Chapter 237: Good news announced: receiving an order for frigates and cruisers from the Yan KingdomChapter 237: Good news announced: receiving an order for frigates and cruisers from the Yan Kingdom Navy

Not long after, members of the design team for the White Shark frigate and the Four Emperors cruiser from the 704 Shipyard arrived at the conference room one after another.

They all had serious expressions, holding thick documents and notebooks in their hands, and it was obvious that they attached great importance to this meeting.

When everyone was present, the door of the conference room was gently pushed open, and Lin Chenran and Pan Xueming walked in slowly with steady steps.

As they entered, the originally noisy atmosphere in the conference room suddenly became extremely quiet, as if time had frozen at this moment.

The door of the conference room closed quietly, and an important meeting was about to begin.

Seeing the two leaders arriving, everyone in the conference room stood up to greet them, with expressions of respect and expectation on their faces.

”Hello, Mr. Lin! Hello, Mr. Pan!” Greetings came one after another.

Lin Chenran nodded to everyone with a smile on his face and responded to everyone’s greetings cordially.

His eyes were gentle and firm, which made people feel trustful.

After everyone greeted each other, Lin Chenran raised his hands and pressed them down, then said with a smile: ”Everyone, please sit down first. Our meeting will start soon.”

Hearing this, the members of the White Shark Frigate Design Team and the Four Emperors Cruiser Design Team sat down as instructed.

Interestingly, the positions where these people sit are quite particular.

They naturally divided into two camps, one was the design and development team of the White Shark frigate, and the other was the design and development team of the Four Emperors Cruiser.

At this time, Lin Chenran sat steadily on the main seat, while Pan Xueming sat beside him.

Lin Chenran turned his head slightly and signaled to Pan Xueming beside him with his eyes.

Pan Xueming nodded in understanding, then quickly took out two documents from the folder in front of him.

At this moment, the entire conference room fell silent, and everyone’s eyes were focused on Pan Xueming, waiting for him to read the crucial document.

Pan Xueming cleared his throat, then solemnly unfolded the document and began to read aloud.

”Really?” someone asked in disbelief, with a hint of trembling in his voice.

”Have we successfully obtained the navy’s order for frigates and cruisers?” Another person also widened his eyes, his face full of astonishment.

Although everyone had various speculations in their minds at the beginning, they thought that this meeting might be related to the Yan Country Navy’s orders for frigates and cruisers.

But no one expected that this guess would come true!
When the mysterious veil was lifted and the ”answer” was revealed, everyone was stunned. They were unable to react for a moment and subconsciously asked, ”Is this... is this true? Are you kidding me?”

When everyone saw the smiles on Lin Chenran and Pan Xueming’s faces as bright as blooming spring flowers, the last trace of doubt in their hearts instantly disappeared.

Yes, it’s true!

Great joy surged into people’s hearts like a tide, making everyone’s heart beat faster involuntarily.

Lin Chenran’s hands were shaking with excitement. He took a deep breath, tried to calm himself down, and then said loudly: ”The design of the ’White Shark’ frigate and the ’Four Emperors’ cruiser of our 704 Shipyard is simply perfect! Not only are they excellent in performance and advanced in technology, but they also fully take into account various actual combat needs.”

“It is for this reason that we have won high praise and unanimous acclaim from the Navy leaders.”

”This time, we have won a large order for six White Shark frigates and three Four Emperors cruisers.” Having said that, Lin Chenran could no longer suppress his excitement and was the first to applaud.

Following his action, other people in the conference room woke up as if from a dream and responded one after another.

For a moment, warm applause surged like a tide, one after another, deafening, like bursts of earth-shaking thunder, resounding throughout the spacious and solemn conference room.

The applause was like a torrential rain, continuous and it seemed like it would never stop.

Then, Lin Chenran cleared his throat and continued calmly: ”Four of the White Shark frigates were built according to the original elaborate design plan.”

”The two White Shark frigates to be built later will need to be comprehensively and deeply upgraded.”

He paused, glanced at everyone present, and continued, ”As for the three Four Emperors cruisers, the first one will still be built according to the original mature and reliable plan.”

”The other two ships must undergo some minor but crucial upgrades based on actual conditions and the latest needs.”

These words clearly conveyed the key points of this mission, allowing everyone present to understand them.

This is an arduous project and a heavy responsibility, because it carries the Yan Navy’s ardent expectations for a strong coastal defense force.

The members of the two design and development teams, who were responsible for different parts, picked up their pens and concentrated on recording the important information.

……

In accordance with the clear requirements put forward by the Yan State Navy, when all the preliminary preparations are properly arranged and foolproof, when the construction officially begins, they hope to start the construction of five warships at the same time.

The current complex and ever-changing international situation does not allow for any delay or hesitation.

Yan State urgently needs a large number of advanced new warships to be put into use quickly to guard the vast sea borders and safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Hearing this, Pan Xueming, who had been silent all this time, could not help but frown slightly and muttered to himself in a low voice: ”Build four White Shark frigates at one time? And a Four Emperors cruiser? This is really a big challenge...”

There was a hint of worry in his eyes.

……

Although the 704 Shipyard has undergone a large-scale expansion, the scale of the entire factory has increased significantly compared with the past.

As many as six new indoor and outdoor docks have been added, which undoubtedly brings greater production potential and possibilities to the shipyard.

Despite having such a huge infrastructure, it is not easy to build a large number of warships at one time.

The reason is that the 704 Shipyard is not only focused on the manufacture of warships, it also undertakes the construction of other types of ships.

For example, those huge icebreakers need to have strong icebreaking capabilities to cope with the harsh polar environment;

There are also large cargo ships fully loaded with cargo, large oil tankers used to transport important resources such as oil, and so on.

These different types of ships each have unique design requirements and construction processes, making the shipyard’s production tasks extremely heavy and complicated.

Even if there are sufficient docks, the key factor that truly restricts the shipyard’s production capacity is manpower.
