Summoners: One Golden Term per Level

Chapter 87: Chapter 87: Elimination-Based College Entrance Exam

”Students, I’ll repeat it again, anything can happen during the entrance exam. Usually, the final part of the exam involves going to the Abyss Edge. If it’s utterly impossible, you can give up.

Giving up the last practical exercise will only reduce the score, but it won’t mean you can’t enter a university.”

Fang Yuan said.

”Got it.”

”Everyone has their admission ticket, let’s set off.”

Fang Yuan looked at the government’s Teleporter; the exam teleportation was handled by the Wuxia Government. After all, if it was a teleporter hired by the school,

who knows if there would be any insider sabotaging the exam.

The Teleporter injected energy into the array, the teleportation array lit up, and all the students from Shencheng First High School were teleported to the exam site in the Nanyue District.

Nanyue District has sixteen cities, each city has three or four schools, actually quite a lot of people, possibly nearly ten thousand candidates, but these are all Combat Professions.

Support professions and life professions have separate exam sites after the combat exams are completed.

In an era of Abyss invasion, combat is the main theme.

This exam site is extremely vast, even with so many candidates gathered it doesn’t feel crowded, but rather a bit spacious.

In the sky above the exam site, a giant tower floats, Shen Fei couldn’t help but look up, only to find the tower continually extending as he looks up, keeping it always in his line of sight.

”This tower is quite magical.”

Shen Fei glanced around. Maybe it was because he entered holding hands with Su Muyu, so they weren’t separated, while other students from Shencheng First High School were not around.

But they all wore their admission tickets, so being together or not doesn’t matter.

”This is one of Wuxia’s national treasures, Dragon Gate Tower. It’s said to be special equipment created by Wuxia using a lot of Abyssal Materials, Tier Nine, and even Tier Ten Professionals.”

Named after the saying ’fish leaps over the Dragon Gate.’

Su Muyu explained, holding Shen Fei’s hand, ”This is just one of the sub-towers, each district has one. The main tower is at Imperial University, and it’s said to be a perk of Imperial University.

That’s all I know.”

”Oh, interesting. When we get to Imperial University, let’s check out what’s magical about the main tower.”

Shen Fei said casually, when suddenly an untimely voice sounded nearby.

”Haha, going to the main tower. You sound like you’re guaranteed to get into Imperial University.”

Shen Fei frowned slightly but treated it as background noise. Su Muyu did the same; the more you respond to these people, the more enthusiastic they get.

If you ignore them, they feel awkward instead.

The person who just spoke felt awkward seeing Shen Fei and Su Muyu ignoring him. He continued, ”With such a big mouth, you must be from a prestigious school, Qinghe River? Yan University? Or Jiangling.

I’m quite familiar with Master Danqing from Jiangling First High School, Tang Yann. I heard this entrance exam is unusual.

Why not get acquainted, so we can support each other later?”

Shen Fei and Su Muyu continued their discussion as if no one else was present. Tuoba Man saw them ignoring him again and couldn’t help but say coldly, ”I...”

Being from Hai City’s Tuoba Chamber of Commerce, he hadn’t been ignored by a girl like this before?

”Brother Shen?”

At this point, someone waved loudly, Shen Fei looked over and indeed saw an acquaintance, even an annoying one.

”Brother Tang.”

Shen Fei nodded. Although they’d sparred in a friendly exchange match, it wasn’t life or death; there’s no need for enmity.

Tuoba Man saw Tang Yann and was about to greet him, but Tang Yann directly bypassed him, smiling at Shen Fei and Su Muyu: ”You two are really inseparable. Brother Shen, have you heard there’s a change in the entrance exam this time?”

”Yes, the practical stage has changed.”

”Not only that, this time the three stages will be elimination rounds instead of previous assessments. If you don’t meet the target in the first stage, you can’t proceed.

This is also for the safety of the practical stage.”

”Is that so?”

”But... it seems like not much of a problem for Brother Shen. This time, if nothing unexpected happens, I dare not guarantee the national top scorer, at least South China Area or Nanyue District’s top scorer will surely be Brother Shen.”

”You’re too kind.”

”Kind, my ass.” Tang Yann shook his head, ”But maybe it’s a bit challenging for your girlfriend, I heard several major cities in the Imperial Capital have produced many exceptional individuals.

In past years, they all had top-scorer potential. Who knows, they might explode this year.”

”I believe in her.”

Shen Fei smiled, seeing their expressions, Tang Yann felt like he got a mouthful of dog food, pursed his lips, ”I’m here to ask Brother Shen, if we meet during the practical stage, please lend a hand.”

”I recall interference is not allowed!”

”It’s different this time, you remember the exchange match. After all, in the Abyss expedition, you can’t do it alone, you know.”

”Let’s discuss it when the time comes.”

”Just a heads up.” Tang Yann nodded, was about to leave, when Tuoba Man hurriedly said, ”Master Danqing?”

”Who are you?”

”Oh, I’m from Tuoba Chamber of Commerce...”

”Don’t know you.” Tang Yann shook his head and, ignoring Tuoba Man’s expression, left directly, leaving Tuoba Man awkward, his gaze turned to Su Muyu and Shen Fei, but they calmly waited.

Waited for almost half an hour.

A solemn voice suddenly came from the tower.

”Quiet!”

The previously noisy field instantly became silent.

”Now announcing the exam rules, this exam will split into three stages, each stage will be eliminations. Those who are eliminated will be scored based on their performance in each stage.”

”The first stage is various profession assessments, output professions focus on output, defense professions focus on defense, and so on. Specific scoring will take place inside Dragon Gate Tower, those scoring over 60 can proceed to the next stage.”

”The second stage is comprehensive dungeon evaluation, scores will be given based on dungeon difficulty and performance within. Scores need to exceed 600 to advance to the practical stage!”

”The practical stage will take place in ’Abyss of Ten Thousand Insects’, specific assessment methods will only be known to those who’ve entered.”

”Additionally, in the first two stages, only personally worn equipment is allowed, the use of any items including but not limited to potions, buff items is prohibited. Cheating results in an immediate test cancellation and legal consequences!”

”Rules explanation finished, all candidates prepare!, the exam officially begins!”

The tower began to emit blue lights, enveloping individuals in the exam field, separating Shen Fei and Su Muyu. Shen Fei only heard Su Muyu’s last sentence.

”Remember our earlier agreement!”
