons were different from what she had previously expected. ”Have you ever heard of other living beings who have the ability to create random portals?”

”Hmm?” Morgana searched her memories first, but she shook her head some time later. ”As far as I can remember, only the people from the Xianjin Realm have the ability to create portals to connect two realms that are so far apart, and Shang Huaqiang got his portal from one of those people, though Iʼm not sure who that person is.”

”Have you ever been to the Xianjin Realm before?”

”Yes.” Feltia [2] immediately touched Morganaʼs forehead and shared a picture of the young girl who killed and resurrected him. ”The Xianyin realm is not a small realm, and the population in that realm is much larger than in other realms, so I never met her before. Why are you looking for her?”

”She was the one who brought about a big change in my life until I became who I am today.” Feltia [2]ʼs answer surprised Morgana. ”Unfortunately, I donʼt know her name or where she came from, so I wanted to find her to express my gratitude and ask her why she helped me.”

Morgana nodded in understanding. ”Since that girl can help you, Iʼm sure that she comes from powerful clans or races out there, and you might meet her someday when youʼve become fully powerful.”

”Yeah, youʼre right. Anyway, what about the soul and the lock? Has Oz the first started to get his old memories back?”

Morgana sighed in disappointment after Feltia [2] asked that. ”Iʼve taken my husband to visit almost all the ancient places in this realm, but he still shows no signs of recovering his memories. Thatʼs why I keep delaying to open the lock on the soul, and I will only open it after his memories are restored.”

”Actually, I have a bad feeling about that soul, so I think your decision to postpone it is correct. Otherwise, something catastrophic will happen in this realm, and it might spread to the human realm or the other two realms.” Feltia [2] then looked into the distance and thought for quite a while, but he didnʼt tell Morgana about his thoughts.

”I will return to my tower now, and I hope you will tell me if you find any clues about that soul.”

”All right, Iʼll let you know straight away if I get any new leads.” After Feltia [2] left, Morgana immediately met her husband, who was talking to Oz the second and Zygoz in another area.

Upon his arrival at the tower, Feltia [2] immediately planted his soul mark into the souls of his partners, including the Amaris Twins and Nadea, even though they were not cultivators like Fyr, Eve, Leora, and Ashreth.

Since there were no problems in the Diyu Realm and his subordinates had completely submitted to him, Feltia [2] decided to bring all his partners to the Netherworld Realm. He brought them to Arbeolaʼs place to increase their demon power and gave them some bloodstones, but he himself didnʼt relax either, and he accompanied them for that.

Cain suddenly reached out to Zhang Fei [4], informing him that the resources he sought were ready. He immediately went to the northern mansion to meet him, but he was surprised to notice that Lu Xin and Yu Xixiuan had already become his partners. Even so, he did not comment on it and followed him to another room, where all the demon resources were gathered.

”Are you satisfied with all this?”

”Yes.” Zhang Fei [4] immediately stored everything in his inventory before handing a bag of bloodstones to Cain. ”They are enough for now, but I still need more resources for my subordinates in another realm, and you can get more bloodstones if you continue to help me gather them.”

”Haha!” Cain laughed as he threw the bag in the air several times. ”Naturally, I will continue to help you, especially since these bloodstones are more useful to me than those resources. However, Iʼm perplexed as to why you didnʼt give them the bloodstones directly, especially considering that doing so would enhance their strength faster.”

Zhang Fei [4] shook his head at Cain. ”The number of my subordinates is quite large, and my supply of bloodstones is not comparable to their numbers, so I have to use other methods to strengthen them.”

”All right then, I will contact you again after I prepare the second batch of resources, and you better bring me more bloodstones.” After that, Zhang Fei [4] immediately left the mansion, and Cain also took the two women with him.

When Zhang Fei [4] arrived at the succubus tower, he immediately went underground to meet Balena, just as he had done in the past month. From her, he gained more information about the Blue Water Realm, which also made their relationship closer. ”Orith and the others havenʼt returned yet, so I canʼt talk to her about you yet.

Anyway, I plan to look for them in the dead forest, so I wonʼt be able to visit you during that time.”

”Thatʼs not a problem for me, especially since Iʼve been cooping up here alone for so long, so Iʼm used to quiet situations.” After they talked for some time, Zhang Fei[4] immediately left the underground, but Balena sighed softly at his departure.

After he implanted his soul mark in the souls of all his partners, Zhang Fei [1] asked them to continue their training using the gravity feature. After all, his partners were different from his wives, and they were more focused on their cultivation and rarely practiced since they entered seclusion. He later met Yan Zhixiu inside the portable mansion.

”Do you really not want to return to the Yin-Yang Pavilion? You are a demon cultivator, so you can use the transformation technique to return to your original form. Moreover, you already know that Shen Xueyi is my partner, and the people there also know about my identity as a demon, so Iʼm sure they wonʼt have a problem with you returning there.”

”No.” Yan Zhixiu rejected Zhang Fei [1]ʼs idea outright. ”During these two months, I have understood more about demons thanks to you, so I now know that I also need demon power to strengthen myself. I have decided not to return to the sect, and I want to return to the Netherworld Realm to increase my demon rank so I can become stronger than before I became a demon.

I know that you will always protect Luanʼer, but she is still my sister, and she is my last remaining family member, so I want to protect her.” (A/N: The time skip is one month, but the flow of time in the training space is two times faster than the outside world.)

Zhang Fei [1] nodded in understanding. ”Since youʼve made that decision, Iʼll send you back to the Netherworld Realm, but I wonʼt send you there right now; you should continue your training with them first.” Once youʼve fully adapted to the level three gravity feature, then Iʼll send you there directly.”

