Chapter 2585: Chapter 2585: Nurse Shin Teng’s Story

Nurse Shin Teng scoffed. ”Don’t mean to do that? Are you hearing what you say?”

Nurse Liang Xiuying stepped forward and kicked the middle-aged woman. The middle-aged woman fell down.

”Spare your son? Keep dreaming, you old hag.” Nurse Liang Xiuying said.

”Ignore her. Let’s pack up. We are going to leave.” Yu Qi said.

”Hmm...” Everyone agreed.

They packed up everything. The villagers were just watching them. Maybe there were some villagers who did not know the plan yesterday. But everything was exposed.

The village leader came over, wanting to talk things out, but the team refused. The village leader probably knew about the plan as well since it involved his wife and son.

They packed so fast. They gathered everything in front of the village and waited for the bus to arrive. They did not want to stay inside the village anymore, even though the day was so sunny. They were willing to stay there and just use the umbrellas. The villagers offered them some food.

”No need. I don’t dare to eat the food that you make. Who knows what’s inside it? I don’t want to fall unconscious again.” Nurse Liang Xiuying retorted.

The villagers’ faces flushed red. They backed off.

Yu Qi went to talk to the leader of the armoured people.

”Transfer them to the police station.” Yu Qi said.

”I understand.” The leader of the armoured people nodded.

Yu Qi walked away. The village leader sawthat Yu Qi was alone, wanting to talk to him. He thought Yu Qi was easy to persuade.

”Doctor Tang, please forgive us. We know we are wrong. We promise that we will never do something like this again.” The village leader begged Yu Qi.

”No.” Yu Qi just said one word and wanted to leave.

The village leader saw that Yu Qi wanted to leave and tried to grab Yu Qi’s leg. He would not let Yu Qi go if she did not agree to his request. However, Yu Qi was fast. She avoided the village leader’s hand. Without saying anything, Yu Qi walked away.

The bus arrived. They got into the bus after lifting everything into it.

Yu Qi sat beside Nurse Shin Teng.

”I thought they had changed. Never thought they would be the same.” Nurse Shin Teng looked at the village.

”Hmm...” Yu Qi just responded to that.

”You know what? My mother was trafficked there. She was married to an old bachelor. That old bachelor was my father. My mother gave birth to me after being married to that old bachelor. However, that old bachelor was super angry at my mother because she gave birth to a daughter. That old bachelor wanted a son to carry on the family line.

He tried to give me away, but my mother found out about that. She threatened the old bachelor that she would kill herself if the old bachelor tried to give me away again. The old bachelor did not want my mother to die because he did not have the money to buy another wife. So, he forced my mother to try to get pregnant again and again. However, due to his old age, he could no longer get my mother pregnant.

Because of that, he liked to beat me up. My mother saw everything and protected me. It continued until I was 6 years old. Suddenly, that old bachelor had a heart attack. He died. You know what? That was the happiest day of my life.

We moved away from that village. My mother worked so hard, taking care of me. When someone asked me about my father, I told them that I did not have a father. Some people would give my mother and me a strange look, but I don’t care. My life was comfortable without a father.

I don’t think they tried to force themselves on us. Wanting to rape us, forcing us to be their wives. Did they think we were hopeless, like some women back then who just accepted our fate?” Nurse Shin Teng opened up her story.

”No... We will fight for our rights.” Yu Qi stated.

”That’s right. I will not be forgiving to those who wrong me.” Nurse Shin Teng said.

”Hmm... We will sue them.” Yu Qi stated.

The bus brought them to the nearby hospital. The items that they brought, such as the medicine, would be stored in the hospital for a few days. As for the team, they checked into a nearby hotel.

At dinner, they had dinner together. The person in charge also came to discuss the matter.

”So, what is your plan after this?” The person in charge asked the team’s opinion.

He did not want to force the participants to stay in the program if they did not want to.

”I will continue.” Yu Qi stated.

”Yes, I will continue, too.” Nurse Liang Xiuying stated.

Everyone looked at each other and also nodded.

”Yes. We will not stop just because of one incident.” Doctor Duan Jiang stated.

”We just need to be careful next time.” Nurse Guo Liqiu nodded.

The person in charge was relieved when he heard that.

”Let’s hire some people to take care of our. They will be cooking.” Yu Qi stated.

”Huh... That...” The person in charge hesitated.

”I will cover the expenses. You just need to find the people.” Yu Qi stated.

The person in charge was surprised. ”Are you sure about that?”
