Summoners: One Golden Term per Level

Chapter 59: Chapter 59: The Deal

”Finally, we’ve regrouped.”

Tang Yann looked at Bai Qingzhao in the distance and let out a breath, which turned into white mist.

The pressure in this short time was immense, always worrying about encountering Shen Fei. Fortunately, the snowfield wasn’t too small.

”Where’s Wu Yuan?”

Bai Qingzhao raised an eyebrow, looking at the individuals following Tang Yann. They had been planning this since yesterday. Tang Yann, using his professional ability, had prepared Abyssal Creatures in advance to find familiar auras.

As soon as they entered, they quickly began searching for other high school teams.

In a short time, they had already found six high school teams, and with Qinghe First High School, they now had seven teams.

That already occupied half of the teams.

”They’re getting closer. Also, they’ve gathered three teams on their side too,” Tang Yann explained.

Bai Qingzhao suddenly asked, ”Do you think Wu Yuan might consider collaborating with Shen Fei?”

”Hm? Highly unlikely, knowing that before coming here, Shen Fei has humiliated Wu Yuan quite a lot.”

”But to win, Wu Yuan disregarded her dignity, even having Zhou Xun use special means to seal Su Muyu. If Su Muyu weren’t too strong, and with Shen Fei in the background, they might still have a chance at victory.”

”According to Shen Fei, if Wu Yuan made a deal with him, as long as Wu Yuan came second, we wouldn’t make the top three, and Wu Yuan could take second place.”

Tang Yann listened to Bai Qingzhao’s analysis and shook his head: ”No matter what, we can’t foster suspicion now. Even when united, success isn’t guaranteed. If we split over this, winning is impossible.”

”You’re right.”

”If you’re concerned, we can earn some points along the way. I encountered a few places to earn points, and we can increase our score before any eliminations, at least secure a ranking position.”

”Agreed.”

...

”Ahhhh~”

In the sky, Wu Yuan, bound by a vine, felt the cold wind pouring down her throat, letting out a terrified scream, realizing with a glance below that even her pants were slightly wet.

She wet herself.

”Who are you?”

Wu Yuan shouted breathlessly, feeling incredibly unlucky. She had barely entered and was about to earn some points to secure her rank for after they possibly fail to corner Shen Fei.

Suddenly, a figure descended, and before they could react, numerous vines bound all four of them.

Simultaneously, they faced dungeon monsters of over ten levels, which were supposed to be hard to handle.

However, under this figure, the snow transformed into a flood which overwhelmed all the dungeon monsters, and even more surprisingly, these monsters dropped equipment.

Wasn’t it said they would only provide points, not drop equipment?

Could it be this dungeon was also invaded by the Abyss?

Before entering, they knew the Snowfield Dungeon was mainly a place for them to compete. Over time, it would be defined by a circle as a boundary.

The further out they went, the harsher the snowstorm, possibly burying them entirely.

It forced them to move towards the center.

All this was to make teams encounter each other quickly, with most monsters being at levels they could handle.

But why did this woman appear, with power so overwhelming she couldn’t even resist!

The Empress merely glanced down. This was the one who spoke insolently in the arena, though she was in the Summoning Space then, she had already heard from Xiaoxian.

The next moment.

Wu Yuan felt the vines that were originally tight, suddenly unbind her. The sensation of weightlessness surged into her heart.

The feeling of weightlessness pushed her stomach into her throat.

”Ah!!”

She screamed, her hands flailing as she tried to grasp something, but there was only the whistling wind and a rapidly receding view around her.

In that moment, Wu Yuan was separated from the shackles of gravity, all weight disappearing.

”Bang!”

The ground drew nearer, and Wu Yuan’s pupils dilated. Falling at this speed would mean instant disqualification, but the next moment, a vine slithered like a snake, quickly wrapping around her waist.

It forcefully counteracted the free-fall inertia, sharply yanking her upwards.

The sudden upward pull put massive pressure on Wu Yuan’s stomach.

Bleugh~

Her breakfast spilled out, like ’Sweet Dew’ falling to the ground, unsure of which monster would find it a treat.

Vomiting from both directions left even Wu Yuan, a level 15 Prison Blood Demon God, unable to withstand, her face paling.

”This is one of the punishments for your insolence towards my master!”

The Empress said coldly.

The master’s command was to bring them all back; otherwise, this woman would surely experience what it meant to wish for death over life.

”M-Master?”

Wu Yuan’s voice was weak, but fortunately, being of the Warrior Class allowed her, amidst the cold and free-fall, to remain conscious.

Otherwise, a Mage Type reliant on spirit and mana might have already fainted.

Yet she heard the Empress’s words.

Mysteriously, a figure flashed in her mind. She swallowed back some saliva that carried a slight taste, ”Are you talking about Shen Fei?”

”Is my master’s name something you can casually call?”

Wu Yuan heard the Empress’s cold snort but couldn’t respond.

The next moment, the familiar sensation of free-fall returned, the fear of weightlessness deeply etched in her DNA, impossible to grow accustomed to.

Being pulled up once more, Wu Yuan’s face looked as weak as if ninety percent of her vitality had been drained.

”Captain, perhaps we should just give up...”

Nangong Yun looked at Wu Yuan with some pity.

”No...!”

Wu Yuan shook her head. Yan City First High School could not be the first to leave, no matter what!

...

’Bang bang bang!’

Shen Fei was still chewing beef jerky when bodies started falling from the sky, at the forefront of which was Wu Yuan.

”Well, isn’t this a familiar face?”

Shen Fei smiled as he spoke. Wu Yuan’s face was already vacant; the continuous free falls left her mind hazy.

Hearing that unforgettable voice, Wu Yuan’s unfocused pupils converged, seeing Shen Fei, instinctively gritting her teeth, ”Shen Fei!”

”Thinking of going for another round, huh?”

The Empress’s eyes narrowed slightly, making Wu Yuan shiver and swallow the words she was about to curse.

”Seems your alliance appears defeated before even starting.”

”You!”

”What? To the victor goes the spoils. I’m stronger; I’ve done nothing wrong...” Shen Fei shoved all the beef jerky into his mouth, while Su Muyu beside him wiped away the crumbs at Shen Fei’s mouth.

”Let’s make a deal. Even if your plan succeeds, so what? You still won’t get a ranking, aren’t you just working for Qinghe First High School and Jiangling First High School?

If you cooperate with me, I might consider letting you take second place.”
