Chapter 931: Chapter 939 Dream River’s Summer

”What are you doing?” James Black walked over, picked up the perfume she had placed on the bed, and set it on her dressing table before returning to sit down by her side.

”Experiencing the life of this perfume,” Jane Sampson replied artistically.

”Heh.” James Black turned the person lying down over.

Jane Sampson pursed her lips, her eyebrows knitted slightly as if she was somewhat unhappy about James Black pulling at her.

But when James Black pulled her up, she glanced at him and dared not to say anything. Instead, she asked him, ”How does it smell?”

”Not bad.” At least to James Black, it seemed quite nice.

”This perfume is translated into Chinese as Dream River’s Summer,” Jane Sampson leaned towards James Black and grinned, ”Isn’t the name especially nice-sounding?”

”Are you going to recommend it to your fans again?” James Black flicked Jane Sampson’s forehead with his hand, ”Aren’t you afraid it’ll sell out again?”

”Not afraid,” Jane Sampson shook her head, ”This brand’s perfumes aren’t cheap, and they’re not sold domestically, unlike the body lotion.”

After all, a bottle of perfume can be used for a long time since Jane Sampson wasn’t the type to wear perfume every day, only occasionally when she felt like it.

Since it was Sunday, Jane Sampson drove James Black back to the guard team when it wasn’t too hot. In the evening, she cooked a meal, and Peter Gingery came bouncing over to have a meal again.

During the meal, Peter Gingery brought up last night’s gathering, ”Sister Yvette Quick said she has already confirmed her teaching position at Capital Province University. Thomas Lancaster is still considering it, not sure yet, but anyway, he’ll stay in Capital Province for sure. It’s great that we’ll all be in Capital Province in the future.”

James Black already knew these things that evening. Thomas Lancaster had a company and owned a considerable number of shares, so he was considering either going into business or teaching at the university.

Last night, when he heard about these matters from Thomas Lancaster and Yvette Quick, James Black was somewhat astonished, given that just the night before, he had heard about this couple from Jane Sampson.

At that time, Jane Sampson blurted out that the couple was teaching at Capital Province University.

James Black was still astounded by Jane Sampson’s words until now.

Although Jane Sampson later claimed she was talking nonsense and had made an error, her speculative comment regarding Yvette Quick’s job was correct, at least for the time being.

In his heart, James Black even faintly felt that Thomas Lancaster might eventually choose to teach at Capital Province University.

While Jane Sampson and Peter Gingery were chatting away happily, James Black was always a man of few words, so it wasn’t strange to them that he ate his meal quietly without speaking.

”Last night, Old Watson also told me he’s thinking of trying to transfer to the Capital Province police station next year,” Jane Sampson picked up where Peter Gingery left off. ”He said if he can’t make it in the police force, I should give him a hand and get him into the circle. He said he could become the hottest singer, which absolutely cracked me up.”

”Didn’t he also brag about his good looks, saying even if he weren’t a singer, his looks alone could make him the hottest guy? Shamelessly so,” Peter Gingery smirked as he spoke of Old Watson, which naturally reminded him of Jane Sampson getting drunk last night.

Then he said, ”Speaking of which, little Jane, why are you so adorable when you’re drunk?”

Peter Gingery had stayed at the Black Family home last night. When he got home, his mom and dad were just arriving as well, so he had heard about Jane Sampson’s drunken antics from them.
