CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 904: Chapter 912: As Long as She’s Happy

Peter Gingery laughed, ”Can pig’s trotters really nourish my brother’s hand? His hand isn’t a pig’s trotter.”

”Haven’t you heard of like cures like? Could it be that if your brother’s left hand is injured and needs nourishing, I have to chop off your left hand to stew it for soup so he can recover?” Jane Sampson retorted unapologetically.

Hmph, Peter Gingery wasn’t James Black. She might yield to James Black, but there was no way she would yield to the likes of this kid, Peter Gingery, right?

Peter Gingery could only respond to Jane Sampson’s retort with a sheepish grin, muttering to himself that little Jane was getting more and more ferocious.

Once he finished muttering, he remembered to ask, ”Little Jane, where are the tea eggs?”

”Oh, I almost forgot, wait a moment, I’ll get them.” Jane stood up excitedly and scampered back to the kitchen, returning with a small basin in her hands.

The basin still contained the tea she had used to cook the tea eggs. As soon as she brought it out, a faint scent of tea wafted through the living room.

James Black’s eyebrows twitched subtly; why did this scent of tea feel so familiar?

”Jane Sampson, where did you find the tea leaves?” James Black quickly asked.

”In the fridge’s second freezing layer. You’ve opened it, the one with two bags soaked,” Jane answered candidly as she tapped an egg on the tabletop and swiftly peeled it clean, splitting it into two with her hands.

With her skillful hands, she separated the egg into one half containing only egg white and the other half with the egg white and a perfectly intact egg yolk.

Jane didn’t notice the change on James Black’s face beside her as she happily handed the egg white half to Peter Gingery, saying, ”Try this. I don’t know where James Black got this high-quality tea leaves, but this time, the tea flavor is so fragrant that even someone like me who doesn’t like tea finds it delicious.”

James Black’s mouth twitched slightly, ”How much did you use?”

”Not much, just two bags.” Jane held up two fingers towards James Black, then quickly turned to see him staring grimly at the tea eggs in the pot. She hurriedly said, ”James Black, you can’t get angry! You said I could use any of the tea leaves in your fridge, you can’t go back on your word.”

It felt as though James Black had been shot in the chest.

Great, he had to live with the consequences of his own words.

True to form, his good wife, not much, just two bags.

These were the tea leaves Alexander Forest had brought for him last time, a total of only nine small bags in the box.

It couldn’t be helped, his wife, his words.

Nevermind, as long as she was happy.

Peter Gingery eagerly grabbed the half of the egg white and took a bite, praising it repeatedly, ”This tastes really good.”

”Of course,” Jane nodded, ”It’s even better than the tea eggs made with the tea leaves James Black found for me last time, isn’t it?”

Peter Gingery munched with schadenfreude, seeing James Black’s expression that seemed unflustered. But he was certain, inside, his brother had to be irritated.

His family’s little Jane, truly awesome.

Jane held an entire egg yolk in her hand, without looking up, she extended the remaining half egg white towards Peter Gingery across the table.

The next second, her hand was empty. Jane instinctively drew back her hand, but then she heard James Black suddenly speak up beside her.

”I quite like egg whites too.”

When Jane turned to look at James Black, she realized in shock that the half of the egg white she thought had been taken by Peter Gingery was actually in James Black’s hand.
