Chapter 2397: Return To His Beloved Qi Qi

Long Hui finally managed to catch the person behind the smuggling weapon activity. He and his team traced the names that Cai Cheng gave. After they found them, they did not catch them right away.

Long Hui and his team knew that these two men were just underlings for someone. Long Hui and his team followed them. Long Hui and his team discovered that they had connections to one of the biggest gangs in Binhai Nation. This gang had connections with some politicians. Maybe that was why they dared to play big.

Long Hui was not scared of the gang and those politicians. The highest authority in his country was President and that person was on Long Huiʼs side.

The gang felt that the weapons that they smuggled were not enough. They wanted to do it again, smuggling a huge quantity of weapons. So, they called Cai Cheng to order it. Cai Cheng agreed.

Of course, that person was one of Long Huiʼs men. Long Hui knew that they would not stop smuggling activity.

It was not Long Huiʼs only plan to catch the gang. He asked other people to investigate the gang business too. Even though they were a gang, they still had legit business upfront. Long Hui wanted to know if they misconducted any regulations. If they found that evidence on that side, they would catch the gang.

After doing these for one month, Long Hui and his team managed to gather enough evidence to arrest the gang. They were quiet because they did not want the leader of the gang flew out the country. If he managed to fly out, it would be difficult to arrest him. They would have to contact the country that he flew into and asked their cooperation to arrest him. If that happened, it would be a bad image for the country.

Long Hui ordered the soldiers to make the arrest simultaneously. They also cooperated with the local policemen to arrest the gang members. Long Hui led a team to go and arrest the leader of the gang. Long Hui chose night time to arrest the leader.

The leader of the gang was Su Mengho. He was 54 years old. When Su Mengho was in his family, Long Hui and his team barged into his house and arrested Su Mengho on the spot.

His son tried to intervene the arrest. His son thought they did not come to catch him. Unfortunately, his son was also in the list. So, Long Hui arrested his son too. Hundred of the men were being arrested at the same day.

Since it was the biggest arrest, the news covered it. The reporters tried to interview Long Hui but he refused it. He sent Ren Qian Yi to deal with the reporters.

Long Hui had another important job to do. He needed to report everything to President Hai. The battle was still not over. As in the report, the gang had some connections with the politicians. The politicians would aware of Su Menghoʼs arrest and would try to stick their hands to help Su Mengho.

President Hai immediately issued the warning to the politicians that he would oversee this case. Otherwise, they would need to answer to him. The politicians who were willing to help Su Mengho earlier, pulled back their hands and kept silent.

The prosecutors began to take the case. If Su Mengho was convicted, he would face a death penalty. The prosecutors felt that they would win the case with the compile evidences.

Long Hui and his team finally could take some time off. Of course Long Hui returned as quickly as possible. He missed his beloved Qi Qi.

He knew that Yu Qi must be at the hospital at the moment. So, he returned home first. He cleaned up and dressed a little bit before going out again. He bought some sweets for her and drove to the hospital.

He did not expect to see someone that he despised, talking to his beloved Qi Qi.

Bai Shu Jin stopped Yu Qi out her room.

”Miss Tang... Thank you for convince your family to accept my brother to be admitted into the hospital after what happened.” Bai Shu Jin thanked Yu Qi.

”It is not my decision. It is my uncleʼs decision.” Yu Qi said.

”Even so, without you, your uncle might not allow my brother to be admitted here.” Bai Shu Jin kept strolling to that direction.

”Whatever... Can I go now?” Yu Qi said, already feeling annoyed.

Yu Qi held back herself from punching Bai Shu Jin. If he kept gave his face for her to punch, she might do it and he might lose several teeth.

”Wait, can we talk about something else?” Bai Shu Jin asked.

”No.” Yu Qi instantly answered it.

Yu Qi did not care anymore and wanted to leave. Bai Shu Jin tried to grab Yu Qiʼs hand. However, he had someone shoved him away. It was so strong and he hit the wall.

”Brother Hui!” Yu Qiʼs excited voice could be heard.

Yu Qi rushed to hug Long Hui. Long Hui caught Yu Qi while his eyes were looking at Bai Shu Jin.

”Why did you not call me about this?” Yu Qi asked exictedly.

She already forgot about Bai Shu Jin.

”I want to surprise you. But never thought I was the one who got the surprised.” Long Hui stated.
