Chapter 1912: Chapter 1920: Why Is It You

Now in the small grove, facing the forked crossroads, Jane Sampson stomped her foot, a bit angry with herself, and hummed to herself.

Her sense of direction had always been poor. When she came here, she hadn’t expected that a school could have so many interconnected paths.

Jane Sampson took out her mobile phone and made a call to James Black, but unexpectedly, there was a notification that it was turned off.

At this, Jane Sampson was stunned.

What she saw just now was clearly James Black himself, so why is it that when she calls him, his phone is off?

The mission is already over, isn’t the first thing he should do is to turn on his phone?

Unable to find him or reach him by phone, Jane Sampson could only put her mobile away, shove her hands into her pockets, and look around, planning to find a student to ask for directions. If she couldn’t find James Black, she decided to return to the film crew first.

Looking around, she saw almost no one, so Jane Sampson took a few more steps forward, and it was only then that she heard a faint sound of someone speaking. Quickly, she headed towards the source of the voice.

At first, Jane Sampson only wanted to ask for directions, but she didn’t expect a pleasant surprise.

Before getting close, she saw that familiar back.

Jane Sampson was so excited that she almost jumped up.

But James Black was facing away from her, talking to someone, and Jane Sampson restrained herself, hiding behind a nearby tree, waiting for the person James Black was talking to to leave. Once that person walked away, she came out from behind the tree.

Quietly, quietly approaching James Black from behind.

Whatever James Black was saying to the person, he didn’t move an inch even after they left, just staring ahead as if pondering something.

At that moment, Jane Sampson closed in without being noticed.

Covering her mouth and chuckling softly, Jane Sampson took off running towards James Black and then leaped, pouncing directly onto his back, wrapping her arms around his lower back.

Just as she was about to bring her lips close to his ear and shout his name, James Black suddenly moved.

Without hesitation, he threw the person clinging to his back over his shoulder onto the ground.

”Ah!” Jane Sampson screamed, landing flat on her back, unable to move, her vision going black.

Hearing the familiar voice, James Black’s heart tightened, and he hurriedly bent down to pull the person off the ground.

”Jane?” James Black was astonished, ”Why is it you?”

The way he looked was clearly very surprised to suddenly see Jane Sampson.

Jane Sampson, furious, smacked away James Black’s hand, her eyes red as she pushed him away, ”I hate you. You actually threw me to the ground. Go away, go away! I don’t need your fake concern.”

That unnamed fire in her heart just erupted from within Jane Sampson.

”I didn’t know it was you.” Jane Sampson didn’t have much strength, and James Black remained unaffected by her push.

Seeing Jane Sampson with red eyes, James Black felt both regretful and distressed.

”Didn’t I tell you not to suddenly jump on me from behind? You just don’t learn, huh?” James Black tried to pull Jane Sampson up from the ground, ”Move a bit, see if you hurt yourself.”

Jane Sampson sat on the ground groaning, turning her head away, ignoring James Black.

”Don’t be mad.” James Black quickly scooped her up, looked around, then carried her into the empty small grove.

While walking, he asked, ”Why are you here? Aren’t you filming with the crew?”

Jane Sampson glared at James Black. Hmph, not even allowed to be angry! So domineering!

”This place is full of young, handsome boys. Why do you think I came here?” Jane Sampson replied irritably.
