I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 652: Chapter 651

”At that moment, my brother hesitated for a bit but then decided to suck out the snake venom. Of course, I was unwilling. At first, I could resist, but as the toxin intensified, my whole body lost strength. I watched helplessly as my brother leaned over my leg to suck out the snake venom, and then... then the blood vessels under his skin just burst!”

Beidewang looked terrified, clutching his head and sobbing painfully.

He pulled out memories that had been buried for many years, as if they were still before his eyes. This event was engraved in his heart, marking the beginning of his nightmare—it was also the reason he could ruthlessly carry his newborn ten-day-old daughter to the mountaintop to throw her off the cliff.

Luo Xudong involuntarily stood in front of Beisitian.

Beisitian grabbed his hand and shook her head, indicating that it’s healthier for Beidewang to vent like this rather than keeping it bottled up inside.

Once Beidewang had cried enough, he wiped his face and looked at the ground with reddened eyes, saying, ”I’m already a person full of sins. I killed my own brother; I wouldn’t mind killing my daughter either. At that moment, I thought about jumping off with my second child. At that moment, I didn’t think about anything else—not even about leaving a woman and a child in this world. I just knew that if I only threw the child off, I’d go crazy. I couldn’t survive even a day, but then Mei Jun desperately stopped me, threatened to jump together, so I had to abandon that thought!”

Beidewang looked desolate, thinking of Mei Jun. She died from depression all because he told her the truth, told her the cause and effect between her two children.

Originally, he thought about completely separating the two children, never letting them meet in their lifetime. He had found out that the village was situated on an 800-meter cliff where women and children weren’t allowed to descend, and even when the second child grew up, he wouldn’t be allowed down. Meanwhile, the eldest would live in Kao Village, following him, the ’old Chinese doctor’, living the life of an ordinary person, getting married, having children, living as an ordinary person!

Beidewang knew that Mei Jun would secretly go to see the second child frequently, but he pretended not to know just to prevent Mei Jun from bottling up problems in her heart. But in the end, Mei Jun was still pushed to death by him, by his family, by the disease!

He knew Mei Jun feared the same thing happening to the children that happened to him. As a parent, just the thought of it made one want to go crazy. And such things were bound to happen sooner or later. But Mei Jun couldn’t forget her child. She thought, she thought every day, and whenever she saw Beisitian, she would think of Bei Jiale.

But she had to desperately restrain her urge to see Bei Jiale, especially as the child grew day by day, becoming more sensible, she couldn’t let them know that they still had a sibling. But Mei Jun couldn’t leave Beisitian home alone, so once she started becoming sensible, she could only temporarily leave her at a neighbor’s house and sneak off to see Bei Jiale.

Bit by bit, Tian Meijun fell into depression, thinking about the future living like this, especially when the kids grew older, fearing she couldn’t go even once anymore, lest she arouse their suspicion, arouse their curiosity, which would lead to trouble.

”Mei Jun marrying me brought her much suffering. She actually knew about the Bei Family’s problems early on, but I didn’t dare to say it clearly. Plus, since our first child wasn’t twins, I thought maybe I hadn’t inherited this disease...” Beidewang cried once more.

These memories had weighed on him for so many years, fermenting into something unrecognizable, and now with all of it pouring out, his emotions began spiraling out of control.

Beisitian’s face changed slightly. So, she thought, before her and Bei Jiale, was there another child?

”What did you mean just now, was there another child before us? Where is he now?” Beisitian asked.

Beidewang’s eyes were already swollen, and upon hearing this, he sighed, ”Gone.”

If he wasn’t gone, he and Mei Jun wouldn’t have had another child, and this time it hit the jackpot, giving birth to twins. No one could understand the depth of despair he felt in that moment.

”Could you tell me about it?” Beisitian felt this matter might be highly relevant, because she always felt there were secrets Beidewang hadn’t shared; otherwise, he wouldn’t have faked his death.

Beidewang remained silent for a while, looking at Beisitian, seeing her eyes bright and full, and he felt deeply that she was no longer the little girl in Kao Village naively calling for her father with a runny nose. Now, she was smart and wise, prepared for many things, sharply observant of many details.

Perhaps telling her would be better for her.

”You and your second brother have an elder brother. We lived in Fujian then. Though the Tian Family didn’t support your mother’s marriage to me, your mother still went to live there with me. Back then, the three of us lived happily until we met those people.”

Beidewang’s face held coldness, ”Later, he was abducted.”

If it had only been that, Beidewang wouldn’t have such a murderous expression.

”The people who abducted him were a group of Mystic Doctors, specializing in making venomous concoctions. To create more potent venomous concoctions, they continually abducted children full of spirit from various places as ingredients.”

So the real eldest child, Beisitian’s brother, had been made into a venomous concoction by those people as a medicinal ingredient for harming others.

Thus, when that child was dying, he must have endured inhuman treatment: first being forced to ingest deadly toxins, and when barely alive, all his toxic blood would be drained to collect. Consequently, he would die from excessive blood loss. The process was very lengthy, but extremely painful!

No wonder Beidewang bore such hatred!

Beisitian’s expression turned a bit vacant. Even though she had never met that brother, hearing how his life ended, she too felt sadness and indignation.

”At the time, we were incapable of fighting that group, and once they set their sights on me and Mei Jun, we had to temporarily flee far away, finding a remote but not isolated village. It was then we discovered Mei Jun was pregnant again.”

Beidewang lifted his head, his face blank, ”Back then, due to the pregnancy, Mei Jun temporarily pulled away from the tragedy of the eldest’s death. She said she would pull herself together for the sake of the child, but little did she know that it was the start of another nightmare.”

”After Mei Jun left, I didn’t see much point in living. But the eldest’s revenge wasn’t fulfilled yet. With my departure, you’d have nobody. I thought of finding a woman who could care for you; just didn’t expect...” He paused, unwilling to speak more of Du Chunmei, ”When you were twelve, I thought the time was ripe—I had obtained sufficient information from various sources about those people, and wanted to avenge the eldest just then an incident occurred with the second child.”
