Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 1543: Chapter 899: Agreement Reached

”Hmph, I don’t care, anyway, the feeling you give me is unwilling, I’m taking back what I said just now...” Luo Ye twists her body, trying to struggle free, but it causes trouble for Ye Xuan, ”Ye’er, don’t make a fuss...”

”Who’s making a fuss...” Luo Ye’s movements stop abruptly, embarrassedly burying her head, ”You... let go of me, let me sit properly.”

”Mm.” Ye Xuan responds sullenly, gently placing her onto the sofa, holding her shoulder, just sitting quietly like that.

Luo Ye pokes him, deliberately asking, ”Are you mad?”

”You...” Ye Xuan helplessly rubs her head, ”You obviously know what’s wrong with me, yet you play dumb with me, keep playing...”

”What happens if I keep playing?” Luo Ye fearlessly leans forward, ”Keep playing and you want to strangle me, don’t you? Huh?”

”Of course, I wouldn’t have the heart to strangle you...” This kind of teasing, if he can control himself, he wouldn’t be a man!

He swiftly picks her up, placing her on his lap properly, his lips impatiently covering her soft lips, sucking in her sweetness... amidst the dizziness, his hand unconsciously reaches into her chest, holding that tender softness, his already dizzy head becomes even more confused about the current year.

Luo Ye isn’t any better off than him, the two have never been this intimate since they met, she just feels a wave of heat rising from her lower abdomen, making her unconsciously want to stick closer to him.

Having experienced two lifetimes, she doesn’t want to control or suppress herself, following her feelings and intentions, gently wrapping around his neck, allowing his rough fingertips to circle around her chest repeatedly, a shivering sensation and a soft moan unconsciously escaping her throat...

He becomes even more excited, unable to restrain himself, gets up holding her to the bedside, the moment he puts her down, his expression freezes, ”Ye’er, I’m sorry.” Then he quickly runs out.

After this chaos, Luo Ye also comes to her senses, lying on the bed ashamed, pounding the mattress with her fists, ”Fool, fool, fool...”

”Ye’er, are you saying I’m a fool or you’re a fool?” At some point, Ye Xuan returns to the room, unexpectedly asking, startling Luo Ye to sit up, ”You... you left, didn’t you?”

”I just cooled down at the door...” Ye Xuan says as he approaches the bed, staring into Luo Ye’s eyes, ”Let’s see if you dare to provoke me again.”

”Provoke you...” Thinking of the loss of control just now, Luo Ye still swallows back her words, planning to get married, both are perfectionists, everything should wait until things naturally fall into place.

”Tomorrow, just inform the elders.” This time, Ye Xuan uses a definitive sentence.

”Okay, they’ve been looking forward to this day for a long time.” Luo Ye lightly sighs, comes forward to hook his neck, ”You must treat me well in the future, be good to me for a lifetime.”

”That’s for sure, does it even need to be said?” Ye Xuan looks at her tenderly, ”I not only want your lifetime, I want many lifetimes.”

Luo Ye smiles with bent eyebrows, nodding, ”Alright, as long as you treat me well, I’ll be with you for many lifetimes.”

A woman meeting a man she loves and who deeply loves her at the right time is immense happiness, even if she relives her life, Luo Ye would still think so.

In the past life, she saw too many excellent girls remaining single due to not finding suitable men, though they claimed to not care, during festive seasons or family urging, the loneliness and helplessness couldn’t be shared.

In this country, there’s always a lack of understanding on this aspect, living in this environment, no one can remain completely independent.

Therefore, she thinks, being able to meet the right person at the right time and successfully overcoming her tribulations is really great fortune.

”Ye’er...” Ye Xuan’s eyes are full of delight as he looks at her, ”Have you overcome the hurdle in your heart? Can you fully accept me now?”

”Just realized?” Luo Ye rolls her eyes speechlessly at him, ”You thought I was the type to pretend? I can’t believe you.”

”That’s great!” Ye Xuan, excited, wants to howl a few times, but it’s deep into the night and they’re at the Wen Mansion, so he doesn’t dare, only spins around several times in the room.

”The bathroom is to your right front.” Luo Ye suddenly says.

”I’m not going to the bathroom.”

Luo Ye seriously nods, ”Oh, whenever Song Qiu goes to the bathroom, he makes a few circles, I thought you learned from him.”

Ye Xuan realizes he’s been teased, chuckles and taps her forehead, ”Alright, I’ll let you go today, hurry and sleep, there are a whole lot of big things to do tomorrow.”

”Just telling the elders...” Luo Ye pouts, ”You’re exaggerating.”

”Inform the elders, check the auspicious date for registration and marriage, have the house prepared for the new room, arrange the courtyard, prepare to take wedding photos, and buy various wedding supplies...”