Following this, Zhang Fei [1] escorted Yan Zhixiu out of the portable mansion, where she joined the others for training. He himself decided to leave the training space and return to the Sky Jade Realm, especially the southern region, to take care of some matters and meet someone.

When he arrived at the Wei Clan, Zhang Fei [1] couldnʼt find Yi Na in the clan residence. He was surprised when he heard some maids say that she decided to separate from Wei Jiang about half a month ago.

Zhang Fei [1] then searched for Yi Naʼs location on his map, and he found that she lived not far from the entrance to the Hidden Sea Palace, especially since Wei Luan was a disciple of the sect.

After a few minutes, Zhang Fei [1] arrived at Yi Naʼs new residence, where he found her painting his picture. He immediately moved behind her and hugged her from behind, startling her. ”Sorry, Iʼve neglected you for quite some time, and Iʼve heard about your relationship with Wei Jiang.”

”Do you know that I am so miserable because you ignored me?” Tears began to fall from Yi Naʼs eyes, and her right hand holding the brush was also shaking violently. ”Iʼve been waiting for you for the past two months since our return from the eastern region, but you havenʼt come to see me even once.

I understand that you have no feelings for me and that you used your demon abilities to seduce me, but I am fully aware that it was entirely my own fault. At first, I didnʼt enjoy our relationship because I harbored guilt toward my ex-husband. However, the time we spent together in the eastern region strengthened my attachment to you, and I began to enjoy our time together more and more.

I understand that you dislike it when other men touch your woman, which is why I consistently turned down his requests for sex. Honestly, Iʼve tried to forget you because my daughter doesnʼt want me to be separated from her father, and she tried to help us repair our relationship. Unfortunately, I always felt guilty toward him, so I decided to break up with him two weeks ago.”

Zhang Fei [1] sighed softly, lifted Yi Na to her feet, and immediately turned her to face him, wiping away her tears. ”Youʼre right, I never had feelings for you before that day, but you should know that I also enjoyed my time with you, and my feelings for you started to grow. I know that Iʼve neglected you in the past two months, but Iʼve decided not to neglect you anymore.

Thatʼs why I came here to see you today, and I want you to stay by my side like the others from now on.”

”Do you really have feelings for me now?”

”Release your soul first, and I will give you the answer.” Yi Na was confused by Zhang Fei[1]ʼs request, but she did it anyway. When her soul emerged from her body, he immediately implanted his soul mark into her soul, shocking her. ”Return your soul to your body again.”

After she did that, Yi Na immediately touched her chest and asked Zhang Fei [1]. ”What kind of mark is that? Why did you plant it in my soul?”

”I learned it from a cultivator in another realm, and I only gave my soul mark to my wives and partners.” Zhang Fei [1] then pressed his palm against the back of Yi Naʼs palm. ”Since I implanted it in your soul, you are my partner now. The mark allows me to know the condition and situation of all of you, so I can immediately move to save you if any of you are in danger.”

Zhang Fei [1]ʼs explanation actually made Yi Na even more confused about his mark, especially since she had never learned the soul cultivation path, so she had no knowledge of it.

”I know you are confused about it, but I will start teaching you many things now, especially about the body cultivation path and the soul cultivation path, so you can catch up with them.” Zhang Fei [1] then pulled Yi Na into her residence, where they sat on the floor facing each other, and he patiently explained the two cultivation paths to her.

”Release your soul again, and you just need to follow my guidance to understand it.”

After they released their souls, Zhang Fei [1]ʼs soul immediately held her soul before starting to channel their Yin and Yang Qi into each otherʼs souls, but Yi Na was too quick to channel her Yin Qi into her soul. Even so, it wasnʼt a problem for him, and he showed her the proper way to do it.

Despite her cultivation not reaching a high level, Yi Na had been cultivating for decades, and she gradually followed Zhang Fei [1]ʼs guidance, resulting in a more stable and faster circulation of their Yin and Yang Qi.

Zhang Fei himself decided to give his wives, partners, slaves, and family members a few days to rest. After all, they had been in seclusion for quite some time, and some of them seemed bored with it, so he decided that way.

Zhang Fei then sent all of them back to their respective places in the Sky Jade Realm, and he also brought some of them back to earth, including Zhong Yan, who wanted to check on their company progress. Moreover, they need to replenish stock of goods for their company and shop in both realms.

When they arrived at Zhang Chenʼs house, they saw that Zhang Fei [5] had not stopped doing dual soul cultivation with Wang Xiaoyi and the others.

Zhang Fei then sent the members of the Wang and Ming families back to their respective homes, but he took Zhong Yan to Huang Rongʼs mansion to see her and Yang Luʼer, especially since they were the ones looking after their company, the Sky Jade Company.

As usual, Huang Rong rushed to hug Zhang Fei as soon as they appeared, and she immediately gave him a slow but passionate kiss, especially considering they hadnʼt seen each other in two weeks due to his business in the Sky Jade Realm.

Yang Luʼer was annoyed by her motherʼs childish behavior, but she did not bother them and spoke to Zhong Yan, who explained their situation there. ”Fortunately, I am not a cultivator like you all, or I would have died quickly if I had to deal with all that trouble. So how long are you two going to stay here?”

”Although all of you are not cultivators like us, he plans to take you all to the Sky Jade Realm to look around the realm, and you guys can spend more time with him there.” Yang Luʼer looked delighted to hear that Zhang Fei wanted to take them to the Sky Jade Realm. ”So what about our company?”
