CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1723: Chapter 1731: So Unlucky

”It’s quite a coincidence that the matter of David Chip hiring a killer to harm Julie Sampton became widespread when David Chip was kidnapped. It became a well-known story, triggering emotions. Seeing David Chip reminded the kidnappers of the person they couldn’t stab to death, so they castrated David Chip.”

Peter Gingery said, ”When David Chip was rescued, he was covered in blood, almost dying. Luckily, we arrived in time, and he was sent for emergency care promptly. His life was saved, but from now on, David Chip is a eunuch.”

After finishing, Peter Gingery looked at the dumbfounded Jane Sampson and pushed her, ”Aren’t you going to clap?”

”That’s really unfortunate.” Jane Sampson snapped back to her senses and lightly shook her head, ”Just happened to encounter such a kidnapper.”

”The one who beat David Chip was basically that kidnapper’s doing as well.” Peter Gingery nodded, ”It’s very unfortunate. This person, after being released from prison, wanted to continue seeking revenge on the one who harmed his daughter, only to find out that the person had died in a car accident earlier. He spent 20 years in prison, his heart full of vengeful anger, which ended up being taken out on David Chip.”

These kidnappers, all had criminal records, and they had no significant attachments in this world.

So, they operated with the mindset that if successful, each would get one hundred million, leading a good life thereafter. If unsuccessful, they would just lose their lives. They targeted David Chip because the incidents involving David Chip and Julie Sampton were too popular on the internet, making it to the hot search, just in time to be noticed by the kidnappers who were looking for a target. David Chip himself was not discreet, flaunting wealth on Twitter photo after photo.

The kidnappers investigated and found that David Chip was wealthy and the sole heir of the Chip Family, thus targeting David Chip.

They thought that if there were brothers in the house, the family might not be willing to cough up 800 million to ransom a person, but as the sole heir, 800 million shouldn’t be a problem for the Chip Family.

The only issue was that the kidnappers were unaware and thought that for rich people, getting 800 million in cash was just a matter of withdrawing it from the bank. The Chip Family kept saying they were raising money, which the kidnappers assumed was stalling for time, thus repeatedly inciting their anger.

”Little Jane, think about it, this is equivalent to David Chip hiring a killer to destroy his only child in this life, the child in Julie Sampton’s belly was harmed by him, and from now on, David Chip won’t be able to have children. The Chip Family will end with him, extinct.” This was what Peter Gingery wanted to convey to Jane Sampson, ”Don’t you think David Chip deserved it?”

”He brought it upon himself. If David Chip had even a bit of benevolence and hadn’t been so ruthless to Julie Sampton, the kidnapper wouldn’t have done this to him. Even if the kidnapper had really done so, at least there would still be a child in Julie Sampton’s belly to continue their Chip Family’s bloodline.” Peter Gingery stopped talking after saying this.

Peter Gingery didn’t tell Jane Sampson that David Chip becoming a eunuch also meant the peace of the Chip Family was gone.

For a family like the Chips, how could they willingly accept extinction, with family assets falling into others’ hands?

David Chip couldn’t have children anymore, but David Chip’s father might still succeed if he tries hard.

How to have a child? Madam Chip is too old to have one; naturally, they would seek another woman to bear it.

If Madam Chip were smart enough, she would bring the child born by another woman and her husband back home to raise as her own child, but David Chip has truly become a wastrel.
