Chapter 2568: Chapter 2568: Poisonous Flower

”Yes.” Old Man Ming nodded.

”Can you bring it to me?” Yu Qi asked.

”Yes... Yes... I will go and get them.” Old Man Ming nodded.

He rushed over and brought in the item that he and his wife brought back from hiking in the mountains.

Old Man Ming brought the flower and showed it to Yu Qi. It was a beautiful flower.

”Did your wife always touch it before she fell ill?” Yu Qi asked again.

”Yes.” Old Man Ming nodded.

”How about you? Do you often touch it?” Yu Qi asked.

”No...” Old Man Ming shook his head.

”No wonder. To tell you the truth, this flower is poisonous. The poison transfers into your wife’s body through touching. As you just said earlier, your wife often touched it before she fell ill.” Yu Qi explained.

”What?” Old Man Ming was shocked. ”Then, can my wife be cured?” That was what he wanted to know at the moment.

”I will prepare the medicine for it. Can I borrow your kitchen? The herbs need to be prepared hot.” Yu Qi said.

”Yes... Yes...” Old Man Ming nodded.

”I will take care of this flower too.” Yu Qi pointed at the flower.

”Yes, please.” Old Man Ming nodded.

He did not dare to get closer to the flower anymore. Because of his ignorance, his wife fell ill. Of course, he did not want to keep the flower anymore. If his wife asked for the flower, he would tell the truth. He was sure that his wife would understand that.

Old Man Ming took Yu Qi to their kitchen. The kitchen still used wood to cook. Old Man Ming lit up the fire without any delay.

”You can go and clean your wife. After I boil the medicine, I will apply acupuncture to her.” Yu Qi stated.

”Yes, Doctor.” Old Man Ming nodded.

He really believed in Yu Qi right now. Only Yu Qi could diagnose what happened to his wife.

Of course, only Yu Qi could diagnose what happened to his wife because this poison was from the cultivation world. It would not exist in the outside world.

Actually, the flower was not that poisonous, but only to the cultivator. The Qi in the cultivator’s body would act like a protector against this poison. If a normal human being were exposed to the flower for a long time, the situation would be the same as Old Madam Ming. The poison would slowly destroy the body.

Yu Qi took out some herbs that she needed from the bag. Well, the bag was just a medium. The herbs were from Sere. Only the herbs from Sere or the cultivation world could be used before they had Qi.

Yu Qi immediately prepared the herbs and boiled them together. After 25 minutes, the medicine was done. She returned to the room. Old Man Ming wiped his wife’s body gently. It really showed how much love he was toward his wife.

”Doctor.” Old Man Ming noticed Yu Qi.

”Is she awake?” Yu Qi asked.

”Yes.” Old Man Ming nodded. ”My dear, open your eyes. The doctor is here to help you.”

”Why are you still wasting your money calling the doctor?” Old Madam Ming scolded Old Man Ming in a weak tone.

”Madam Ming, I am here under a charity program. Your husband did not waste his money calling me here.” Yu Qi said.

”Even so, I don’t think I am going to survive.” Old Madam Ming seemed to have already given up her life.

”No... No... Doctor Tang is good. She already checked on you and knows what makes you like this.” Old Man Ming explained.

”What? Really?” Old Madam Ming was surprised.

”Yes, Madam. You had been poisoned by the flower.” Yu Qi stated.

”That’s right. The flower that you always admired.” Old Man Ming added.

”Then... Then... Can I be cured?” Old Madam Ming felt hopeful.

”Of course. I am here to help you regarding that matter.” Yu Qi nodded. She showed the medicine. ”You need to drink this.”

Old Man Ming was shocked to see how black the medicine was. ”So black.” He commented.

Old Madam Ming did not think much about that. She had tried a lot of medicine before.

”You need to drink this medicine for three days. One in the morning and another one at night. I have prepared a portion for tonight as well. I will come back to prepare for the next one tomorrow morning.” Yu Qi stated.

”I only have to drink this medicine, and I will be fine?” Old Madam Ming asked.

”After drinking the medicine in the morning, I will apply the acupuncture to your body. It will force the poison out of your body.” Yu Qi explained the treatment.

”I see. Give me the medicine. I will drink it.” Old Madam Ming said.

”Let me help you with that. You can not hold the bowl.” Old Man Ming took the bowl from Yu Qi.

”Let me use the straw. It is much easier.” Old Madam Ming said.

Old Man Ming followed his wife’s suggestion and took a straw and let his wife drink the medicine through the straw. Old Madam Ming was surprised when the medicine touched her taste buds. It was not bitter like other medicines. It was good. She drank faster.

”How is it? Is it bitter?” Old Man Ming asked.

”No... It is actually quite good.” Old Madam Ming stated.
