CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1738: Chapter 1746: Ruthless

Jane Sampson felt that, hearing James Black’s dismissive remarks about the gift she gave him, she should be angry.

But, after hearing him seriously saying that the plush doll wasn’t as pretty as she was, she couldn’t help but smile, grinning at her mobile phone screen happily.

”So, I look that good to you, huh?” Jane Sampson chuckled, knowing the plush doll was hand-stitched and couldn’t possibly be as flawless in detail.

But hearing James Black’s inadvertent compliment made Jane’s heart overflow with joy.

James Black glanced at the woman on the mobile phone screen who was smiling happily, and all the anger in his heart dissipated because of her smile.

She always had a way of making him so mad that he wanted to strangle her, then using a smile to sweep all that anger away. She really knew how to torment people.

”Just this once, don’t let me see these random things again,” James Black pretended to grumble sternly, ”I have a wife, I’d rather hug you than these things.”

”Mmm! Mmm! Mmm!” Jane Sampson nodded vigorously, her response was obedient, agreeable, and prompt.

James Black reached out to place the plush doll back in the bed and also covered it with the quilt before walking out of the bedroom with the mobile phone, heading to the dinner table, and turning the surveillance camera towards the double-layer milk curd on the table, he said, ”This was originally bought specifically for you to eat.”

Noticing Jane Sampson’s eyes light up on the mobile phone as she stared at the double-layer milk curd on his table, her face was practically screaming ’I want to eat that’.

”However,” James Black sat down and picked up the double-layer milk curd, ”since you’re back at the hotel, I’ll just eat it myself.”

With that, James Black opened the lid and shoveled spoonfuls into his mouth.

Yet his gaze never left the mobile phone screen, watching Jane Sampson puff her cheeks in jealousy, and somehow, this made James Black feel even more satisfied.

”No wonder you always talk about wanting to eat this, the taste is indeed quite good,” James Black remarked, unusually making a comment.

Jane Sampson felt a herd of horses galloping through her heart, ”So, as punishment, you’re just going to eat it in front of me?”

When did James Black become so ruthless?

Hmph! Beast!

Hmph! Childish!

At that moment, Jane Sampson’s face was filled with disbelief.

The snack she’d been craving for a long time ended up in James Black’s stomach, and he even ate it in front of her?

James Black always ate quickly, but today, he took his time, chewing slowly without minding the hassle.

Jane Sampson silently watched for two full minutes, swallowing several times, then silently, silently leaned her phone on the table and freed her hands to silently, silently cover her eyes.

James Black, looking at the mobile phone where Jane Sampson covered her eyes with both hands and pouted unhappily, couldn’t help but raise the corners of his lips silently, letting out a quiet smile.

”Why are you covering your eyes? Take them away,” James Black still spoke up.

”No, my eyes hurt,” Jane Sampson huffed for James Black to hear, ”Are you finished eating yet? How can it take so long to eat?”

”Wouldn’t you know if I’m done eating if you just moved your hands?” James Black teased her.

”No way.” Jane Sampson held onto her last bit of stubbornness.

However, this stubbornness vanished in just a few seconds.

Covering her eyes, she asked James Black, ”Are you coming to the film crew this weekend?”
