CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 335: Chapter 343: Wait for Me Five Minutes

However, the Alps candy that Jane Sampson bought was sweet, but not cloying.

The milk flavor was very strong.

The taste that came from her mouth was quite nice.

”I’m going to study the script now. If I don’t come out by 11 o’clock, remember to call me,” Jane Sampson said.

”Got plans to meet where? I’ll drive you over there,” James Black nodded at this moment.

As Jane Sampson talked about the place she’d arranged to meet, she headed back to the bedroom, still humming a tune along the way.

Saying she was going to read the script, Jane Sampson went back to her room and immediately climbed back into bed to continue the game she’d paused on her mobile phone. After quitting the game, she logged into WhatsApp and saw a message from Rock Bell. Jane Sampson opened it to take a look.

It was a voice message.

Jane, I just got news from the film crew. The second male lead has been confirmed. There’s a kissing scene in your script. You’ll need a position substitution. That actor doesn’t take on any kissing or intimate scenes, regardless of who his scene partner is. The crew asked me to tell you in advance so there won’t be any misunderstandings between the actors then.

After listening to the voice message, Jane Sampson was completely stunned.

So why did she just try to reason with James Black?

So why did she just get so angry with James Black that her entire insides felt like they were smoking?

Jane Sampson thought it over and forwarded the voice message to James Black, muttering, ”This guy should be relieved now, right?”

However, the thought of position substitution also eased Jane Sampson’s mind.

Since she became sensible, she’s only been kissed by James Black, and although it was for acting, the thought of an unfamiliar man kissing her face still made her quite nervous and brought up an indescribable emotion of discomfort.

Probably because James Black hadn’t checked his phone, he didn’t reply to any of her messages. Jane Sampson put down her phone and picked up the script to start reading it seriously.

This kind of drama was difficult for Jane Sampson, especially the emotional part.

Her restrained and reticent secret love had to be expressed through subtle expressions and gazes. This expression couldn’t be too direct; it couldn’t let people see through it at a glance, but it also couldn’t be so obscure that people couldn’t perceive her feelings for Windy Lancaster after watching for a long time.

This degree of secret affection was hard to grasp, especially for someone like Jane Sampson who had never had a crush or any experience with secret love.

At one o’clock, when James Black came to call Jane Sampson, he saw her scratching her head in frustration.

”Get ready, we’re leaving,” he said from the doorway.

”Oh, wait for me five minutes,” Jane Sampson quickly replied, then hurriedly climbed down from the bed and entered the cloakroom. She changed into the red dress she had previously selected at her fastest speed, then went to the dressing table to quickly apply air cushion, blush, and foundation to her face before swiping on the lipstick.

While she was doing her makeup, James Black had already changed and stood next to her, watching. She turned to smile at James Black and casually asked, ”Looks good, doesn’t it?”

James Black didn’t answer her but simply handed her her purse and urged her, ”Aren’t we going? Do you want to be late?”

”Extremely beautiful, it’s hard to discard natural beauty.” Not waiting for James Black’s compliment, Jane Sampson complimented herself before merrily taking the purse James Black was holding and followed him out of the door.

Jane Sampson arrived five minutes early, and after James Black dropped her off at the doorway and saw her get out of the car, he drove away.

Upon entering, Jane Sampson didn’t need anyone to guide her as she was familiar with the place and found the private room. She opened the door and saw both James Carter and Ms. Little already seated inside.
