Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 231 704 Shipyard: I eat meat, you drink soupChapter 231 704 Shipyard: I eat meat, you drink soup
Suppose that all domestic shipyards need to purchase imported engines from abroad as power support for their design and development plans for frigates.

The top brass of the Yan Navy might even reluctantly consider using it for the time being.

However, the White Shark frigate design launched by the 704 Shipyard now uses a completely domestically produced diesel engine.

As a result, the frigate design plans submitted by other shipyards will most likely be ruthlessly abandoned by the Yan State Navy.

Because the ”Hurricane” diesel engine developed by the 704 Shipyard performed so well, it was able to drive the White Shark frigate weighing more than 28 tons to speed across the sea at a speed of up to knots.

This performance data is undoubtedly very attractive and precisely meets the Yan Navy’s needs for frigate power.

Big and fast!

Who can not love this!

Large warships can intimidate opponents.

The high speed makes it more convenient to pursue the enemy and evacuate the scene.

This is the dream frigate of the Yan Kingdom Navy.

What were the previous frigate design plans of major domestic shipyards?
Do you have it?

of course not!

A group of Yan Country Navy: I didn’t see it.

do not know!
Domestic shipyards: Bah! Scumbag! Forget the old and love the new.

When we were short of frigates, the greeting was so cordial, but now that we have a better frigate design, the tone is so cold.

……

Then, Sun Yong continued to explain to everyone in detail his own carefully designed White Shark frigate with a smile and full of confidence.

His vivid and professional description made it seem as if everyone present had seen with their own eyes the heroic figure of this powerful warship sailing against the wind and waves on the sea.

This White Shark frigate is extraordinary, with a tonnage of over 4,000 tons.

The length of the ship is an astonishing 134 meters. Such a huge size and length made the designers spend a lot of effort on the planning of the stern part.

Finally, after repeated research and demonstration, they focused on creating a spacious and fully functional helicopter landing site.

This helicopter landing site is amazing. It can not only land a heavy helicopter steadily, so as to perform key tasks such as transporting important personnel or materials;
If encountering special situations or different combat requirements, it can be flexibly adjusted to accommodate two small and medium-sized anti-submarine ship-borne helicopters at the same time.

In this way, it becomes easy to deal with the threat of enemy submarines or carry out various emergency rescue operations.

Having such a helicopter pad is of great significance for a frigate.

Because it greatly expands the frigate’s ability to handle various complex incidents at sea.

When faced with emergencies, helicopters can be quickly dispatched to carry out a series of operations such as reconnaissance, search, rescue and even attack, greatly improving the reaction speed and combat efficiency of the warship.

After listening to Sun Yong’s introduction, a group of senior leaders of the Yan State Navy could not help but give a thumbs up and praised the White Shark frigate design in front of them.

They were especially surprised when they learned about the ingenious helicopter pad design at the end of the ship.

Originally, they themselves had not thought of this important link, but they did not expect that the 704 Shipyard had actually considered it carefully for them in advance.

This thoughtful design is really touching!
As an advanced maritime combat ship, the White Shark frigate is equipped with powerful firepower and a wide variety of weapons.

The first thing that comes into view is the majestic 1mm naval gun. This huge gun is like the fangs in the mouth of a steel beast, capable of carrying out precise strikes on long-range targets. No matter whether it is an enemy warship or a shore facility, it is difficult to escape its artillery coverage. In terms of close-range defense, two 76-barrel 2mm close-range defense guns guard the entire frigate like personal bodyguards.

They formed a dense barrage of bullets at an extremely high rate of fire, and any enemy aircraft or anti-ship missiles that attempted to approach would be torn into pieces in an instant.

Look at the eye-catching four quadruple missile launchers, which carry various types of missiles, such as air defense missiles, anti-ship missiles, etc.

Once a threat is detected, the missile will whiz out like an arrow from a bow and deal a fatal blow to the enemy.

There are also four eight-unit vertical launch missile launchers. This vertical launch system greatly improves the missile launch efficiency and response speed.

Various types of missiles can be quickly loaded and launched according to different mission requirements, allowing the White Shark frigate to always maintain a strong attack capability in combat.

In addition, the frigate is equipped with two triple torpedo tubes. These torpedoes are like assassins in the deep sea. They approach the target silently and then suddenly launch an attack, causing heavy damage to enemy ships.

Two six-tube multi-purpose rocket launchers can also provide a variety of attack methods and can be used to attack surface, air and coastal targets.

An hour passed quietly, and Sun Yong finally finished explaining the various configurations and design plans of the White Shark frigate to a group of senior leaders of the Yan State Navy.

The senior leaders of the Yan State Navy like the design of this frigate very much.

I can’t wait to make up my mind and let the 704 Shipyard quickly design, develop and manufacture the White Shark frigate.

Such a powerful frigate can guard the vast sea territory for Yan State.

The most important thing is that the frigate, which weighs more than 4,000 tons, will be difficult to be eliminated and will become one of the main warships of the aircraft carrier formation.

Immediately afterwards, the senior leaders of the Yan State Navy asked Sun Yong several questions related to the White Shark frigate.

Also, whether the Hurricane diesel engine on the White Shark frigate has been manufactured.

After receiving Sun Yong’s accurate reply, the senior leaders of the Yan State Navy asked them to leave the meeting room first and go to other lounges to rest.

Lin Chenran took Sun Yong and others back to the original lounge.

At this moment, Sun Yong did not feel as nervous as he did at the beginning.

It was as if everything had calmed down.

”Sun Yong, this time the design of the White Shark frigate will most likely be adopted by the navy’s top brass. When that happens, we must do 120% of our strength to design and develop it.”

When Lin Chenran left the meeting room, he saw ”satisfaction” on the faces of a group of senior naval leaders of Yan State.

It is almost certain that the 704 Shipyard will win the order for frigates from the Yan State Navy.

Since the White Shark frigate has a tonnage of only 4,000 tons, its price is much cheaper than that of the Aegis missile destroyer.

Lin Chenran guessed that the Yan State Navy would place an order for six to eight ships.

At that time, the 704 Shipyard will most likely give part of the order to other shipyards for construction.

There was no other way. Time did not allow it, so the Yan State Navy sent a large number of new warships to guard the Yan State’s maritime borders.

Lin Chenran didn’t care, since most of the profits went into the “pocket” of the 704 Shipyard anyway.

Other White Shark frigate orders received from the 704 Shipyard can only provide enough food and clothing.

The 704 Shipyard ”eats the meat” while other shipyards that accept the White Shark frigate order ”drink the soup.”
