CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 868: Chapter 876: Pick One

Upon hearing this, Grandma Forest’s originally happy expression instantly changed.

”I knew it! I knew it! The good girls are snatched up early and brought home, where would there be a chance for that foolish boy Kane Forest!” Grandma Forest really looked like she was hopping mad.

Jane Sampson watched grandma’s behavior and guessed that being of an older age, the elderly lady’s temper had become somewhat childlike.

Therefore, Jane Sampson could only secretly send Kane Forest a text message, informing him that Grandma Forest was with her.

”James Black?” Grandma Forest thought for a moment, shook her head, then nodded and muttered, ”What a pity.”

Kane Forest must have been nearby because less than 15 minutes after Jane sent the text message, he arrived in a fluster. When he entered, one could rarely tell that his steps were a bit hurried.

”Grandma,” Kane Forest came in and stood right next to Jane and Grandma Forest, ”Why did you suddenly come out alone?”

Luckily, she knew to bring a bodyguard with her instead of running out alone.

Having said that, Kane Forest looked apologetically at Jane and said, ”I’m sorry for the trouble.”

”It’s no trouble, just as if I was catching up with Grandma Forest,” Jane laughed lightly, not feeling burdened.

Aside from feeling a bit embarrassed by some of the things Grandma Forest said, Jane quite liked the elder, who, well, had a liberated mind.

As soon as Grandma Forest saw her big grandson arrive, she gave Kane Forest a glare, stood up without a word, and slapped his shoulder twice, ”You worthless boy! Can’t even find a wife! Finally, when you meet a decent one, she’s someone else’s wife! I always said, the good girls are taken early by those who act fast, and the ones left, you don’t even fancy anymore!”

”Grandma, let’s go home and talk,” Kane Forest didn’t dodge, taking the two hits from Grandma Forest that were neither light nor heavy, then helped her to get ready to leave.

Standing there, Grandma Forest immediately took Jane’s hand and said, ”Come, girl, come home with grandma. If you don’t like my big grandson, we have another younger grandson at home, who’s sweeter-talking and better at charming girls than he is. Come home with grandma and choose, see if you can find one to your liking.”

Grandma Forest must be talking about Alexander Forest. Jane was relieved she wasn’t eating or drinking anything at that moment; otherwise, she might have choked to death.

The Forest Family’s two eligible bachelors, in Grandma Forest’s mouth, had somehow become cabbages in a market free for the choosing?

Kane Forest naturally hurried to clarify the situation, but Grandma Forest was like someone who couldn’t hear what she didn’t want to hear, clinging to Jane’s hand and refusing to let go, insisting, ”If this girl doesn’t come home with me, then I won’t go back either.”

After that, Grandma Forest sat back down with an unhappy expression.

”Mr. Forest, I’m free now, so I’ll go back to the Forest home with you. After I soothe Grandma Forest, I’ll head home,” Jane could see Kane Forest’s helplessness.

After all, she is his grandmother, and it wasn’t really possible for him to be rough with Grandma Forest and forcefully take her back home.

”Thank you,” Kane Forest breathed a sigh of relief and quickly expressed his gratitude.

Whenever he was up against his own grandma, even Kane Forest, with his indifferent and composed nature, had his moments of sheer helplessness.

Jane made a call to Coco Edwards, then she and Grandma Forest went straight to Kane Forest’s car and headed back to the Forest home.
