Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 465: Nine Hells Darkland

Meanwhile, Feltia [2] is flying in one of the other demon rulersʼ sub-realms with her female demon partners, and they soon arrive in the vast desert.

”Is the demon beast really hiding here, Fel?” Eve inquired as she surveyed the entire desert area.

”Yes.” Feltia [2] immediately summoned the demon extermination sword out of his body and pointed it at the center of the desert. ”The black scaled earth dragon demon is hiding down there.”

”As far as I remember, the black scaled earth dragon demon rank should be at the marquis rank, and it has very strong scales that are almost impenetrable by all weapons.”

”Ashreth, other weapons may not be able to penetrate its scales, but my sword was created specifically for killing demons.” Feltia [2] immediately channeled his fire and light elements. ”Moreover, the earth demon type is weak against light and fire, so itʼs not a big deal for me.”

Feltia [2] then raised her sword, gripped the hilt with both hands, and extended both elements to form a red and white blade. After he was ready, he immediately swung it down with force, and his attack swiftly split the desert into two.

*Roar*

A loud dragon roar immediately rang in their ears, and they could see the black scaled earth dragon demon furiously glaring at them from below, especially since Feltia [2]ʼs attack just now had injured its back to the point where several of its black scales had broken.

Unlike western dragons, which generally have two wings, the black scaled earth demon dragon is wingless, and its body is also not as big as other dragons.

*Swoosh... Swoosh...*

Dozens of rocks quickly flew towards them, but Feltia [2] stretched his hand forward, and dozens of fireballs immediately flew towards them before colliding with each other, causing several large explosions in the air.

After that, Feltia [2] dove down towards the black scaled earth dragon demon, and the demon extermination sword in her hand continued to glow red and white. She didnʼt want to waste her time with the demon beast, so she also activated her heavenly fox bloodline to suppress it, causing it to press down and crack the area beneath it.

Unlike other demon beasts who were always unable to move under the pressure of Feltia [2]ʼs bloodline, the black scaled earth dragon demon used his willpower to fight back against the pressure as he let out a loud roar.

*Roar*

Once again, dozens of rocks came flying towards Feltia [2], but he swiftly avoided them as he continued to dive down. As soon as the demon beast opened its mouth to swallow him, he immediately used teleportation to move behind its head. He slashed the demon extermination sword at its neck, but the hardness of the scales behind it prevented it from instantly cleaving through.

The black scaled earth dragon demon tried to counterattack Feltia [2] using its tail, but he immediately teleported away before slashing its tail. Unlike the scales on its neck, the scales on its tail are not too hard or thick, and his attack cuts straight through its tail.

*Roar*

As the black scaled earth dragon demon was in pain from having its tail cut off, Feltia [2] immediately moved to the front of its chest after he realized that its scales there were just as thin as those on its tail, and he immediately thrust his sword to its chest. As he expected, his sword managed to penetrate its chest, and he immediately strengthened both elements, engulfing the demon beast.

*Roar*

The black scaled earth dragon demon didnʼt want to die just like that, and it immediately opened its mouth wide to pounce on Feltia [2]. However, he immediately took out his hellfire chains and threw them towards it, which right away coiled and strangled its neck with great force.

Additionally, the flames coming out of them caused the demon beast even more pain, especially since the flames were hotter and stronger than his fire element.

Feltia [2] swiftly pulled her sword out of the black scaled earth dragon demonʼs chest and moved to the back of its neck, and he once again attacked the area he previously attacked with two consecutive attacks. His first attack directly shattered its scale, and his second attack immediately cut its neck, causing a gush of black blood to erupt from the cut.

ʼHmm? Why doesnʼt the system give me a new quest? Could it be that the quests in this realm are finished?ʼ Feltia [2] then grabbed the demon core that emerged from the black scaled earth dragon demonʼs head and immediately stored it, along with the hellfire chains. He also returned the extermination demon sword to his body. ʼMei, open those two hard gift packs.ʼ

[Yes, master.]

[You obtained 1 Bloodthirsty Fang Blade. Grade: Earth]

[You obtained 1 Abyssal Mirror. Grade: Earth]

ʼHmm?ʼ Feltia [2] was a little surprised by the names of the two items.

[Bloodthirsty Fang Blade: A sword forged from the fang of an ancient demon, imbued with a thirst for blood and souls.]

[Abyssal Mirror: A mirror that reflects the darkest fears of anyone who gazes into it, trapping their soul within the mirrorʼs depths.]

