The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 122: Invasion in the dragon village

”Your Majesty, all the soldiers are ready and awaiting your command,” Thalor informs us as we stand before the magical teleportation circle.

’Zephyra...I will finally make her mine.’ According to the contract, Zephyra is now my slave, and I will make sure to show her exactly where she stands.

”Elena, did you get the accessories I requested from Kaelith’s room?” I ask Elena before entering the magic circle.

”Yes, Pandora, they’re all in your room.” I realize that teleporting items over long distances through the shadows is easier than teleporting living things, so I know I can grab those things anytime to spice up the fun.

”Excellent.” I enter the magic circle and suddenly find myself in a slightly mountainous area with an uncomfortable path.

”Attack,” I say to a nearby soldier, and soon a warning is issued to all the soldiers it has begun.

And of course, while the soldiers outside create a siege, the 500 soldiers who were previously guarding these dragons will now start killing them, as the artifact prevents the spread of sound to certain areas.

In this case, the chief’s house cannot hear any sound coming from the outside. I quickly create wings with the shadow and start flying, of course, some smart ones will try to flee by flying, which is why the archers and mages will take care of that.

Not to mention that Freya won’t let anyone escape. I quickly enter the village, crossing the barrier that the demons had made to protect them, which is now more like a cage that will be their tomb.

I land on the ground and raise my large axe, the sound of screams echoing like music to my ears. Soon, a dragon with a halberd tries to attack me.

”!!! Y-You, WHY ARE YOU ATTACKING US?” He pauses for a moment as he looks at my appearance.

”Why? Because you didn’t fulfill your part, I’m just punishing you as stated in the contract. When you’re in the afterlife, blame Zephyra’s foolishness,” I strike him with the axe. He tries to block, but the blade, reinforced with Violet’s power, easily cuts through his weapon and armor, splitting him in two.

I see a woman running and attack with a Zornhau, a powerful diagonal blow that kills her instantly.

’This seems too easy... they’re so weak...’ Soon, I see 5 soldiers surrounding me while two archers in the distance take aim.

”LET’S ALL ATTACK TOGETHER, SHE WON’T BE ABLE TO DEFEND HERSELF!”

’A good moment to test my swordsmanship.’ Soon the 5 soldiers rush to attack me. I throw my axe at the two archers, causing significant damage to their torsos.

[Essence of Creation]

I use the Essence of Creation to create a Katana, then I use the [Crescent Moon Cut], the first form of spatial swordsmanship.

First Form = Crescent Moon Cut - Creates a spinning cut that forms a perfect circle. The space within the circle is distorted and then shattered.

I take a slightly crouched stance, holding the Katana as if it had a sheath, with my left foot slightly back. In an instant, as the 5 are close, I spin my body in a perfect circle while cutting.

The 5 soldiers freeze in place with wide eyes, and then their torsos fall, perfectly separated from the rest of their bodies, followed by their waists falling to the ground.

I notice how the space is shattered at the point where the blade passed.

’Difficult...’ It was very difficult to train to perfect this, and it’s still not perfect. If it were perfect, they wouldn’t have even realized they were cut.

I lack a better understanding of the space element for my swordsmanship to be perfect.

And I didn’t even have the opportunity to test my martial art. It’s called [Fist of Life and Death], a martial art that steals the mana and vitality of the target with each blow, using what was stolen to restore my own power.

However, the opportunities to use it are not that good. I wanted to use it in the competition, but I didn’t find a good opportunity for it.

”Violet, return.” Soon, the axe I threw comes flying back into my hand. Violet can control the weapon to a certain extent, though she doesn’t do it because it would still interfere with me, but it is useful in case I end up throwing it.

”You’re someone with no tact at all, getting rid of me to use a weak Katana,” Violet says, irritated.

”Jealous?” My swordsmanship couldn’t be used in conjunction with an axe, so there’s not much I can do about that.

”HUH, AS IF I’D BE JEALOUS OF YOU USING ANOTHER WEAPON,” She speaks with barely contained arrogance as I walk in search of more victims.

Soon, I find a couple.

”P-Please, spare my wife.”

’Blah, blah, blah, this people are so repetitive.’

”Why should I? If we were in opposite situations, you wouldn’t spare me. In fact, it makes me want to kill you even more to hear you say that.” That’s a fact in this cruel world. If I’m in a situation of death one day, I’ll never beg. I know that doesn’t work.

If the day comes when the only choices are to plead for my life or die, then I will choose to turn my body into a mana bomb and explode, taking everything around me with me.

’My dress really didn’t get dirty... but I’m not liking the result.’ Very little blood, I see several decapitated bodies in the streets, but the amount of blood is so little.

”HEY, FREYA, COME HERE NOW!” I yell for Freya, who is somewhere. She soon appears.

”I-Is there a problem, Your Majesty?” She speaks hesitantly when she sees me irritated.

