Summoners: One Golden Term per Level

Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Auctioning the Rankings

Inside the dungeon.

Shen Fei looked at the Empress who had already returned, along with several monsters tied up tight, constantly roaring, growling, struggling to break free from the vines binding them.

But with the Empress taking action, which was comparable to Tier Three magic, these monsters, at most Tier One, couldn’t break free.

”Master.”

The Empress descended from the sky, and Shen Fei pulled his fingers out of Su Muyu’s palm, his gaze falling on the people squatting obediently in the distance, ”Line up according to your school, ranking auction.

I recall the first place in the joint exchange gets one piece of Tier One Epic equipment for the captain and two Lord Level Skill Books, team members get two pieces of Lord Level equipment and one Lord Level Skill Book, plus twenty million cash each.”

”Second place, four people each get one Lord Level equipment and ten million, captain gets an extra Lord Level Skill Book.”

”Third place, four people each get one Lord Level equipment and eight million, captain gets an extra piece of Lord Level equipment.”

Upon hearing this, Shen Fei couldn’t help but feel impressed, but he also heard that it’s provided by sixteen schools together, especially that Epic level equipment.

This is merely an exchange competition, and while Shen Fei does have Epic level equipment, that’s more due to favorable timing and circumstances; an Epic piece on the market can still stir up a storm.

”I want the second place! I’ll bid fifty million.”

Wuu Yuan spoke without hesitation, this second place is not just a reward, but also glory for Yan City First High School.

Wuu Yuan’s words instantly extinguished certain plans of some school members, realizing suddenly that these schools have a lot of resources.

Whether it’s the students they can cultivate, even buying ranks now comes with more resources.

Actually, only three or four schools ended up bidding in the end.

”I want the third place, thirty million then.”

Tang Yann just finished speaking, Shen Fei shook his head, ”Jiangling First High School can only give up competing or settle for the second place.”

”Why?”

”You take the third place, the total score will still be second. My auction ensures the top three overall scores, not the top three team scores.” Shen Fei said calmly, ”Otherwise, whoever bought the second place would surely lose out.

My auction is fair and transparent.”

Wuu Yuan squinted slightly, only then remembering the individual competition of Tang Yann’s school is already third, if the team takes third as well, the total score would reach second place.

”What’s so fair about this...”

Tang Yann just started to refute, then heard a cold snort, ”If my master says something, you just listen.”

The Empress’ phoenix eyes were cold and fierce, the icy tone made Tang Yann shiver, forcing him to nod obediently, ”Then I’ll bid sixty million.”

Even though he’s the only Venerable, he was easily dealt with by this woman; the Summoner Shen Fei is too absurd.

A single Summoned Beast equates to a unique profession.

Is the Summoner’s potential really so high?

”Seventy million.” Wuu Yuan hesitated for a moment, then continued speaking.

”Eighty million, Miss Wuu. You take the third place directly, let me have the second place, isn’t that better? Continuing to fight on will benefit no one.

After all, Bai Qingzhao isn’t here anymore.” Tang Yann rubbed his temples, wondering why Wuu Yuan couldn’t see the point.

Wuu Yuan’s eyes flickered, it seemed logical.

The third place in the team competition scores higher than second place in the individual competition.

This is why the competition arranged both individual and team events. Essentially, this competition values team coordination, facing monsters in the dungeon and opponents.

How to ensure self-preservation while scoring higher.

The individual competition is a stage for each student to showcase themselves, letting the talented students of each school shine, but the team competition is key, once schools understood the exchange competition’s rules.

Nearly all acted as a team of four, whether clearing dungeons or leveling up.

It was a way to foster some rapport.

Only Shen Fei’s team fought solo, but it didn’t matter, Shen Fei ended the team competition with absolute strength.

The rapport practiced over half a month proved useless.

Of course, this also shows the essence of this exchange competition focused more on team play.

Shen Fei didn’t argue, frankly Bai Qingzhao’s withdrawal was unexpected, his plan was to have Wuu Yuan, Bai Qingzhao, and Tang Yann compete for the second and third places.

”Bai Qingzhao is quite pure.”

Su Muyu said with a smile, ”I heard from the teacher, Bai Qingzhao entering Imperial University isn’t hard, and a Venerable seems to have already taken an interest in her, just waiting for her admission.”

”Indeed. Swordsmen tend to have pure thoughts.”

Shen Fei nodded, similar to Stabbing Immortal, though she is an Assassin, her weapon is a short sword.

She is also a Swordsman, her preference is simple, loving milk tea and hiding in the Void.

Wuu Yuan hesitated before nodding, ”Alright.”

Tang Yann smiled, Jiangling First High School finally outdid Qinghe First High School, although he and Bai Qingzhao got along well, there still are differences among the schools.

Although Shencheng First High School took the lead this time, the second place is worth mentioning, as for buying ranks, what’s wrong with that?

Doesn’t it show that our Jiangling First High School is rich in resources?

”Then I’ll bid thirty million, for third place.”

Wuu Yuan gave up second place, immediately vying for third, thinking it was within reach, when suddenly someone announced loudly: ”Hang City First High School, thirty-one million.”

”Su City First High School, thirty-two million!”

”Lu City First High School, thirty-five million!”

...

Unexpectedly for Wuu Yuan, now captains from various schools began raising hands, leaving Wuu Yuan astonished.

Wait, just now you didn’t raise your hands for second place, why now for third are you all raising hands eagerly?

”Why didn’t you raise your hands earlier?”

”Because we thought getting second place wasn’t really possible, now as long as we get third place, that’s different, right?”

Liang Shuang laughed.

Without Bai Qingzhao, it was an opportunity for them.

And when it comes to resources, third place is still worth fighting for; even if not won, making Yan City First High School spend extra isn’t a loss.

The continuous bidding drove the price to forty-five million quickly.

People started bidding less at this point.

After all, the price was nearing the prize value, unless someone sought honor, there was no need to continue.

Yet Wuu Yuan kept raising the bid, forty-five million was her offer.

Yan City First High School really needed this honor.

”We admit defeat. Not enough funds.”

Originally in the race, Hang City First High School also backed out, Shen Fei nodded, ”Just as points rankings are announced, estimations of the scores.

The rest can choose to exit voluntarily or be killed by me, anyhow if everyone dies at once, it boils down to who was lucky enough to earn some extra points beforehand.”

Everyone fell silent, was that even a human phrase?

All dying at once, relying on previous luck to earn some points... really.
