CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 658: Chapter 666: No Need to Sneak Around

Knowing she had inadvertently annoyed James Black, Jane Sampson acknowledged with a soft hum, the epitome of obedience.

Recently, he was the one holding the financial power, and when it was time to comply, she simply had to follow daddy Black’s lead.

Jane stretched out her arms to wrap around James Black’s fit waist, rubbing her face lazily against his chest while yawning. The room’s light was already off, so the inside of the room was somewhat dim.

Jane couldn’t quite make out James’s face, but his scent filled her breaths.

Perhaps it was the warmth of his embrace at this moment, so warm that it stirred something in her heart.

Jane lifted her head, wriggled her body, and pursed her lips, about to steal a kiss from James, when suddenly, the room light snapped on, accompanied by James’s rebuke, ”Stop wriggling around like a worm and lie still!”

With her lips still puckered up for the attempted kiss, the sudden light left her frozen in place, dumbfounded; meanwhile, James Black, who rebuked her, was now less than five centimeters away from her.

Caught in the act of an attempted stolen kiss.

Was she shameless?

Jane puffed her cheeks, trying to disguise her little action, her gaze drifting around, careful not to keep looking straight at James. Just as she was about to grab the quilt to cover herself, she suddenly felt a warmth on her cheek, and upon looking up, James’s kiss had already landed.

He kissed her cheek first, then moved to the corner of her mouth for another, before gently pecking her lips.

After kissing Jane Sampson, James Black lay back down on the pillow, chuckling softly, and tenderly rubbed her head with his broad palm, his voice laced with an unmistakable indulgence, ”In the future, if you want a kiss, you don’t have to sneak around.”

Jane felt as though she was floating, vaguely hearing what James said—yet not quite hearing it at all—but still she instinctively nodded.

James’s palm had now moved from her head to her waist, resting there lightly. Jane moved and slipped one hand across his waist, then tightly hugged it, rubbing her face against his chest once more.

James freed one hand to turn off the lamp. With the inside of the room darkened again, he could no longer see the little kitten-like person in his arms. He tugged at the quilt, covering Jane’s chest that was seeking the cool air, and then held her once more.

In this world, there always seems to be that one person who makes you relax your standards without a condition.

That notorious temper of yours? It never really shows up in front of her.

An inexplicable relationship.

James thought that perhaps this was the special treatment that a man is born to have for his wife.

Just as he had for Jane Sampson.

That sleep was extremely peaceful for Jane.

Not having the word ”work” looming large over her forehead, she slept until she naturally awoke.

Upon opening her eyes, the first thing Jane felt was the weighty hand on her waist, and turning her head toward the owner of the hand, she saw James was already awake and looking at her.

”Good morning!” Jane said with a smile to James, then, feeling guilty, stealthily started to withdraw her leg that was resting on his thigh.

James hugged her tightly, so her waking position was half atop him, and one leg, unbeknownst to her, had found its way onto his body.

Jane felt quite embarrassed; her sleeping posture never used to be so wild before.
