CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1749: Chapter 1757: Visiting the Set

”Don’t think just because you’re whispering, I can’t hear you gossiping about me.” Jane Sampson raised her eyes and looked at Coco Edwards, ”What are you and Harry Little Money complaining about me?”

”Complaining that you’re youthful and beautiful.” Coco Edwards smiled with an innocent look on her face, well, isn’t she youthful and beautiful? The teenage mood swings have nothing on her metamorphoses.

”Although you’re definitely not praising me in your heart, I will still take it as a compliment for my youth and beauty, so I accept it.” Jane Sampson laughed cheerfully and was so pleased she changed her lying position, her fox-like fake ear prop on her forehead trembling with her laughter.

Coco Edwards and Harry Little Money were next to her, both watching with their hearts melting from the cuteness, exchanged glances, and tacitly took out their mobile phones to capture a short video of Jane Sampson reclining lazily, rolling her eyes.

Over at the guard team, James Black only had time after lunch to check his mobile phone and saw the cryptic WhatsApp message from Jane Sampson, which left him puzzled.

He couldn’t figure out what had happened to her that made her send such a comment.

The pouting emoji represented the mood she was in when she sent the message, indicating that she would not accept any rebuttals.

James Black couldn’t help but chuckle softly, but after checking the time, he refrained from making a call to Jane Sampson, because at this time, after meals, she would likely want to take a short rest.

Time flew by, and it was already Friday. Jane Sampson was very excited all day because, after today, tomorrow, James Black was going to visit the set.

Even though she didn’t have a weekend, she was as thrilled as the office workers anticipating the weekend.

But surprisingly, the first person to visit Jane Sampson while filming this movie wasn’t James Black, but James Carter.

When Harry Little Money mentioned that James Carter came to visit the film crew, Jane Sampson was stunned in her seat, and only when she saw James Carter hobbling in slowly with a cane did she believe it was true.

She put down the teapot in her hand, stood up, and excitedly waved at James Carter a few steps away, ”Mr. Carter!”

James Carter’s gaze softened noticeably, with a growing smile on his face, and he quickened his steps towards Jane Sampson.

”Mr. Carter, have a seat.” Coco Edwards brought a chair for James Carter to sit down and then, with Harry Little Money, tactfully went elsewhere to chat with people.

”Mr. Carter, why are you here!” Jane Sampson was indeed very surprised.

”I just came from another film crew and, thinking it wasn’t far from you, decided to swing by to see you and also talk about that song you mentioned to me that day.” James Carter had come from Jillian Carter’s place.

Jillian Carter had arrived in Capital Province not long ago, and the family was worried, so during the past two days he happened to be in Capital Province, he specially went to the film crew to check on Jillian Carter.

As James Carter and the Carter Family initially feared, Jillian Carter had thrown several tantrums in the film crew, all due to acting reasons.

Acting proved to be much more difficult than Jillian Carter initially thought. Even considering the investor behind the scenes, the director lowered many standards, but lowering standards didn’t mean there were no standards at all.

Therefore, the filming over there wasn’t going smoothly, progress was quite slow, the director was holding back his anger, and Jillian Carter frequently flew into tempers, which led to a rather tense atmosphere in the entire film crew, not very good.
