Chapter 1437: Chapter 1445: You Get Off the Car

Jane Sampson’s face was flushed red, like she had sneaked a sip of wine, and her eyes merrily looked at James Black before she smiled.

To exaggerate a bit, it seemed her mouth almost split to the back of her ears, showing just how happy she was.

”Keep your laughter a bit more restrained.” Peter Gingery, sitting in the rear seat, slowly removed his hand and muttered, ”Should I vacate the space and drive myself?”

Peter Gingery was just saying it casually, but unexpectedly, James Black seriously said to him, ”Get out of the car.”

???

Peter Gingery was completely baffled, then he huddled in the rear seat with an expression of fear and trembling, remaining silent.

James Black turned to look at Peter Gingery and urged, ”Didn’t you say you wanted to drive yourself?”

”Bro, you’re serious?” Peter Gingery scratched his head and then really opened the car door and got down.

Jane sat next to him, chuckling under her breath. Watching Peter Gingery’s retreating figure, she slowly shifted her gaze away from the car window. ”Where’s the location?” James Black finally looked at Jane Sampson, noting her seemingly joyful expression as if he had an epiphany.

Does she like it this much when I’m close to her?

”Dragon Lake Villa Club,” replied Jane Sampson.

The gathering was set by Mimi Wood, not Forest, and everyone agreed to meet there at around 10 a.m. They had planned a full day of activities.

James Black hummed in acknowledgment, then re-fastened his own seatbelt and started the car, driving it out of the guard team area.

After Peter Gingery got out of the car, he first returned to his dormitory to grab his car key and then went to the parking lot to drive his own car out. On the road, he sent Jane Sampson an emoji of a big cry to express the inner collapse of being kicked out of the car.

However, Jane Sampson did not reply to him at all.

From the guard team to the Dragon Lake Villa Club, it took nearly two hours. When James Black parked the car at the villa’s doorway designated for the gathering, it was already around 10:20 a.m.

”I’ll arrive here to pick you up at 8 o’clock tonight at the latest,” James Black said after parking the car, pressing on the seatbelt buckle at Jane Sampson’s seat to help her unfasten it. After thinking for a moment, he added, ”Peter Gingery is also here, have him look out for you. If you don’t find it fun, have Peter Gingery take you back to the guard team any time.”

”Don’t worry, I definitely won’t be unhappy, all of us have been friends through games for many years.” Jane Sampson smiled, ”After all these years, those of us who can still hang out are of a similar stripe; even in real life, I think we can still be friends.”

James Black didn’t bother to counter Jane Sampson’s words with any of his own. Besides, Peter Gingery was also there; even if those people were unreliable, they wouldn’t let Jane Sampson lose out.

Jane Sampson got out of the car, took her stuff from the rear seat, closed the car door, and waved to James Black, ”That’s it, you can go back now. Work hard and no jealousy allowed!”

James Black, with raised eyebrows, watched Jane Sampson carry her stuff without looking back at him and walked straight into the main gate.

Heh, when it comes to playing, she doesn’t cling to him at all.

James Black drove the car a little bit forward, but he didn’t leave immediately; instead, he rolled down the window, lit a cigarette, and sat inside smoking. He planned to wait for Peter Gingery to arrive before leaving.

Jane Sampson arrived not too early or too late. When she entered, the villa’s main gate was open, and muffled voices of people talking could be heard from inside.
