Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1128: Different Continent

Nathan and the others were astonished. They had never thought that a human could become a god. At the same time, there were only a few people who had the chance to do it.

Still, their group was extremely high level. Evelyn and Revon were a given, but Bella couldn’t do it unless she was aiming for it. On the other hand, Vivian and Melissa’s talents were top-notch. They even had Nathan, one of the two remaining chosen ones in this era.

They might be able to do it. As for how far they could go, they would have to wait for the future.

Nathan thought for a moment. They had plenty of knowledge about the alien race, especially the portal to the alien world. They even received the secret of how to have enough strength to end this war once and for all.

Nathan might not want to feel that isolated due to his strength, but if he became as strong as Cthulhu or even the Outer Gods, the humans simply couldn’t do anything to him. Even politics could be crushed with absolute strength.

So, that worry had disappeared. There were still two things he wanted to know. The first one was obviously about Earth and his transmigration, but he had to wait until they were alone.

The other one was their current goal.

Nathan raised his hand. ”I think I have learned enough about this. If you have any questions, you can ask them later. For now, I want to change the topic back to our original goal.”

Evelyn and the others nodded, respecting his choice.

Nathan then continued, ”In that case, can you tell us what kind of place Erendtall is? That is our destination. If we can figure out their land, the journey will be much smoother.”

That was right. It was important to know some information about their destination. Considering Cthulhu had some connection to the alien there, he might know a thing or two about this continent.

Since Nathan had agreed to help, Cthulhu obviously chose to fully support him.

”I don’t mind telling you about the continent, but I haven’t gone there myself, so I can only tell you the little information I have from the report. Is that fine with you?”

”Yes. Any information is welcome.”

Cthulhu nodded. ”First of all, Erendtall’s summoners are utilizing their power slightly differently from your continent. Unlike you, who are focused on your familiars... What do you call it, a lifebound familiar?”

”Yes. A summoner can form a lifebound familiar to share the potential of the familiar with the human.”

”If your continent has a lifebound familiar, this continent doesn’t have such a thing. In other words, the quality of their humans is lower than on your continent. However, they are actually utilizing the fragment more exceptionally.”

”The fragment?” Nathan raised his eyebrows.

”Correct. All your familiars are fragments of their existences. If that’s the case, they don’t have a tangible form. The summoners on that continent take advantage of this piece to fuse together with their familiar.”

”Fusing with their familiar?” They couldn’t help but drop their jaws to the ground. It was something they had never thought of before since it was impossible.

However, if they truly could utilize the familiar that way, it might be a good thing to try. They might be able to develop even stronger abilities.

”As for the details, I believe it’s better for you to see it yourself. Still, other than this fusion, they use their familiars the same way as on your continent.

”There’s one more thing you need to know. If you want to try utilizing the power like they are, that is fine, but I don’t think it will be useful.

”The first reason is that to utilize fusion, you need to strengthen the connection between you and your familiar.

”However, on your continent, you have the lifebound familiar. That connection overshadows other connections, which prevents you from utilizing the fusion.

”Well, if you still want to try it, the most you can do is probably fuse with your lifebound familiar. That’s all.

”On the other hand, the people on Erendtall don’t have elements from the lifebound contract. However, thanks to the fusion, they’re able to replicate the power of their familiars to a certain extent.

”As a result, the way they’re measuring their talents is to see how much power they can draw out from their familiar.

”And I have to remind you again that their quality is lower than on your continent. This means you can make them lower their guard by showing that you are a normal summoner without a fusion before beating them up.

”However, if we’re talking about overall power level, Erendtall is higher. This is because of the power of fusion.

”On your continent, there are people who can support you from behind, giving you additional power. Meanwhile, Erendtall supports others in a more direct way due to their fusion.

”It might be hard to imagine, but that’s the report I received.”

Nathan and the others were dumbfounded. Nathan wondered what kind of fusion they underwent and what the result was. It appeared that the trip to this continent would be worthwhile as long as he could learn their abilities.

Unlike other summoners, he had one advantage. His element came from Soul Contract, so he had no lifebound familiar. In other words, he could fuse with all his divine beasts.

Depending on whom he chose, he could have eight different fighting styles, especially if he combined them with his current fighting style.

It was definitely amusing. Still, there was one problem. This was the fundamental problem.

”While the fusion ability is something we look forward to, we probably need to understand them first. In other words, the language barrier is the biggest problem.”

That was right. If they couldn’t understand them, it would be over. Even Lilith had told them that the language was different. Even though she had given them some basic knowledge, learning a language would take a while.

Surprisingly, Cthulhu had already expected this from the beginning. In the end, if he wanted to gather the chosen ones from all continents, he needed to solve the language barrier.

Cthulhu said, ”Don’t worry. I will give you my sigil. It will let you understand what they’re saying and vice versa. However, if you don’t trust them, you might want to cover your mouth or they will realize you’re speaking in another language.”
