CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1914: Chapter 1922: Not Missing Him

And after he knew it was himself who had fallen, he quickly picked her up and headed towards an empty place.

It seemed like he was avoiding someone.

”The film crew came here for filming in the morning. When I was at the office building this morning, I saw you upstairs.” After Jane Sampson figured things out, she didn’t argue with James Black anymore.

”I saw you and thought you were giving me a surprise by coming to find me without telling me. I was very happy. After finishing filming, I let Coco go back to the crew first and came to find you alone. I’m sorry, I didn’t expect you to be on a mission. Would my sudden visit affect you?”

Jane Sampson was worried she might influence James Black. She hadn’t expected to encounter James Black, who was on a mission, there.

”Do you really like such surprises?” James Black suddenly asked seriously.

Jane Sampson found James Black’s question baffling. After thinking for a while, she nodded.

”Okay, I understand.” James Black replied, then patted Jane Sampson’s back. ”You can let go now. If someone sees you with me, you’ll be in danger. Walk down this road, I’ll watch you go first, then follow you from several meters behind until you exit the school gate and get in the car before I come back. When you see me in the future, pretend not to know me, and don’t rush to me like this.”

Jane Sampson responded with a hum, reluctantly letting go of James Black. She nodded and walked forward, turning back every few steps.

It was only when James Black kept signaling her to stop turning back that she resisted the urge and strode forward.

She was in front.

Ten meters behind was him.

At first, Jane Sampson found it quite novel and interesting.

But when James Black didn’t let her turn around to look at him, Jane Sampson suddenly felt a sourness in her heart, an emotion filling her chest.

After being dropped to the ground by James Black, those two tears were deliberately squeezed out to make James Black distressed.

But now, with her back to James Black, she couldn’t turn around to see the person she missed for a long time. She had to leave the school indifferently, leave him as if she didn’t know him.

Jane Sampson’s tears suddenly fell one by one.

She raised her hand to wipe away the tears several times, with only one thought in her mind.

Not turning back is also good.

If she doesn’t turn back, he won’t see her crying.

Not knowing she is crying, he can peacefully complete his tasks.

After leaving the school, Jane Sampson got into a taxi.

She returned to the film crew quite early, but her eyes were red from crying.

”Those who know would think you went to see your Lord Investor Black; those who don’t would assume you just broke up and that’s why you’re crying like this. Is it because you were disappointed not to find someone?”

Coco Edwards sat down in front of Jane Sampson: ”Didn’t the director praise you not long ago, remember? The director also said you are very independent and not clingy to your husband at all.”

”Think about it, your daddy Black controls everything, doesn’t let you eat this or that—what an abhorrent face! You wouldn’t want to think of him immediately.”

Jane Sampson shook her head. Recalling what James Black said, she didn’t mention seeing James Black to Coco Edwards.

James Black was in the same city with her, yet he hadn’t told her, so she must not reveal James’s whereabouts to others either.

”Mm, not missing him. By the way, Coco, I’m hungry. Is there any food left in the room? I haven’t had lunch yet!”

Jane Sampson stood up and patted her belly towards Coco Edwards, smiling, ”Look, it’s flattened from hunger.”
