Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1102: Goal and What Beyond That Goal

”W-What?!”

If Bella and Melissa were here, they would have the same reaction. Evelyn wasn’t the type of person who could say such a thing.

So, what was actually going on?

Evelyn was confused by their reaction. She rethought her words before panicking. ”Ah! That’s not what I mean.”

”I know what you mean. What can I do to be honest?” Nathan acted as if he were moved.

”Huh? Well, as long as you know what I mean... No, wait. What did you think I meant to say?”

”I’m sorry, Teacher. It looks like your disciple has no other way but to accept the pressure from the esteemed world class summoner and sell himself.” Nathan acted dramatically as if he had been wronged.

But it was obvious the meaning was wrong. Evelyn was speechless and hurriedly pinched Nathan’s ears while glaring, ”That’s not what I mean, alright?”

”My ears? Why do you have an obsession with my ears? Ouch!”

”What I mean is that I have something to consult you about. Understand?”

”I know, I know.” Nathan swayed his hand left and right as though he was waving a white flag with his hand. He surrendered and wouldn’t play around anymore.

”Huu...” Evelyn shook her head helplessly, but she couldn’t help feeling a bit embarrassed. It was unconscious for her, but the old her wouldn’t even think about inviting Nathan to her room. At least, they would talk in her office.

Evelyn noticed that she had been gradually accepting Nathan subconsciously.

Nathan raised two fingers. ”Anyway, I have two plans right now. Although it’s true that the enemy this time is the weaker one, the aliens need something from us. That’s why we will play along.

”I don’t know if it’s possible or not, but if we can somehow raise our quality to be equal to that of the alien race, humanity doesn’t have to be scared anymore even if we help them.

”This is the first plan, which is to increase our strength. Even in the past, there was no need to increase the overall quality of the entire race.

”As long as several of us grow that much, it will be enough. At least we have bargaining power.

”My second plan is what we will do if such a thing is not enough. And probably what if they’re strong enough...

”If it’s the former, we will probably need things from other worlds. You know that the aliens can come from another world, right? The summoning itself is connected to another world. If we can somehow find the connection to another world, there’s a high chance we can increase our overall army.

”In this scenario, my main plan relies on a person who can figure out the summoning itself. Some information can come from the aliens since it’s originally their method.

”If it’s the latter, I’m worried that humans will start colonizing other planets. I think that’s inevitable, but that will make us the same as the alien race. We might end up treating the living beings on other planets as nothing but slaves. To do that, our own group has to be strong enough to do anything to stop it from happening.

”Well, the destination itself might not be that bad, but I’m just worried about the method.”

Evelyn and Vivian couldn’t help but agree with his plans. Humanity has proven itself capable of being more terrifying than the aliens multiple times. That was why what Nathan feared might happen. Even if they were not in their generation, their descendants might end up causing it. It was inevitable.

But the second plan was still far in the future, so they could focus on the first plan first.

”Anyway, Cthulhu is a Great Old One. He’s a monster strong enough to destroy all four kingdoms if he wants it.

”According to Fenrir, there’s a rumor about Cthulhu being a messenger. At the same time, another rumor describes him as someone who has cast spells that preserved the Great Old Ones until their reawakening.

”That’s why I will decide my course of action depending on what they tell us. After all, the black cell might be the common enemy, but originally, the aliens could become our enemies.

”Of course, even humans can become our enemies. I’m sure you already know what happens to Elysion Aquamoon. With a power that strong, he’s being isolated.

”If there is no alien, he might end up becoming the second Asura.”

”!!!” Evelyn and Vivian couldn’t help but agree. Asura was once a fearsome human, like Elysion. However, his strength wasn’t needed because the aliens didn’t exist back then. That was why the kingdoms were afraid of him and fought him.

If the aliens had already existed back then, they would probably have isolated Asura and called him whenever they needed to deal with a powerful alien. That was similar to Elysion’s situation.

If they grew that much, their situation would probably be the same. The only problem was that their strength would be so big that humanity might create a coalition with them as a target.

Nathan raised two fingers. ”All right. Here is the plan after arriving at the North Pole...”

He began explaining all the details he had carefully planned before. Still, even Nathan didn’t know how severe their situation was, considering the enemy’s strength.

Evelyn and Vivian offered some advice to fill the gaps in his plan.

They didn’t even finish by the time their guard duty turn came up. In the end, they continued their discussion after the guard duty. It took them another twelve hours after their guard duty before they finished coming up with a solution.

There were a few things they couldn’t agree on, which dragged the conversation out for so long.

But before Nathan could get some rest, there was one more thing he had to do. He first visited Evelyn’s quarters.

Nathan couldn’t help but feel a bit excited. After all, this invitation was proof that Evelyn gradually accepted him.

And her being stronger would help him a lot in the future. Still, his heartbeat sped up when he entered her room.