”YES, I HAVE A FUCKING PROBLEM, THERE’S TOO LITTLE BLOOD,” I say, irritated, and I have reasons to be angry. Everything has to be perfect. How can I make a big impact on Zephyra with such a simple scene?

There are just a few corpses and blood staining the streets, it’s not even close to being satisfactory.

”Understood, Your Majesty... Hmm.” Freya seems to think for a moment.

”Could you describe how you want the scene?” She asks after a few seconds.

”Blood... so much blood that the ground is completely red, to the point where you step and feel the liquid a little above the sole of your shoe, so much blood that it will look like a small lake.”

”Like the surface was completely blood, as if there had been a storm and the ground was flooded... but with blood.” After describing it, I realize how unrealistic my request is.

Even if it’s possible to do this if I kill thousands, this village doesn’t have that many.

”I can solve this with blood magic... but is it okay if I use magic?”

”How does it work?” I ask to make sure.

”This is a magic I learned from the queen of the vampires. It’s called [Winter Feast]. This magic causes the ambient blood to multiply rapidly. The more blood in the environment, the more blood appears after using the magic.”

”That will do. Use that after we’ve killed everyone, and also give me the location of someone entertaining.”

”Okay, as you wish, Your Majesty. If you walk straight from here, you’ll find an opponent that the common soldiers are having difficulty with. I’ll go back up there, if you’ll excuse me.” I nod, and she disappears.

I follow the instruction and soon find a dragon-man. His wings are quite large, and his scales are a natural armor.

Dragons in general can hide and then show their draconic parts, and the more draconic characteristics they show, the stronger they are.

’Zephyra is not capable of showing much, as far as I know... ’ which means she is weak.

”Oh, so it’s you, the bitch responsible for the attack on our village,” the man says as he pulls his spear from the body of one of my soldiers.

”Maybe... I don’t think that matters to a dead man,” I say to him as I raise my axe, ready to fight.

”Too arrogant for a snotty brat,” he says as he advances directly.

’He wants to compete in raw strength with me? Why?’ I swing my axe as he swings his spear, the visual comparison would be like a wall hitting a knife.

Surprisingly, his spear doesn’t break, although he is pushed back by my blow.

’That spear is good.’

”You’re not bad,” we both say at the same time as we advance for another direct clash. This time I strike the axe down from above, and he blocks with the spear’s shaft.

The impact sinks him slightly into the ground as the ground around us cracks.

He quickly moves to the side while dropping the spear, the weight of the unfinished blow sending the axe straight to the ground. He takes advantage of this to throw several daggers at me.

However, shadow wolves appear and block the daggers, while my tail blocks the ones that got past the wolves.

”Tsk,” he clicks his tongue as he retrieves the spear and takes distance.

”For someone who is the Demon King, you seem a bit... !!!” He quickly jumps to the side as he is nearly split in two after I throw the axe with all my might.

I see the axe cutting through several houses and continuing, everything in its path is cut as it passed the sound barrier, making the windows along the way explode.

I take advantage of his distraction to quickly close the distance and give him a strong punch to the stomach.

”YOU BITCH, I’LL... !!!” He quickly loses his arm as he narrowly avoids being killed. The axe I threw came back thanks to Violet, who is the axe at the moment. I hold the handle as I make a diagonal cut, taking advantage of the axe’s speed to increase the power.

He jumps back while holding the stump where his arm used to be, blood dripping on the ground.

”Good job, Violet,” I murmur softly, praising Violet.

”Uh-huh, I’m much better than a Katana,” she says proudly.

”What were you saying again? You haven’t even scratched me,” I say to this guy.

”[Iron Wall], [Vigor Boost], [Muscle Expansion], [Strength Increase]” He uses 4 buff spells, it seems.

His body now looks like a wall, he’s gotten much bigger. He advances while raising his arm in a motion to crush me.

However, instead of dodging, I’ll show him the very insignificance of his existence. I let go of the axe and use only my tail to try and block.

When the blow falls on me, I hold the fist with my tail, the ground around us cracking completely as dust is raised.

I blocked it, though it hurt a bit. But in raw strength, I’ve shown that my little body cannot be underestimated, and that was his mistake.

”I’m bored again,” I say as I enter the shadows and move a little away. He has no technique, just pure brute force. In the beginning, I was also just brute force, but that’s because I had just been born. I quickly sought techniques instead of just pure power.

”Weak, you’re too weak.” I didn’t even use mana to strengthen myself.

”I’m not in the mood to play with you anymore, I’ll go look for something else,” I say as I begin to use my ability.

[Chaotic Madness]

I use this ability that I’ve never used before, and soon he writhes and screams, putting his remaining hand on his head as if in great pain.

”Here’s the deal, brute. Kill all the dragons you find, and after 20 minutes, commit suicide by ripping out your own throat,” I say with an innocent smile as I grab my axe and start looking for someone else to entertain me.
