Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!

Chapter 462: Preliminary agreement and suspicion.

Lucian and Aurel didn’t like Idan’s words and his threat.

However, at the same time, they were both acutely aware of the power coming from Idan. This made them doubt their ability to stand up to him.

Before the situation got out of hand, Lucian and Aurel received a message. Their faces first expressed surprise and then reluctance.

But an order is an order.

Lucian lowered his head.

“I apologize for our thoughtless words,” he said, bowing his head in front of Idan. “I also apologize for the actions of our people.”

“We are ready to compensate your guild for the attack on its members, as well as to compensate all the awakened who were present that day,” Lucian said, surprising those present on the side of Idan and Arabel. Everyone started to look at each other.

“In addition, we are open to negotiations on the release of our people captured by you,” Lucian added.

Idan frowned slightly, his mind quickly analyzing what he had heard.

He noticed how Lucian and Aurel’s expressions suddenly changed, and then Lucian apologized.

“Perhaps he received an order from Irina?”  Idan suggested. “It probably is.”

“So they don’t want an open conflict, but rather seek negotiations? But why? Did killing Erza and the Guardian of Light scare them so much, or do they have another plan?” — these questions quickly replaced each other in Idan mind.

Idan understood that it was not worth coming into conflict with these creatures yet, not knowing their true intentions.

He relaxed a bit, and the atmosphere around him became calmer.

“We are ready to offer your Guild a choice of two Rank 5 artifacts as compensation,” Lucian continued.

At the mention of the Rank 5 artifact, everyone presents except Idan and Arabel widened their eyes in surprise. Then they looked at Idan and Arabel with envy.

“In addition, we want to conclude a truce by formalizing a formal agreement between us and your Guild Kingdom,” Lucian added.

“As for the rest, we are ready to provide the Guild Leaders who were present that day with a choice of one Rank 4 artifact, and all other awakened ones with Rank 3 artifacts.”

“And also, in addition to artifacts, our side is ready to help people close to them, ordinary mortals, break through to the first rank, thereby prolonging their lives,” Lucian’s words confirmed the guesses of the Guild Leaders that outsiders have a way to help ordinary mortals cultivate.

While the others were startled by Lucian’s unexpected suggestions, Idan began to feel a growing sense of unease.

“Something’s wrong,” he mused. “There must be something hidden behind these actions.”

No matter how hard Idan tried, he had too little information to be completely clear.

However, one thing was obvious: outsiders, namely Beings of Light, did not want conflicts.

“Either they’re afraid of us, or they’re waiting for something, and they don’t want any problems until then,” Idan concluded.

Everything Lucian offered as compensation for Idan and Arabel was of little value. After looting the treasures of the Beings of Darkness, they had many artifacts, and they sold most of them to the System for System Points.

In addition, the artifacts belonging to these creatures were too highly specialized and related to the elements of darkness and light. If Idan and Arabel ever needed an artifact, they could always use the “Trade” function and find the perfect option for themselves. All they needed were System Points.

However, unlike these two, the artifacts were valuable to the others.

Yes, they could receive them for completing tasks of their Systems, but such tasks were rarely given. In addition, the artifacts provided by their System usually did not exceed their own rank.

Therefore, the rank 4 artifact offered by Lucian was highly coveted by everyone.

“If you have any requirements, we are ready to consider them. If they suit us, we are ready to satisfy them,” Lucian said.

“Yes, I have a few requirements,” Idan replied immediately.

“First, I demand that the Association officially recognize our Kingdom Guild and register it,” he stated his first demand.

“Secondly, we want to have unlimited access to all the resources of the Association’s exchange centers,” Idan continued. “Of course, it’s not free. We are ready for purchases and exchanges for the resources we need.”

“Thirdly, we insist that neither the Association, nor the Federation, nor you outsiders, persecute the loved ones of Idan Fein and Arabel Morgan,” Idan said. “Idan and Arabel are members of our Guild, and if something happens to their loved ones, our Guild will be ready for revenge and will not stop until it finds and punishes all those responsible.”

“As for the prisoners, we are ready to return Aliya in exchange for another Rank 5 artifact,” Idan said.

“Five hundred System points is a considerable sum,” he thought, estimating Aliya’s life at only 500 points.

Aliya wasn’t that important to them. She possessed a platinum rank, and her corpse would be worth even less. As for the information, as Rachel and the others said, they had mental protection.

Idan suspected that there would be tools and ways to circumvent these protections in their System, especially in the “Trade” function. However, he decided not to escalate relations with these outsiders.

“As for the rest of the prisoners, you will need to negotiate with the leaders of the other guilds. We have nothing to do with this,” Idan added.

“No, Mr. Ignis, that won’t do,” Lucian replied, shaking his head. “We can only offer a fourth-rank artifact for Aliya’s release.”

“Hmm,” Arabel snorted with slight disdain. Turning to Aliyah, she added: “You’ve heard that your life is only worth a fourth-rank artifact.”

Aliya, lowering her eyes, began to tremble. No one knew what exactly caused this reaction or what feelings she was experiencing right now.

“Okay,” Idan agreed, not trying to bargain.

“We agree with all the requirements except the third one,” Lucian replied. “We are not ready to take responsibility for the actions of people who are not members of the Awakened Association and who do not belong to our race.”

“Okay, then I demand that the Association and your race not harass the close members of our Guild,” Idan corrected.

“We agree with this requirement,” Lucian concluded.

“We would also like to point out, Mr. Ignis, that before declaring a truce, we would like to put forward our demands to your guild. However, not now,” Lucian added at the end, and Idan nodded in agreement.

All the demands that Idan had made related to compensation for the actions of the Beings of Light against two members of their Guild.

The truce that the Beings of Light were talking about between them and the Kingdom Guild has yet to be discussed, but not at the moment.

The rest of the meeting was devoted to discussing the release of the two captives and the demand to hand over three creatures belonging to the Creatures of Darkness.

Irene and her allies agreed to return the two captives in exchange for additional artifacts, but resolutely refused to hand over the creatures of Darkness.

No matter how hard Lucian tried, he couldn’t convince Irene, and in the end they couldn’t come to an agreement on the matter.

Having agreed to meet at another time, the members of the Association said goodbye and left the hotel. Patrick Green, a representative of the Federation, was also in a hurry to inform his superiors about the results of the negotiations.

Before leaving, Irina, a Diamond-ranked being, stopped and, glancing at Idan, smiled mysteriously at him, followed the others.

The Guild leaders also hurried to leave after they left. However, before Irene and Arslan could leave the hotel, Idan stopped them, asking them to drop them at a certain place.

It’s time for Idan and Arabel to return to the battlefield where they fought Erza and the Guardian of the Light to assess the changes that have taken place since they disappeared into the portal.
