CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 326: Chapter 334: My Waist Is Not Bad

Was she supposed to wait here for James Black’s return, then endure a scolding from him, or should she turn around and sneak back unnoticed?

Since James hadn’t caught her attempting to escape, she could avoid having to face his black face.

Of course, more importantly, standing alone in the elevator room waiting for James to return would make one look like an idiot.

In the end, Jane Sampson chose the former option, her left hand in her pocket as she headed back to where she had sneaked away from just now.

Only...

When Jane Sampson returned to the spot she’d sneaked away from at seven o’clock, she was stunned to find James Black standing there, watching her, and she quickly slammed on the brakes.

”Where have you been?” James’s voice was cool, obviously, he had been waiting for her for a while.

Jane’s eyes rolled quickly as she noticed someone running backward by her side and, with lightning-fast reflexes, she pointed behind her, ”I saw someone running backwards and thought it looked fun, so I tried it for a bit, didn’t find it fun, and ran back.”

Jane Sampson was practically ready to give herself a like for her quick thinking.

When it came to adaptability, if she, Jane Sampson, claimed to be second, no one would dare claim to be the first.

Seeing James not speaking, Jane asked in a quiet voice, tentatively, ”Do you want to try running backwards too?”

”I have a good waist,” James’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, ”you should know that.”

”???” Jane blinked her eyes, confused. What?

”Or do you think I still need to work on my core strength?” James took a big step forward, reached out his hand, and pulled Jane to his side, ”You want me to work on my core strength more?”

”Wait! Wait!” Jane was utterly baffled, ”Core strength? What core strength?”

She pointed behind her and asked, ”Running backward can exercise your core strength?”

”It can also work your spine,” James explained, ”Older people like to exercise by doing it backward.”

After saying this, James curled the corner of his mouth, ”You didn’t know? Huh, I thought you felt I wasn’t vigorous enough in bed and were suggesting I train my core strength more.”

”...” Why did the random excuse she found lead to such a huge misunderstanding by James?

If she had known that her probing words would lead him to such thoughts, Jane thought, she definitely would have kept quiet.

The ancients did not deceive her.

Most people die from talking too much.

”Pretend I didn’t say anything,” Jane’s face turned red with embarrassment, her gaze darting around. Luckily no one nearby could hear what James had just said, which allowed her to relax slightly.

After all, she still cared about her reputation.

However, what puzzled Jane was how on earth James had come up with that misunderstanding?

Didn’t he know his own capabilities?

Given his tendency to pick her up whenever he pleased, wasn’t he aware of his own strength?

Still talking about core strength?

At that time, she had even wanted to find some impotence medicine for James to take.

Not coming home was fine, but once home, she was inevitably tormented until half-dead by him; the stronger his waist, the more her poor little waist would suffer.

”Keep running,” James said, gently pushing Jane in front of him. Then, with one hand, he grabbed the hood of Jane’s jacket and directed, ”You run ahead.”

Jane glanced at the hood on her clothes and responded with an ”Oh.” She waited a few seconds, and seeing that James had no intention of letting go, she reluctantly continued to run.

Jane was running slowly, but James was patient, not urging her at all. She was slow, so he matched her pace, maintaining a step behind her throughout.
