CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 687: Chapter 695: I’m Here

”Grandfather, auntie, we’re leaving now. We’ll come back to see you when we have time!” Jane Sampson greeted the two elders before saying to Great General, ”I’m off. Next time I come, I’ll bring you some tasty treats.”

Great General seemed to understand and barked a few times, then followed Jane Sampson and James Black out of the main gate and circled James Black’s car once before stopping next to the co-pilot seat to stare at Jane Sampson.

”Buckle up your seatbelt,” James Black reminded Jane as he started the car while she was still gazing at Great General through the window.

Once Jane had fastened her seatbelt, he honked the car horn to signal Great General to move, and only after making sure that Great General had gone back inside the house did he drive the car away from Black Residence.

When the car reached the community entrance, it was nearly 10 p.m. The security guard saw James Black’s car from a distance and waved to them. He then brought out an express delivery parcel almost as tall as himself from the guardhouse and said, ”This is Miss. Sampson’s delivery. It’s so big, the courier had nowhere to put it, so it’s been left here.”

”Rabbit bride!” Jane knew instantly what it was just by looking at the packaging and couldn’t contain her excitement. She had James Black open the trunk, then asked the security guard to put the stuff inside the trunk.

Once they arrived at the garage, James Black lifted the express delivery to the upper floor with one hand, his other hand free to hold Jane, who kept glancing at the package in his hand.

As soon as they entered, Jane was about to take out scissors to open the package without even taking time to change her slippers.

”Let me do it,” offered James Black as he took the scissors from Jane’s hand. ”This is wrapped so tightly, how long would it take you to open it by yourself?”

”At most four minutes,” said Jane with a smile. ”Last time, it only took me a short while to open it.”

After all, it was a luxury brand doll, so naturally, the packaging wouldn’t be simple.

”You go take a bath first,” suggested James Black as he dragged the package into the living room. He then added, ”After I’ve unboxed it, I’ll put it in the guest room for you to see once you’re done bathing.”

Jane thought for a moment, nodded her head, and hummed an affirmation. Just as she was about to enter the bedroom, she took two steps, then suddenly ran back, wrapped her arms around James, who was bending over, figuring out where to start with the package, and planted a kiss on his face.

”Thank you!”

After kissing and speaking, Jane giggled and turned to run away.

James stood there with scissors in hand, momentarily startled, before curving the corner of his mouth into a silent laugh.

She was such an easy wife to placate.

It seemed that most girls had no resistance to these fuzzy plush dolls. James opened the package to take out the rabbit bride inside, dressed in a wedding gown. Honestly, he found the rabbit bride, dressed in her wedding dress, much more pleasing to the eye than Mr. Rabbit.

James placed the rabbit bride directly onto the guest room bed and looked at it for a moment. Then he straightened the crooked Mr. Rabbit, positioned both rabbits side by side, and then left the guest room to cleanup the trash in the living room.

Tonight was the fastest Jane Sampson had ever taken a bath. In about ten minutes, she dashed out of the bedroom in her pajamas and saw James standing in the living room drinking water. She glanced around the living room and then turned straight for the guest room.

A few seconds later, exclamations of ”Wow!” could be heard one after another from the guest room, Jane sounding overjoyed.

James, holding his water cup, listened with a tilted ear to the sounds from the guest room, and couldn’t help but start smiling as well.
