The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 692: A Beach Day for the Avatars Part 3

”...Almighty Pandora, I have a question,” I ask the Almighty Pandora while the other Pandoras are having fun with that volleyball game. The sphere of light that is apparently the Almighty Pandora approaches me.

”[Speak, Pandora of Mikael,]” she just agrees as I glance at her briefly before finishing a piece of meat.

”Don’t you think it’s completely absurd that I’m called Pandora M or Pandora of Mikael? I hate it, you know? It’s like you’re comparing me to those stupid whores, Yandere Pandora, Tiny Pandora, and Monster Pandora,” I say, like a criticism.

”[I’d say it’s curious you feel that way. Do you think you’re the same as those three mental projections? You’re certainly not like them,]” Almighty Pandora says with an amused tone.

”[Besides, you say that, but you’re calling me Almighty Pandora... still, I understand your side, of course I do. Looking like those three can sound problematic, but it’s more about curiosity, isn’t it? You can ask. Don’t be afraid of me. There isn’t a single way you could offend me.]”

”...Fine, fine, dammit... I’m curious about what they were... you’re almighty, right? Why did Yandere Pandora, Tiny, and Monster exist inside our head in the past? I never really got to know,” I admit that’s why I brought up this whole subject of hating being called Pandora M.

”[...The answer is different from everything any of you deduced in the past. Yandere Pandora, Tiny, and Monster were actually complex cognitive flaws.]”

”Complex cognitive flaws?”

”[Yes. As everyone here knows, body and soul need compatibility, or things happen like what occurred with Evangeline and her split personality. It’s not an issue you can just ignore when you’re born into the body of another species.]”

”[This flaw also happened to us. Our soul wasn’t truly compatible with our body, since it was a human soul in a Tenebris Abyssus body. However, our hatred, thirst for vengeance, and complete lack of self-preservation made us ignore everything that wasn’t our revenge.]”

”[Just like the fact that we were weak, almost without magic, and a simple soul, it made the Tenebris Abyssus body consume a large part of our human existence. That’s also the reason why, from birth, we killed without any form of mercy or prior morals from another life.]”

”[That’s what relativized the problem and pushed it to the background, but the three in question always existed since we were born. They were just very weak because we were adjusting to our new body, and as time passed, they gained more power.]”

”So they were erasing us?!”

”[Not necessarily. They were still part of us, but rather, they were parts of the body and the soul. Tiny Pandora was ours — she emerged as a flaw from our soul being incompatible with the body.]”

”[Monster Pandora and Yandere Pandora, on the other hand, both emerged from flaws of the body, and that’s why their attitude was very different from Tiny Pandora’s. However, it’s a fact they were growing and consuming space.]”

”[Besides, Yandere Pandora had already noticed this. That’s why she was so actively trying to do things she shouldn’t, and had plans to replace us while keeping our mind in the sea of consciousness.]”

”So we were schizophrenic?”

”[Wrong choice of words. It wasn’t a disease in our brain. It’s more like a connection failure between body and soul, mainly because our body was quite autonomous even without a soul.]”

”[That autonomy, combined with our human soul that wasn’t very strong, generated that incorrect mixture. But as incredible beings, we managed to overcome it by devouring those flaws.]”

”Okay, okay, okay. I didn’t really understand it well, but whatever. Those bitches are already gone, so it doesn’t matter now.”

”[They’re not gone. More precisely, they were absorbed by us. Furthermore, our more monstrous attitude after devouring them is a direct consequence of us all having become one.]”

”[Besides, you avatars are completely different from them. You’re all still me.]”

”Alright, enough of this subject. I have more questions... what happened to the souls of the goddess of elves, nature, and dragons?” I question something else I’m also interested in, as I sit in a chair with a plate of raw and rare meat along with a bottle of blood.

”[Mommy destroyed the soul of the goddess of elves and nature, while Azraelith destroyed the soul of the dragon goddess. So only Elysia’s soul remained, which was harder to destroy, but I handled it my own way.]”

”Mommy, huh... how did Mommy’s fight go?” I ask this question while putting a piece of meat soaked in blood into my mouth.

”[It was simple. Mommy abandoned any and all attempts at defense and went on the attack. It’s just that Mommy was very resilient, so she won. Besides, she seemed to have a special hatred... and she had an attitude that makes it clear we are mother and daughter.]”

”Oh? And what did she do?”

”[...Let’s just say she taught the Nature Goddess despair and what it’s like to be a weak woman instead of a protected goddess.]”

”...Okay... alright, alright... so, Almighty Pandora, where do you live nowadays?! I live with Mikael traveling around. He’s great, even though he still hasn’t gotten me pregnant!! Also, he’s been kind of soft lately — like, he doesn’t like seriously hurting me in duels anymore!!”

”[I’ve been living with the Primordial Goddess. Since she’s also almighty, it seemed fitting. Besides, we have interesting philosophical conversations, and on top of that, she even gave me her first time.]”

”...” I hear the sound of the volleyball hitting the ground as all of us stare at the Almighty Pandora who fucked our grandmother.

”Oriane really accepted that!?” I question, dumbfounded.

”[Almighty beings feel nothing. Obviously that applies to her as well, so we experimented to see what it would be like. Please be more proactive in deducing things. I’ve said more than three times that we feel nothing, so something like this doesn’t really matter.]”

”...Eh... it’s just that she’s, like, the creator of the universe!! Dropping something like that on a beach day is an insane revelation.”

”[All of you should stop clashing and enjoy the beach. If you want to compete, how about we play a game of watermelon splitting?]” Almighty Pandora proposes as an immense pile of watermelons appears beside us, and she completely changes the subject out of nowhere.

”Watermelon splitting?”

”[A beach game, but let’s turn it into something befitting our existences. So, let’s impose rules on a very fun game.]” All of us look at the watermelons and decide to accept. It might be fun.

”Which of you won the volleyball game?” I ask the Pandora who has an irritated expression.

”Pandora G scored most of the points, and Pandora Z scored the least, while Pandora D and I tied,” she says with disdain toward Pandora D, who puffs out her chest and mutters a curse.
