CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 883: Chapter 891: Offended Someone, Right?

Although she was the chairman’s daughter, she didn’t hold a position in the company. So, despite Manager South usually being deferential towards Amber Edwards out of respect for the chairman, it didn’t mean Amber could just point at Manager South and call her useless.

After finishing, Manager South glanced at her colleague next, lowering her voice to ask, ”You have time to smoke here now?”

The colleague exhaled a puff of smoke, shook his head, and then sighed, ”Our division has encountered a problem too. The manager is throwing a fit in the conference room right now. But what can we do?”

”What happened?” Manager South asked.

”Didn’t we have a hot spring resort project in Capital Province? This evening, the fire department gave us a result, saying the fire inspection was not up to standard, so they refused to approve it.” the man said, ”That’s not all. The project at the three-way intersection encountered issues too. The documents submitted for review got stuck, they said it doesn’t meet the standards. So, the bureau has issued a notification that our company is not allowed to start work over there.”

”How could this be? That day at dinner, wasn’t the fire brigade over there saying that there would be no problems?” Manager South was astounded, ”I was there too that day.”

”Obviously, someone got offended and messed with us,” the colleague shrugged, ”One thing going wrong could be bad luck, that we didn’t do our job well. But when two things happen together, even a fool knows the reason.”

The man nodded toward the office behind Manager South, ”Actually, everyone in our division knows it. Today, news of Amber Edwards bullying people came out, and this evening one incident after another occurred. Clearly, Amber offended the wrong person, which then affected the company and hence unwittingly implicated us.”

Everyone understands this, but these ordinary employees dare not point at Amber Edwards directly and complain about her causing all these problems in her presence.

All they could hope for was that the division’s general manager would report these incidents up to headquarters, so that those at the headquarters could decide what to do.

”Amber Edwards offended Jane Sampson today, so it seems Jane Sampson is really no ordinary person.” Manager South clicked her tongue, ”I think this time Miss Amber Edwards has really hit a snag.”

After Manager South left, the male colleague also finished his cigarette in the corner and left, but these two did not realize that this was not the worst yet to come.

Worse was, half an hour after Manager South left,

on the internet, news about Francis’s hot spring resort at Mount Charming in Capital Province failing the fire inspection began spreading quietly.

Francis is definitely one of the top five real estate companies. Every project of Francis draws significant attention from netizens and citizens alike. With this news coming out, it really was a bombshell that night.

Jane Sampson learned about the news from her mobile phone, an official notification popped up all over Twitter, which she clicked on to read. By then, the comments had already exceeded ten thousand.

Netizen: Just from the character of this chairman’s daughter Amber Edwards, I’ve turned my back on Francis. This company seems to be corrupt through and through. Such a large mansion fails the fire inspection, it’s good that the authorities maintain strict control. Otherwise, if they had started operations and a fire broke out, it would be a matter of life and death.

Jane Sampson may not understand other things, but regarding the fire inspection, she could claim to be clearer than the ordinary person.

”A fire inspection failed, and in just a few hours the issue has blown up this big, Francis must have been targeted by a competitor,” Jane Sampson poked James Black’s arm and muttered to him.

After saying that, she thought of Amber Edwards and chuckled slyly, using a mischievous tone, ”But why do I feel so happy about this disaster, why am I enjoying this so much?”

Jane Sampson’s schadenfreude was evident as she audaciously used her own Twitter to heartily like all comments criticizing Francis.
