Chapter 2401: Fired In Disgrace

”The second recording is from someone else. There were a lot of people around. The woman was somehow famous in the Binhai Nation. So, a lot of people watched the scene and decided to record it. They even uploaded the video to the internet.” James Culvin stated.

Shao Fa became paler compared to earlier.

President Smith frowned. ”Shao Fa, do you have anything to say about that?”

”Father, do we need to listen to this anymore? It is pretty obvious what happened there.” Alex Smith scoffed. He turned to James Culvin. ”Have you already fired him?”

”Yes. He comes over because he is dissatisfied with my decision.” James Culvin stated.

”Oh... So, do you want to stay longer or leave in dignity?” Alex Smith curved his lips.

”I just...” Shao Fa wanted to plead more for his case.

”If you want to ask us to consider, you should know that we can sue you for losing this deal.” Alex Smith gave the final blow to Shao Fa.

Shao Fa was shocked. He could not handle it if he got sued by the company. Even though he tried to fight, there was no way that he could win the lawsuit.

”So, which one that you choose?” Alex Smith smiled.

”I will leave.” Shao Fa said.

”Great. You are making the right choice. Donʼt forget that you already signed the NDA, so you canʼt work in the same industry after this.” James Culvin reminded Shao Fa.

Shao Fa remembered that clause when he first signed the agreement at 15 years old. He thought he would retire in his old age after working in this company. Never thought he would let go at this age. If he wanted to start working in another industry, he would need to start from the bottom, just like the young folk.

How embarrassing that was. Then, when they asked about why he just started working in this industry, he would not explain the whole thing, adding more embarrassment to it.

However, Shao Fa refused to admit it was his fault. He blamed that woman for everything. If she had just accepted his invitation, none of these would have happened. The more he thought, the more he felt it was her fault.

James Culvin told Shao Fa to collect his belongings since he was here. James Culvin did not think Shao Fa would come and make a scene that caught President Smithʼs attention.

Shao Fa went to his desk and collected his belongings. He could hear the whisper among his colleagues, maybe they were making speculation as why he was fired.

To be honest, Shao Fa was not a likeable coworker among the women, especially the younger ones. Most of them hated Shao Fa because he often made many inappropriate comments about the women, especially about their bodies. They wanted to retort, but Shao Faʼs seniority at the company made them hesitate to do so. They were afraid it would come and bite them. However, they were happy that finally Shao Fa would be leaving the company.

”That old man finally got fired. I am so happy.”

”Yes. He flirted with other women with that face. He should take a look at the mirror.”

”I never need to avoid walking, passing his desk ever again.”

”Do you know the reason he was fired?”

”Donʼt know.”

”If you know about that, donʼt hide it.”

”Yeah. Tell us.”

”I heard Mr Culvin sent him to Binhai Nation to secure a contract with a company over there. But because of his inappropriate behaviour, the company over there refused to collaborate with our company.”

”What kind of inappropriate behaviour are you talking about?”

”Donʼt you know about him?”

”You mean he had done sexual harassment to the employee in that company?”

”Not the employee but the chairwoman of that company.”

”Wow... How stupid.”

”Indeed stupid. He is already married and has children. Why doesnʼt he think about his family before he does something like that?”

”We will never understand what an old pervert like him is thinking.”

”The upper management must be angry because of that.”

”Of course, they do. It was a multi-million dollar corporation.”

”The company did not know his true nature before. That is why they sent him over.”

”Even so, why does an old man like him say something sexual to a stranger?”

”I think he thought he was a good-looking old man.”

”If that is called good looking, then I donʼt know what the true good looking is.”

”He is leaving, and the air is much cleaner.”

”Thatʼs right.”

The women were about to leave and saw Shao Fa behind them. They were surprised, but they composed themselves. They looked at Shao Fa once and walked passed Shao Fa.

Shao Fa gritted his teeth when he listened to their conversation. It was not his fault. It was their fault. Who told them to wear something like that to come to the office?

Those womenʼs attire was not sexy or anything. Those were the normal office attire, not like someone who wanted to go to the nightclub. Shao Faʼs mindset was very backwards.

Shao Fa left the companyʼs building. He was jobless at age 50 years old. He needed to search for another job. Otherwise, what did he have to say to his wife? He would not admit that he had been fired. Neither did he want to admit that he had been fired because he had flirted with the wrong person.

So, he was planning to act like he was going to work every morning until he found another job.