”Okay, okay...” Luo Ye interrupts him, ”These won’t all be done by you, just a phone call to notify them.”

”I must personally be involved, it’s my wedding, of course I want to be involved.” Ye Xuan speaks as he heads outside without looking back, ”Hurry up and sleep, girls shouldn’t stay up late.”

Luo Ye: ”...”

How did he become so domineering in just the blink of an eye? Could it be that after marriage, she would be completely controlled by him?

Just a moment ago, he was so careful, afraid she wouldn’t want him, and now, he’s a completely different person?

She regretted it, regretted proposing to him, and she thought about backing out. But after chasing him to the door, she reconsidered and stepped back.

Her lips curled up playfully; this seemed not so bad. Having someone dare to treat her this way seemed pretty good. All along, everyone was always afraid she’d be the slightest bit dissatisfied, always accommodating her, letting her have her way, and this way of interacting... actually made her feel a bit fresh.

However, he was able to control himself in that situation; is he even human? Or rather, is he really a man? If he really loves her as much as he says, how much courage must he have to control himself in that situation?

Moreover, those teasing actions he made toward her, how... how does he understand a woman’s body response so well? No way, she definitely has to interrogate him!

”Oh, what am I thinking? Sleep!” Luo Ye smacked her muddled brain in frustration, pushing herself to enter dreamland...

While she was sweetly sleeping, Ye Xuan was so excited that he tossed and turned all night, and when morning came, he was still wide-eyed with no trace of sleepiness.

Happiness had come too suddenly, and he wasn’t mentally prepared.

Watching the time reach five, he simply got up and went to the courtyard for a run. After exercising and taking a shower, it was only half-past six. According to routine, Grandpa wouldn’t get up until six forty-five, but he couldn’t wait any longer. He threw on a coat and strode to the courtyard where Grandpa lived.

”Good morning, Young Master Xuan,” Nanny Lu was sweeping the yard and stopped her actions quickly to greet Ye Xuan when she saw him come in.

”Morning,” Ye Xuan responded as he walked inside.

”Young Master Xuan...” Nanny Lu hurriedly stopped him, ”Grandpa had a stomach upset the night before last. Please let him sleep a little longer.”

Ye Xuan nodded: ”Okay, I’ll sit in the hall and wait for him. By the way, Nanny Lu, your son and his family are coming over today, right?”

”Yes, they won’t arrive until near noon. I’m not in a hurry.”

”I’ve already arranged a car for you; I’ll go with you to pick them up when they arrive. In the coming days, relax and show them around.”

”Thank you, Young Master Xuan.” Nanny Lu hesitated for a moment, then stammered, ”Young Master Xuan, could you... could you let them come in and have a look around?”

Ye Xuan furrowed his brows slightly as he stared at her: ”Didn’t Great Grandpa discuss this with you? Furthermore, Nanny Lu, do you think it’s appropriate for me to make decisions on this matter?”

”I’m sorry!” Nanny Lu lowered her head, making her expression unclear, ”Young Master Xuan, please pretend I didn’t say it. Actually, I know my request is unreasonable.

Yesterday, Grandpa made it very clear. I... I’m really being foolish. Please don’t hold it against me, and please don’t tell Grandpa, okay?”

”Nanny Lu, you’re not someone without sense. Is it your son and daughter-in-law pushing you?”

”No, no...” Nanny Lu shook her hand repeatedly, ”I already called my son and daughter-in-law yesterday and refused their request to tour the Wen Mansion.

It’s my granddaughter Xiying who wants to bring her fiancé over to have a look. I said no, but the kid pleaded with me to ask Young Master Xuan again.

Xiying’s fiancé’s family is in the jewelry business and has always looked down on her. She wants to use this opportunity to make a good impression on her future in-laws.

I know this request is unreasonable, but I only have this one granddaughter. Regardless of whether it will work out, at least as her grandmother, I’ve tried my best and won’t feel guilty.”

Ye Xuan’s face darkened, completely understanding Grandpa’s words about not holding any ceremonies regardless of the outcome with Nanny Lu.

If a ceremony were indeed held and the Lu Family’s relatives made demands, could he not fulfill them? The Ye Family is originally restless; adding another family of relatives, who knows what would happen?

”Young Master Xuan...” Nanny Lu’s face grew panicked, ”Please don’t be angry, I didn’t mean anything by it, just... just said it spontaneously.” Her voice choked as she got to the end.

”Nanny Lu, it seems you’re tired of being around me,” Grandpa frowned tightly as he walked out of the bedroom.

”Great Grandpa, you’re up.” Ye Xuan quickly stood up to help him sit in the wicker chair.

Nanny Lu, on the other hand, ”thud” dropped to her knees, ”Grandpa, I want to stay by your side to serve you for the rest of my life, you can’t drive me away, I beg you...”
