The Sword God of the Universe

Chapter 324: Chapter 324: The Vice Chancellor Protects Jing Yan Chapter 324: Chapter 324: The Vice Chancellor Protects Jing Yan It was her!

When Jing Yan saw the woman in the white dress, his heart involuntarily jolted uncontrollably.

This was not the first time he had met the woman in the white dress; rather, it was the second.

The first time was in Donglin City, when Jing Yan was being pursued by a Dark Night Gold Medal Killer.

At a critical moment, it was this woman in the white dress who appeared and suddenly struck, killing the Dark Night Assassin and saving him.

Jing Yan held his breath and watched as the woman in the white dress descended from the sky.

At the time, Jing Yan felt that the woman in the white dress did not appear by chance, and now it seemed that she had indeed been paying attention to him all along.

“Vice Chancellor!”

“Greetings to the Vice Chancellor!”

The Envoy Bing Ruo first paid his respects to Fang Ruoyu, and the others also followed suit, greeting her with bows.

A Vice Chancellor?

A flash of light crossed Jing Yan’s eyes, as he had not known that the person who had saved him back in Donglin City was the Vice Chancellor of Dao Yi Academy.

It appeared that this woman in the white dress was named Fang Ruoyu.

In fact, Jing Yan was very puzzled at this moment.

He clearly did not know this Fang Ruoyu, and there should have been no interaction between them.

So why had Fang Ruoyu intervened to save him time and time again?

What was the reason behind it all?

This Vice Chancellor Fang Ruoyu couldn’t possibly be someone the Jing Family had brought in to protect him, Jing Yan; the Jing Family definitely did not have the power to engage such a fearsome expert.

“Bing Ruo, did you not tell them that I said Jing Yan is innocent?” Facing the crowd’s respectful greetings, Fang Ruoyu gave no response and directly addressed Bing Ruo with this question.

“Vice Hall Master, I have conveyed your words,” Bing Ruo replied with a bow.

Fang Ruoyu nodded.

“Ying Youque, since Bing Ruo has conveyed my message to you, why then is your Criminal Punishment Hall still attempting to lay a hand on Jing Yan?” Fang Ruoyu asked Ying Youque.

“Vice Chancellor Fang Ruoyu, our Criminal Punishment Hall has its own rules.

Jing Yan is a student of Dao Yi Academy; whether he is guilty or innocent, it should be for the Criminal Punishment Hall to adjudicate,” Ying Youque replied with a frown, quite forcefully.

“That’s right, Hall Master.

Jing Yan previously killed the High-level Outer Court student Qian Bo, then killed two Criminal Punishment Hall members who were sent to apprehend him, and just now he killed the Inner Court student Lin Yan.

Vice Chancellor, he is not innocent; he is heavily laden with sin.

If the Criminal Punishment Hall does not judge him, wouldn’t that throw Dao Yi Academy into chaos?” Mu Xi’s stance was clearly resolute.

“I don’t care what Jing Yan has done; if I say he is innocent, then he is innocent.

Whether it’s Dao Yi Academy or the Criminal Punishment Hall, neither can convict Jing Yan!” Fang Ruoyu said with a slight upturn of her lips and an indifferent tone.

The tone was nonchalant, but her statement caused a stir among everyone present!

Domineering!

Undeniable!

If she said Jing Yan was innocent, then Jing Yan was innocent.

No one else had the right to lay a hand on Jing Yan, much less convict him.

The Criminal Punishment Hall was completely disregarded.

“Mu Xi, I saw that you were the one who made a move on Jing Yan, right?

Now, apologize to Jing Yan!” Fang Ruoyu’s eyes narrowed slightly as she looked at Mu Xi.

“Apologize?” Mu Xi was stunned.

“Yes, apologize to Jing Yan and let’s consider the matter settled,” Fang Ruoyu nodded.

She meant that Mu Xi should apologize to Jing Yan.

If he apologized, then the matter of him making a move on Jing Yan would be considered resolved.

If Mu Xi did not apologize, it seemed as if the matter was not yet over.

Mu Xi’s face darkened!

He had not anticipated such a demand from Fang Ruoyu.

Apologize to Jing Yan?

He was the Vice Hall Master of the Criminal Punishment Hall and also the Lower Elder of Dao Yi Academy.

With his status, apologize to Jing Yan?

Not to mention he had done no wrong, but even if he had, it was impossible for him to apologize to Jing Yan.

“Heh…” Mu Xi chuckled, “Vice Hall Master, don’t joke around!”

“Mu Xi, listen well, I’m not joking.

I want you to apologize to Jing Yan immediately.

It would be best if you accept my request; if you cannot, I will kill you!” Fang Ruoyu’s indifferent voice spread throughout the venue.

If Mu Xi did not apologize, Fang Ruoyu would kill him.

There was no killing intent in Fang Ruoyu’s voice, yet being a Vice Hall Master and making such a statement was definitely not to be taken lightly.

If Mu Xi did not apologize, it was likely that Fang Ruoyu would indeed take action.

Not only did Jing Yan show a look of astonishment, but Ying Youque, Lin Yan, and others were also surprised by Fang Ruoyu’s stance.

Even the many Dao Yi Academy students watching from a distance were gaping in disbelief at Fang Ruoyu.

Just who was Jing Yan to Fang Ruoyu?

Even a fool could see how protective Fang Ruoyu’s attitude towards Jing Yan was at this juncture.

“Vice Hall Master, I must respectfully decline.

Jing Yan has violated the academy’s regulations; irrespective of his relationship with you, his breach of the regulations is a fact.

The existence of the Criminal Punishment Hall is to rectify students who have breached these regulations.

So even though you wish to shield Jing Yan, I must still apprehend him for trial!” Mu Xi’s voice also completely turned cold.

Fang Ruoyu had not given him any face at all, which also infuriated him.

Had Fang Ruoyu not said those words just now, he definitely would not have insisted on apprehending Jing Yan, as even the Vice Chancellor had personally come forward to protect Jing Yan.

But now the problem was that Fang Ruoyu had shown him far too little respect.

Seeing that Fang Ruoyu did not show him respect, he also decided not to show any to her.

As for Fang Ruoyu’s threat to kill him, heh…

if Fang Ruoyu were to take action, Mu Xi felt that even if he was not as powerful as Fang Ruoyu, Ying Youque would certainly not stand idly by.

As Mu Xi’s words fell, Fang Ruoyu smiled.

The crowd felt Qi Fluctuations rippling around Fang Ruoyu’s graceful body.

“Die!” Fang Ruoyu’s aura condensed, and she uttered a low cry.

A colorful ribbon, imbued with terrifying energy, shot towards Mu Xi.

Fang Ruoyu made her move.

Jing Yan watched as the ribbon in Fang Ruoyu’s hand approached; that Dark Night Assassin had perished under this very ribbon.

Was Fang Ruoyu truly intending to kill Mu Xi?

Jing Yan couldn’t help but entertain this thought.

“Roar!” Mu Xi bellowed in anger.

Fang Ruoyu had attacked him, and of course, he wouldn’t just wait for death.

Primordial Energy surged throughout his body, and he brandished an unusual weapon to counterstrike against Fang Ruoyu.

Fang Ruoyu had joined Dao Yi Academy only a month ago, and Mu Xi and the others actually did not know the extent of her strength.

Even at this moment, Mu Xi did not believe that Fang Ruoyu truly had the power to kill him, so he retaliated without any hesitation as she made her move.

However, in the blink of an eye, Mu Xi’s face turned deathly pale.

He mobilized all his Primordial Energy, deploying both Martial Arts and Secret Techniques, but the pressure bearing down on him showed no signs of diminishing.