Even though he liked the effects of both items, Feltia [2] still felt strange about them, especially since not only were the quests he always received related to demons, but all the rewards he had gotten so far were also related to demons, souls, or the like.

”Can we go back now, Fel?” Leora, the cat demon, inquired as she floated down to Feltia [2]ʼs side.

”Wait a minute.” Feltia [2] then looked up at the sky. ”Donʼt you two want to come down here? Iʼve noticed that you guys have been following us since we left our sub-realm.”

Soon, Oz the first and Morgana appeared in front of them, and the witch demon immediately said to Feltia [2]. ”Honestly, I was curious about your fighting ability, and itʼs actually not bad.

However, your fighting ability is still like a newbie when compared to the cultivators from the upper realms, and you rely too much on your beast bloodline to suppress those demon beasts, so it would be better if you started learning not to use it and rely more on your own strength.

After all, your enemies will not always be beasts or demon beasts, but you will also continue to face many human and demon enemies in the future.”

”Yeah, youʼre right about that.” Feltia [2] nodded in agreement with that. ”Actually, I use my bloodline to fight those beasts and demon beasts because I donʼt want to waste my time, and I also keep honing my fighting abilities to face non-beast enemies.”

Morgana suddenly stretched her hand forward to attack Feltia [2] at a high speed, but to her surprise, her attack only penetrated his illusion. ”Oh? You have such excellent speed, huh? I didnʼt even realize that you had moved away from your spot and created this illusion at the same time.”

”Not only is it good, but itʼs also really fast, and itʼs not my full speed yet.” Feltia[2] replied as he reappeared in his original spot, surprising Morgana. ”I can still increase my speed further in the future, but my current body is still unable to withstand the burden of the training, so I am more focused on my cultivation and my bodyʼs strength for now.”

”I see.” Morgana nodded understandingly at that. ”I think your decision is sound, particularly considering that the more advanced techniques you use, the more cultivation and physical strength you will require. Anyway, if you have the chance, you can go to the Nine Hells Darkland, which is approximately two monthsʼ journey from the Wasteland Realm.

Even though it is only in the middle realms, it has a special place, particularly for forging your body. My demon emperor discovered it by accident, and since then, he has repeatedly sent many demons from my realm to increase their physical strength.”

”Is the Nine Hells Darkland also a demon realm? What kind of place are you referring to?”

”No, that realm isnʼt a demon realm.” Morgana immediately shared her memories of the Nine Hells Darkland with Feltia [2], which shocked him, especially since the situation in that realm was truly terrifying. ”As you can see for yourself, that realm is the worst realm in the middle realm, and you can see corpses of all races wherever you go, so people call it the nine hells.

Anyway, the place Iʼm talking about is the Fiendish Pond, which is located in the southernmost part of the realm. Nobody knows the origins of the pondʼs creation or the source of its demon blood and essence, but both are beneficial for forging the body, particularly for demons like us.

However, you must exercise caution if you visit that place in the future, as the demon souls roaming there harbor intensely negative emotions. If you are influenced by them, then you will become a crazy demon, or you will become a bloodthirsty demon.”

Feltia [2] shuddered at the thought of himself turning into something like that. ”Damn! That realm really does seem to be the worst realm!”

”Haha.” Morgana laughed in response. ”Thatʼs why my demon emperor only sends high-ranking demons to that realm, especially since low-ranking or middle-ranking demons will definitely be affected by those wandering demon souls, so you have to prepare yourself well before going to that realm.”

”Yeah, youʼre right. Moreover, I canʼt move freely in the Wasteland Realm yet, so I wonʼt be going to the Nine Hells Darkland anytime soon, and I will prepare myself first.” Feltia [2] suddenly remembered something and promptly took the black key out of the inventory.

As soon as Feltia [2] did that, a black smoke immediately came out of Oz the firstʼs body and turned into a male demon with his body bound by black chains, plus there was a keyhole in the middle.

Morgana immediately grabbed the black key from her hand and looked at it, as well as the keyhole in the middle of the manʼs figure. ”Husband, Iʼm sure this is the key to unlocking these chains, but I canʼt be sure what will happen to you if I release him. After all, we donʼt have any information about him, especially since you still havenʼt regained your past memories.”

Oz the first continued to gaze at the black key, and he was intrigued by the male figure. However, he didnʼt dare make a decision, especially since he was afraid that he would change if he released him from the chains.

