CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1917: Chapter 1925: Not Coming Anymore

”James Black...” Jane Sampson lay quietly ten centimeters away from James Black and softly called him, ”Are you not leaving tonight?”

”Leaving.” James Black replied.

After a moment’s pause, he added, ”I’ll stay with you for two hours, leaving around four.”

Upon hearing that James Black would stay with her for two hours, Jane Sampson didn’t want to waste time sulking with him.

She quickly sat up, then crawled over to James Black’s side and lay down again, taking away his hand and snuggling into his arms.

”Will you come again tomorrow night?” She asked as soon as she finished, not waiting for James Black’s answer, Jane Sampson herself said, ”Don’t come, it’s so late, and so far, running back and forth is tiring, it’s better to rest well to have enough energy during the day.”

”Alright, I won’t come.” Today was really because he was worried about Jane Sampson that James Black risked coming out.

After tonight, he wouldn’t take such risks anymore.

Although Jane Sampson was persuading James Black not to come, hearing him say he really won’t come, she felt a little lost.

”You’ve been tired all day, rest early, sleep tight.” James Black kissed Jane Sampson’s forehead gently, his voice soft, ”Sleep well, don’t overthink.”

”Alright.” Jane Sampson lightly responded without saying more, obediently closing her eyes.

She suddenly seemed particularly well-behaved.

James Black knew that she couldn’t sleep or rather, was reluctant to fall asleep.

Closing her eyes and pretending to sleep was just to ease his mind.

His girl was always so sensible that it pained him.

”Silly girl.” James Black remarked softly, the person in his arms heard it, her eyelashes fluttered slightly, but she had no intention of opening her eyes.

”Did you cry today when you walked in front of me?” James Black suddenly asked her.

Jane Sampson abruptly opened her eyes and looked at him, her expression slightly surprised, ”You... How did you...”

How did he know?

When Jane Sampson cried, she didn’t look back, and he followed behind, so he couldn’t see her face, how did he know?

”The second time I saw you raise your hand, I knew.” James Black felt more heartache when she cried as he watched her walk out of school.

And he was just behind her a few meters away, could only watch, couldn’t go up to hold her, comfort her, tell her not to cry.

James Black knew when Jane Sampson cried, he used a lot of willpower not to catch up.

In his heart, he kept hoping, hoping Jane Sampson would just walk away, never return crying amidst the busy road to hold him.

Luckily, she was obedient, walking away without a backward glance.

But he was heartbroken to this day.

”I didn’t cry, I just got sand in my eyes.” Jane Sampson turned her head, coldly snorted, ”I find you annoying, I’m too glad not seeing you, how could I cry?”

Jane Sampson’s fingertips tapped on James Black’s chest, ”Have you heard the saying? In the mountain without a tiger, the monkey reigns as the overlord, without you around, I’m very free.”

”So, you just go busy with your things, look, I’m busy every day with the film crew, with Brother James Carter and together with Coco and Harry Little Money, where do I have time to think about you?”

Finishing, Jane Sampson snuggled back into James Black’s arms, saying, ”You should close your eyes and sleep too! No more talking!”

James Black quieted down as well.

She didn’t admit it, a predictable outcome for him, but the answer, he had already received from her first reaction.
