CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1728: Chapter 1736: Can’t Get Rid of Him

Nina Rice’s disdain was palpable, without any concealment.

Jane Sampson gave Nina a look, and Nina understood immediately. Without the slightest hesitation, she reached out and pushed Alexander Forest away, nearly pushing him to the ground, then she walked out from behind him.

”Hey, hey, hey, the woman’s heart is the most venomous, aren’t you afraid of killing me like this?” Alexander Forest held onto the edge of the table with both hands, staring in shock as Nina swiftly walked away.

”Didn’t you not fall to your death yet? Talk about it after you do,” Nina scoffed. ”If you’re so scared, could you please tuck in your legs a bit? Don’t sit there all sprawled out like a bum, looking like a turtle.”

”What? It’s one thing to call me a bum, but how do I look like a turtle?” Alexander Forest chased after her and grabbed Nina’s arm. ”Don’t you think my legs look particularly long and nice sitting like that?”

”Not at all,” Nina shook off Alexander Forest’s hand, linked arms with Jane Sampson, and went upstairs.

Closing the office door, Nina let out a howl, slamming her palm onto the table, ”Is Alexander Forest trying to cling onto me? He comes here every day, and I can’t get rid of him!”

”Does he like you?” Jane Sampson asked with curiosity.

”Just because he likes me doesn’t mean I have to like him. Come on, the whole country knows that Alexander Forest is a playboy. Am I crazy to get mixed up with a man like him?” Nina shook her head vigorously. ”Too clingy, I can’t shake him off, he reports in every day, so annoying.”

”True.” The term playboy fits Alexander Forest perfectly. Although Alexander Forest and Kane Forest are cousins, when it comes to women, Alexander really has sampled all kinds, while Kane is...

Anyway, Jane Sampson has never heard of Kane Forest having any scandals or being close with any woman.

Jasmine Seven kept chatting with Jane Sampson every day, saying that her grandparents were always nagging, hoping the brothers could strike a balance when it comes to women—one shouldn’t be so fickle, the other shouldn’t be so indifferent and passionless.

Alexander Forest’s reputation as a womanizer was well-known, and as Nina’s good friend, Jane Sampson wasn’t very supportive of Nina being with Alexander.

One is a seasoned love expert, the other a novice; if things don’t work out, it’s obvious who would get hurt more.

”Maybe I can talk to Kane Forest for you, ask him to keep Alexander in check?” Jane Sampson tentatively suggested.

”Sure, I’m fed up too. I was just planning on asking President Forest to manage his younger brother.” Nina nodded, ”If that doesn’t work, I’ll go find Old Sir Forest—surely someone in the Forest Family can control this peacock of Alexander Forest.”

He’s constantly trying to flaunt his colorful tail in front of me.

As part of a courtship display.

”Oh, by the way, Jillian Carter is also in Capital Province. Their crew had a dinner gathering two days ago, coincidentally at our store, I saw her,” Nina said. ”The whole crew was surrounding her; the actors from the same drama crew were doting on her, calling her Sister Misty this, Sister Misty that. Jillian Carter still had that arrogant air about her, just looking at it made my eyes hurt.”

”The TV drama crew has been filming all along, so she’s definitely in Capital Province,” Jane Sampson said. ”Now that our film crew is established, the TV drama crew must be feeling the pressure too.”

”Go for it, little Jane, I’m waiting for your movie premiere, to outshine her in acting skills, and let her be arrogant again. So what if she stole your role? She won’t perform as well as you, and by then, she’ll only be criticized for her performance.” Nina patted Jane Sampson’s shoulder and waved a small fist at her, ”Go for it!”
