CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1725: Chapter 1733: In a Fit of Anger

”Mom, look, David Chip got what he deserved, even God didn’t spare him. Mom, I’m so happy, I’m so relieved!” Julie Sampton cried out painfully, holding Mother Sampton tightly.

The anger and resentment bottled up inside were all released at this moment.

These past few days, Julie Sampton cursed David Chip day and night, wishing him no good. And now, she got her wish. Seeing David Chip fall to this point, her relief was so overwhelming that she almost didn’t know how to smile.

”Luna, don’t scare your mom.” Mother Sampton gently held Julie Sampton, ”It’s all in the past, Luna. When you’re discharged, Mom will take you home.”

”Home?” Julie Sampton sneered, ”Mom, do we even have a home now? Since the incident, Dad hasn’t visited once. He kicked both you and me out. Don’t you understand? In his heart, the most important thing is his own interest. You and I are not as important as the company.”

Julie Sampton held Mother Sampton’s hand tightly and said, ”Mom, Dad just sold the company. He still has a lot of money in his hands. Tomorrow, get a lawyer and divorce Dad. Split the money he has, and then we immigrate abroad. Mom, I have 80 million. If we spend wisely in the future, 80 million is enough to support us for a lifetime. From now on, I’ll take care of you.”

Upon hearing about divorce, Mother Sampton froze and looked at Julie Sampton, ”You want me to divorce your dad? Luna, how can I divorce your dad? I can’t even...”

”Not divorcing? Do you think he will still take care of you? If you don’t divorce now, in the future, will you still rely on Dad to support you?” Julie Sampton mocked with a smile, ”Mom, do you believe me? If you propose a divorce now, Dad might not even agree because he hasn’t had enough time to transfer his assets. If you don’t believe me, I won’t force you. You can continue to stay by Dad’s side. I’ll leave for abroad by myself. Anyway, I have money, I can support myself.”

Saying this, Julie Sampton gently pushed Mother Sampton’s hand away, ”Mom, if you want to go home, then go home. If I go abroad and one day you have a change of heart, give me a call. Then I’ll come to pick you up. But, Mom, let me remind you, after you go home, if Dad wants you to sign any contract, or talks about starting any company or anything, make sure you fully understand before signing. Don’t wait until you want to find me only to discover you’re burdened with debt and unable to leave the country.”

Julie Sampton understood her father too well. He was a man as selfish as she was, and even less humane.

A man who could ignore his wife and daughter in the hospital couldn’t possibly be counted on to have a conscience.

”Luna, don’t think of your dad as so bad. He actually cares for you a lot.” Mother Sampton shook her head slightly in disapproval, ”Your dad is still angry these days, so he hasn’t come around. Once his anger subsides, he’ll naturally come to see you.”

”Still angry? As a father, how can anger be so great that even when his daughter is in the hospital, barely surviving, he remains angry and doesn’t show up?” Julie Sampton sneered, ”Mom, you’re so naïve. To him, I am of no use anymore. Moreover, he has placed all the blame on me. To him now, I’m not his daughter, but the enemy who made him lose everything.”

Julie Sampton knew she couldn’t persuade Mother Sampton, and she was tired, so she slowly closed her eyes, no longer speaking.

When she first returned home, she was afraid her parents wouldn’t like her and spent so much effort trying to understand her biological parents. So, she understood better than anyone else what kind of people her biological father and mother really were.
