Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 250 Lin Chenran: How about a light aircraft carrier?Chapter 250 Lin Chenran: How about a light aircraft carrier?
With a smile on his face, Lin Chenran enthusiastically introduced Pan Xueming, the chief designer of the Aegis missile destroyer, to Abdul.

Pan Xueming was wearing a neat work suit, looking focused and serious, revealing a sense of professionalism and confidence.

Pan Xueming cleared his throat and began to carefully introduce the export version of the Aegis missile destroyer in detail to the representatives from Saudi Arabia in the Camel region present.

He started with the overall design concept of the ship and gradually explained in detail its various advanced technologies and unique performance.

As Pan Xueming gave an in-depth and easy-to-understand introduction, the members of the Saudi delegation from the Camel Region listened with fascination, their eyes flashing with excitement and surprise from time to time.

They had only heard a little about this new type of warship, but through Pan Xueming’s vivid description, they seemed to have witnessed with their own eyes the majestic and awe-inspiring posture of the Aegis missile destroyer galloping across the sea.

After a wonderful introduction, the members of the Saudi delegation in the Camel Region had a clearer and more intuitive understanding of the Aegis missile destroyer.

They couldn’t help but marvel at the powerful strength demonstrated by this battleship, and a strong desire surged in their hearts, wishing they could purchase it back to their country immediately to equip their own naval forces.

The Aegis missile destroyer does indeed have outstanding performance that is not inferior to the top missile destroyers of other major powers.

It performs extremely well in terms of attack power, air defense capability, anti-missile capability and defense against torpedo attacks.

Even the missile destroyers of the militarily powerful United States and Russia may not have an absolute advantage in front of this type of warship.

Faced with such advanced Aegis missile destroyers, the delegation from Saudi Arabia in the Camel Region could not help but marvel at the rapid development of Yan State’s shipbuilding industry.

Two years ago, they had questioned whether Yan State could build first-class warships for them because Yan State did not have top-notch shipbuilding technology at the time.

However, times have changed, and the results presented before them today have completely overturned their past cognition.

As the saying goes, ”When you meet someone after three days, you should look at him with new eyes.”

……

Abdul and his companions did not make a hasty decision. After careful consideration, they made a special request to Lin Chenran - they hoped to see the Aegis missile destroyer with their own eyes.

It would be best to be able to board the Yan State Navy’s ”Linjiang” Aegis missile destroyer, and if possible, arrange a test experiment.

This request may seem simple, but it actually involves many complex factors.

Hearing Abdul’s words, Lin Chenran couldn’t help but frowned, with a trace of embarrassment on his face: ”Abdul, you really make me feel very difficult and embarrassed!”

He paused for a moment, then continued, ”If you just want to see the Aegis missile destroyer that is under construction, then after this meeting is over, I can take you there in person.”

”But if you want to see the Aegis missile destroyer that is already in service in our navy, that is not so easy.” Having said that, Lin Chenran shook his head slightly.

For such highly confidential and strategically important military equipment, access and observation by outsiders are usually strictly restricted.

Want to see?
Add money! ! !

As long as you give enough bribes, everything will be easy.

Abdul and others seemed to have anticipated this. They knew very well that as long as Lin Chenran did not flatly refuse on the spot, it meant there was still room for negotiation.

They have dealt with Lin Chenran many times and know the ins and outs of it well.

As long as you give enough ”bribe”, he can help you get it done.

”Lin, you can rest assured. As long as you can arrange for us to board the Linjiang Aegis missile destroyer of your Yan Kingdom Navy for a visit, we in the Sand Kingdom will never let you suffer any loss.”

As Abdul spoke, he winked at Lin Chenran, suggesting that he would give a generous reward in exchange for this rare opportunity.

It was as if to say, if you let us board the ”Linjiang” Aegis missile destroyer for a visit, we in the Camel region will give you a ”reward” for free. Lin Chenran frowned, still with an embarrassed look on his face, but his tone was obviously relaxed: ”Abdul, this matter is indeed a bit tricky, but considering our many years of friendship, I will do my best to fight for it!”

Lin Chenran continued, ”Once this meeting is over, I will immediately sort out the relevant information and report it to my superiors, but I cannot guarantee the final result...”

At this point, Lin Chenran paused, looked at everyone present, and then helplessly spread his hands and continued: ”Everyone here knows that our country has too many old warships.”

”At present, the only ship that can truly play a role and support the important task of coastal defense is the Linjiang-class Aegis missile destroyer.”

”Except for a short break during regular maintenance, the Linjiang-class Aegis missile destroyer has to go out on patrol most of the time to protect our country’s vast sea borders.”

Hearing this, Abdul, who had been staring at Lin Chenran, finally relaxed his tense nerves a little. He smiled and responded, ”No problem, I know you can do it.”

At the same time, the members of the Saudi delegation in the Camel Region who were sitting next to Abdul also relaxed their faces as if a heavy burden had been lifted off their shoulders.

There was a gleam of anticipation in their eyes and the corners of their mouths rose unconsciously.

……

The introduction of the Aegis missile destroyer has been completed, and the highlight is next.

Lin Chenran: ”Abdul, do you want a light aircraft carrier in Saudi Arabia?”

Abdul and other members of the Saudi delegation from the Camel Region were surprised when they heard this.

”What? Lin, did you just say light aircraft carrier?”

Abdul asked again in disbelief.

Lin Chenran smiled and nodded.

Aircraft carriers are powerful warships coveted by the navies of many countries.

Not to mention the Saudi Kingdom in the Camel region, even the Yan Kingdom’s navy has an “obsession” with aircraft carriers.

In other words, every country has an ”aircraft carrier dream”.

”Lin, you didn’t lie to me?”

”Does your 704 Shipyard have the ability to build an aircraft carrier?”

”It may be a little presumptuous, but your country doesn’t have an aircraft carrier?”

Abdul confirmed with the other party again and again.

After all, the Yan State Navy does not have any aircraft carriers.

Now it is only supported by the ”Linjiang” Aegis missile destroyer.

Lin Chenran responded with a smile: ”Abdul, whether our country has an aircraft carrier has no direct relationship with whether our 704 Shipyard can build a light aircraft carrier.”

”Our country needs to focus on the economy. The navy has little military funding, and we don’t have enough to buy aircraft carriers.”

”But your Camel Region Saudi Kingdom is different.”

”I assure you that our 704 Shipyard has enough strength to build a light aircraft carrier.”
