CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1408: Chapter 1416: Reassuring Her

After the car stopped steadily, James Black got out of the car as well, and Old Master Black couldn’t help but roll his eyes at his grandson.

???

Jane Sampson turned her head to look at James Black, what did this guy do to upset Old Sir?

After entering the home, Old Master Black inevitably brought up the incident of Jane Sampson’s live broadcast channel being sabotaged last night.

”Everyone on the internet is saying that it was Jillian Carter who did it, so does this have anything to do with that girl?” Old Master Black was concerned about this, ”If it really was her doing, bullying someone from the Black Family like this, does this girl think she’s living too comfortably?”

”Forget it, grandfather, she has already announced her withdrawal from the entertainment industry,” Jane Sampson said, gently swaying Old Sir’s arm, ”Grandfather, she bullied me, but I fought back.”

At least for the sake of James Carter and Gwendolyn Young, Jane Sampson wouldn’t escalate the issue with Jillian Carter to a matter between the two families and clans.

Her retaliation against Jillian Carter didn’t disturb the adults, making it just a minor skirmish between two girls.

”She’s withdrawn from the industry?” Old Master Black’s eyebrows slightly relaxed, ”Since she’s withdrawn, then let’s forget about it.”

Jane Sampson was having a blast living in the Black Family, but the same couldn’t be said for Jillian Carter.

She woke up in her own villa.

That wasn’t even the most shocking thing for her; when she opened the door with her messy hair and came downstairs to see her father talking with her mother in the living room, she was stunned on the spot.

Minister Carter downstairs heard the noise of the door opening upstairs, looked up, and upon seeing his daughter still looking hungover, clenched his teeth in anger.

”Pack your stuff, we’re going back immediately,” Father Carter said coldly.

”Daddy, I’m not going back,” Jillian Carter shook her head, ”I have work here.”

”I’ve had your brother help you to terminate the contract with the live broadcast company, and I also announced your retirement on twitter for you, so, you should go back with your father,” Gwendolyn Young said, her voice not any softer, ”I’ve already had the bank freeze your cards.”

”Mother!” Jillian Carter was taken aback, she ran down from upstairs and growled, ”How can you make decisions for me without my consent? I don’t agree with the termination! I’m not going back! Why did you freeze my bank card? I want to stay in Capital Province, I won’t go anywhere else but here!”

”Whether you want to go back or not, you have to go back with me! Or do you think I’m standing here today to visit you?” Father Carter was furiously uncontainable, ”I have given you chance after chance, last time I wanted to personally take you back to Capital Province, but I went soft, if I’d known that my softness would give you another chance to play the fool, I would have dragged you back no matter what last time!”

After that, Father Carter added, ”You have five minutes to wash up and get ready, we are leaving in five minutes.”

”I’m not going back,” Jillian Carter stubbornly stood her ground, still shaking her head, but she didn’t make a move to do anything.

Father Carter ignored Jillian Carter and turned to speak with his wife, saying, ”The weather in Capital Province is cool, take good care of James Carter for me, that boy likes to push himself too hard. You’re all in Capital Province, take a little extra care of him.”

”He’s my son, do you need to tell me that?” Gwendolyn Young replied with a question of her own.

Father Carter hmmed, faintly smiling a shallow smile, then as if he remembered something, said, ”When you see Jane Sampson, apologize to her properly on behalf of Jillian, she went too far during the live broadcast last night. Tell her, rest assured, I will definitely discipline Jillian from now on, I won’t let her disturb Jane’s life again.”
