CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 882: Chapter 890 Avoiding But Not Taking

Jane Sampson had always been delicate since she was young, afraid of the cold in the winter and the heat in the summer, and her health had always been fragile. She wasn’t allowed to eat this or that, and she came down with an illness every few days, making her notorious as a ”medicine pot” inside the great courtyard since she was a child.

Perhaps it was because while others enjoyed snacks, she had to take medicine for years, so when Jane’s health improved slightly, she became especially fond of snacking.

Snacking was definitely one of Jane Sampson’s favorite pleasures in life.

She held a box of ice cream in one hand and a spoon in the other, sitting cross-legged on the sofa with her back leaning against James Black’s shoulder, looking utterly comfortable.

James Black did have the intention to lecture her, but seeing her rare happiness, he swallowed his words back.

The bad habits that he had indulged her in, he had to put up with himself.

While Jane Sampson was indulging herself in comfort leaning on James, things were not going nearly as well in Capital Province. The Capital branch of Francis was still brightly lit, announcing to the world that everyone at the company was still working overtime.

”Are all of you here just freeloading?” Amber Edwards stood in the Public Relations Department and scolded bitterly, ”This incident has been going on for so long, and you still haven’t come up with a solution! What’s the use of having each and every one of you in the company!”

”I’m sorry, Miss Edwards, we’ve tried our best to contact the relevant personnel and departments to cooperate with us in deleting those videos, but they are unmoved.” The Public Relations Manager who was scolded harshly was helpless, ”We had already negotiated with the blogger who first posted the video, agreed on a price, but then the person changed their mind at the last minute, and now, the video has already spread too widely, even if the first blogger deletes it, it won’t make any difference. It’s readily available on the internet, to get the relevant departments to delete it comprehensively, we also need time to pull strings.”

The Public Relations Manager said, ”We tried to contact acquaintances in the relevant departments, but these people have been ignoring calls from everyone in our company.”

”This is your responsibility! If you are in that position, you must do what you’re supposed to do!” Amber Edwards yelled, ”Can’t do it, need time, is this the excuse for your incompetence? I’ll give you one more hour, if you can’t handle it, you all can pack your bags and leave!”

”Miss Edwards, you are right, as the Public Relations Manager, I must fulfill my duties, but, Miss Edwards, you are neither an active employee of the company, nor is this incident targeted at the company, so, on what grounds do you believe that resolving these internet incidents falls within the purview of the Public Relations Department for you?”

The Public Relations Manager also had a temper. Without some support and capability, who could sit in the position of Public Relations Manager at such a young age?

After dropping the words, the Public Relations Manager turned around and left the Chairman’s daughter in the office.

However, the Public Relations Manager was called back before she got far.

”Manager South, Manager South.” A colleague hiding in the corner waved at the Public Relations Manager, then asked, ”Is Miss Edwards still throwing a tantrum in there?”

”Isn’t she? She’s the one who caused the trouble and ended up venting on us the entire afternoon.” Manager South sneered, ”And she tells me to get lost, as if she has the right to tell me, Emma South, to get lost.”
