Chapter 490: The limitations of manual the Path of the Beast Tamer

”Do I understand correctly that you plan to use your Guild to distribute a guide on the Path of the Beast Tamer in your world?” Milica asked the couple when they talked about their immediate goals.

”Yes, there’s less than a month left before the third calamity, and during that time, we want to recruit the first group of awakened and mortals to cultivate Beast Tamers using the first three volumes of the Manual and Soul Crystals,” Idan replied.

Idan then explained that in their world, mortals could not improve yet, even with Manual on the Path of Mastery, and that they needed external power to do so.

”But I’m sure that mortals can still cultivate along the Path of the Beast Tamer using soul crystals,” Idan suggested.

”Soul crystals that only you can get at the moment,” Milica added, hinting that in this way the couple had the right to decide who should improve and who should not.

However, this only concerned the world of Idan and Arabel. There were no such restrictions in Limbo and Junonia. If the manual had spread there, then the creatures could have cultivated this path without these soul crystals.

”Yes, that’s right,” Idan nodded. ”Until you, Master, succeed and learn how to make these crystals.”

”It’s only a matter of time,” Milica said confidently.

”We assume that after the third calamity, when our world reaches the middle stage of development, the restrictions on mortal cultivation will be lifted,” Idan added.

Everyone nodded, agreeing with his words.

”Even if the restrictions are lifted, the crystals will still be desired,” Sierra said. ”We have already seen from our own experience how quickly they accelerate the process of saturation of the Beast Soul and their formation.”

”Oh, so you’ve already achieved success and formed your second Beast Souls?” asked Arabel, catching the meaning of Sierra’s words.

”Of course, with the Soul Crystals you left behind, we easily saturated and formed our second Beast Souls,” Sierra confirmed.

Arabel looked at Milica and Lucinda, and they nodded, confirming that they too had succeeded.

Eventually, Idan and Arabel turned their gaze to Geminia, and she shook her head with a smile.

”What? Geminia, did you fail?” Arabel asked, clearly puzzled by this turn of events.

”Yes, I failed,” Geminia replied. ”But even so, the soul crystal that you provided turned out to be quite useful, and I can’t return it.”

”There’s no need to return anything,” — Arabel said, waving her hand. ”If you need it, we can provide you with more of these crystals.”

”But why? Can’t everyone cultivate this path?” Idan asked.

”Unfortunately, that’s the case,” Geminia replied, and then added: ”But you don’t have to worry. The people from your world are undoubtedly capable of this.”

”As you must know, I am different from all of you,” Geminia continued. ”What you see in front of you is not my true form, but only the appearance that I have been accustomed to wearing throughout my long life.”

By this time, Milica, Sierra, and Esma had already begun to understand what Geminia was getting at, and the limitations of manual the Path of the Beast Tamer.

”I’m not like you. I was born a beast and I remain one. And, as I understand it, beasts cannot cultivate along the Path of a Beast Tamer,” Geminia admitted.

There was silence in the kitchen of the two-story house.

”A beast? Is she an intelligent beast?” — Hailey, Irene and Arslan were surprised.

Idan and Arabel, on the other hand, were not so impressed by Geminia’s vocation that she turned out to be a Beast. Geminia was a special being to the two of them, and recognizing her bestial nature didn’t do much to change their attitude and respect for her.

”Although I wasn’t successful, the manual itself helped me understand some aspects, so I wouldn’t mind looking at the rest of the volumes,” Geminia expressed her wish.

”Well, if it’s useful to you, then why not? We don’t mind,” Idan replied, and the others didn’t mind either.

”By the way, I was just about to give this to you,” Geminia said, taking out a neatly folded stack of exotic flowers.

”Oh! Is that what I think it is?” asked Idan in surprise.

”Yes, these are the Beast Soul Flowers,” Geminia nodded. ”I took all the seeds you left behind and decided to check how they are extracted. I used all 100 seeds in the process.”

”There are only 90 flowers here,” she said, slightly embarrassed.

”Out of curiosity, I tried to eat one flower and found that it was no less useful than the Soul Crystal. To make sure of this, I ate another one after the first one, and then another and another, and did not notice how 10 flowers disappeared,” she added, blushing slightly.

Sierra and the other women couldn’t help but laugh at Geminia’s admission.

”I’m really surprised,” Idan said sincerely. ”I’m surprised that you decided to take on this case on your own, and even killed a hundred animals on your territory.”

”It’s not that big of a problem,” Geminia said. ”Due to the influence of the energy of Madness, almost all the low-rank beasts in this forest behave a little strangely: they become insane and aggressive, and they multiply very quickly. I have to monitor their population from time to time.”

”Therefore, a hundred beasts are not much when you consider the entire forest as a whole.”

”Don’t worry about the ten flowers, consider it a thank you for your service,” Idan said with a smile, taking the flowers.

”I also have the corpses of the beasts, if you need them, I can give them to you later,” Geminia added.

”Really? If you don’t need them, I’ll gladly take them,” Idan replied, and Arabel, who was sitting next to him, nodded in agreement.

They could sell some of the corpses to the System, and keep others for cooking.

”In the near future, I will try to take into account all your contributions and convert them into SP points so that you can use them to purchase various goods,” Idan said, and all the women agreed with his words.

”Geminia, I have a favor to ask of you,” Arabel said, glancing in the direction of Irene and Arslan.

”Let me guess. Is this related to the contract?” Geminia asked with a smile, as if she could read Arabel’s mind just by looking at her.

Arabel nodded.

”Since Dan and I have regained the ability to help others cross the boundaries of worlds, we have had the opportunity to take my brother, Idan’s sister and some other people to Limbo,” Arabel began. ”I would like to ask you to allow those we trust to try to form a contract with the Perfect Doppelgangers.”

After hearing about the ”Perfect Doppelgangers,” Irene and Arslan looked at Geminia with interest. Only Hailey was puzzled, not understanding what was being said.

Geminia did not immediately give an answer.

She looked at Irene, Arslan, and Hailey.

”Okay, I’ll give these three a chance. If they attract someone’s attention and can sign a contract, I don’t mind,” Geminia said. ”However, those whom you send later, I will check personally. I will decide for myself whether they are worthy of signing a contract with my descendants or not.”