Feltia [2] immediately told them. ”Actually, I got this black key from Tharnon, and he told me that you were the one who gave it to him. Unfortunately, you did not explain to him the purpose of this key, and I even ordered the demons in the tower to search all over this realm to find a place with a keyhole, but it turns out that the keyhole was in your body.”

”How about we go see Tharnon now?”

Oz the first immediately pulled the male figure back into his body. ”Letʼs go; we have to see him now.”

After saying goodbye, they immediately disappeared from that location, and Feltia [2] swiftly brought his female demon partners back to their tower. Even so, she had many questions about the male figure, especially since she could feel a sense of danger from him. ʼI hope my guess is wrong; otherwise, Iʼll have to fight them, and I wonʼt be able to defeat them unless I ask for Feng Yaoʼs help.ʼ

A while later, Oz the first and Morgana had arrived at the Endless Death, and they immediately met Tharnon at the bottom. ”Hey, did my husband really never tell you anything about this key?”

”No.” Tharnon shook his head before explaining. ”Back then, my master handed it to me, but he didnʼt elaborate on it. However, I remember clearly that his expression was really serious at that time, and Iʼve never seen him that serious except when he fought the Throne. Do you have any clue about the key?”

Morgana immediately touched Oz the firstʼs back and forced the manʼs figure out of his body. ”See? This key is exactly the same as this keyhole, so it should be used to open it, but we are still hesitant to open it.”

Tharnon did not immediately respond to Morgana, instead observing the manʼs figure with a serious expression. He felt as though he had seen the man before, but he struggled to recognize him. ”Since this man is inside my masterʼs body, Iʼm sure heʼs the one who chained him.

Thatʼs why it would be best if we donʼt release this man before he regains his past memories, or we might unleash a danger beyond our imagination.”

”I agree with him, wife.” Oz the first immediately pulled the manʼs figure into his body again. ”Anyway, Tharnon wonʼt be able to face the current me, so you better keep this black key now.”

”All right.” Morgana then made a gesture with her hand, and a black cube immediately enclosed the black key. ”This way, this key will be safe, and we will decide whether to release the man or not after you regain your past memories.”

”So are you pregnant now?”

”Did you think Iʼd get pregnant that quickly?” Morgana turned the question around and shook her head. ”We are both demon cultivators, and our cultivation has also surpassed the ten mortal realms, so it is not easy for me to conceive his child. Even so, we will continue to work hard so that I can get pregnant as soon as possible, especially since I canʼt wait to have his child.”

”In that case, you two can return to the floating castle now.”

”Why are you more impatient than us?”

”Hahaha!” Tharnon laughed at that. ”I have been with my master for tens of thousands of years, so it is natural that I canʼt wait to see his descendants, right?”

Morgana nodded to Tharnon. ”All right then, weʼll be back right now.”

After they disappeared, Tharnon curled up on the ground again, but his mouth was muttering something. ʼCould that man be the person I thought? If that was really true, it would be better if they never released him, or these four realms would be completely in chaos.ʼ

After she finished her task, Shang Yaolin immediately went back to her room to clean herself up. After that, she laid down beside Zhang Xiaolong [3] and rubbed his cheeks.

ʼWhat happened to me? Why did I dream of him last night? Furthermore, I had the impression that my dream had lasted for an extended period, during which time I witnessed his transformation into a handsome man.ʼ Shang Yaolin moved her face closer to Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs face and wanted to kiss him, but he suddenly opened his eyes, causing her face to turn bright red with embarrassment.

She immediately laid down beside him and covered her red face with a blanket. ʼUgh! I must be crazy! Heʼs still a child, but I want to kiss him!ʼ

Zhang Xialong [3] smiled faintly but did not say anything about it. ”Big Sis, I want to go to the top of the mountain to cultivate my soul.”

”Eh?” Shang Yaolin immediately opened the blanket. ”Tonight is Senior Sister Yingyueʼs turn to use the place, and she probably wonʼt like it if you disturb her.”

”Senior Sister Yingyue witnessed Aunt Xinxin beating me up for a few hours, so I believe she may not mind if I cultivate there, and you can just take me back if my presence bothers her, Big Sis.”

Shang Yaolin let out a sigh and carried Zhang Xiaolong [3] directly, and she brought him to the top of the mountain peak afterward.

Shang Yingyue, who was cultivating, immediately opened her eyes. ”Why did you bring him here? Donʼt you know that I donʼt like being disturbed when Iʼm cultivating?”
