This scene was unbelievable to Zhou Liang.

In his eyes, his boss was the best among his peers. He didn’t have to be serious when fighting anyone.

But today, when facing this person, Boss was actually forced back!

Although he was not defeated, this was not a good sign.

The reason why the attack had such a strong effect was because Lin Yi hadn’t eaten for three days and three nights. His mental state was at its limit, and it was already impressive that he wasn’t defeated in one move.

After the man in black’s attack ended, Lin Yi counterattacked.

Taking advantage of the man in black’s downward trajectory, Lin Yi jumped and kicked him with his right leg like a long whip.

Seeing that the situation was bad, the man in black did not dare to be careless.

He leaned back and quickly raised his hand to block Lin Yi’s attack!

He remained unmoved, it seemed as if the attack hadn’t posed any real danger to him!

After the failed strike, Lin Yi seized the opportunity to counterattack, launching a flurry of rapid moves that left the man in black with no chance to react.

The young woman watching from the side furrowed her brows in surprise.

Lin Yi’s exceptional skills astonished her.

“With just his flesh and blood, he’s fighting on par with Zero, the Central Guards Brigade has found a formidable guy.”

“His skill level is indeed good, and his foundation is solid, but the final victory should belong to Zero. He won’t be able to hold on much longer,” said the middle-aged man.

“I believe that. Among his peers, no one can match Zero,” the young woman stated.

“If the surgery had been more perfect, I think his condition would be even better.”

“Don’t underestimate that Huaxian man. Before they engaged, I observed him; his mental state didn’t seem very good. Otherwise, it would be hard to predict the final victor.”

The young woman looked at Lin Yi with interest.

She did not expect him to receive such a high evaluation.

“If that’s the case, it would be a pity to kill him.”

“That all depends on Zero. If he doesn’t want to kill this man, there’s nothing we can do.”

Even though the man in black had brought his companions over this time, the middle-aged man’s status and identity couldn’t be compared to the person Lin Yi had met last time.

The previous operation was led by the companion of the man in black, and this time, it was led by the man in black himself.

According to the strict rules of the organization, if the man in black did not want to fight, there was nothing they could do.

Although the middle-aged man’s level was higher than the man in black, their status in the organization was different. When they went out on missions, he had to remain obedient.

“So we’ll just take him away.”

“That’s unlikely,” the middle-aged man said.

“Don’t underestimate the determination of the Chinese to face death. In the face of national righteousness, they regard life lightly. Even if captured, they have countless ways to commit suicide, leaving no opportunities for their captors.”

“It’s a bit regrettable, but it’s not a big problem, as this mission is about to be completed.”

As the two spoke, the battle on the other end escalated into an intense phase.

Lin Yi’s offensive grew fiercer, but his condition was poor, and his efforts amounted to the last of his strength, posing no substantial threat to the man in black.

After a dozen moves, Lin Yi gradually began to falter.

His attacks became weaker, shifting from an aggressive stance to passive defense.

Seeing that the situation was bad, Zhou Liang rushed up and prepared to help Lin Yi.

But the man in black did not give him the chance.

With just a casual kick, he was kicked a few meters away.

He flew backward and crashed into the car behind him. With a dull thud, Zhou Liang felt like his spine was about to break.

It was so painful that he rolled on the ground and instantly lost the ability to fight.

His heart was in turmoil. He did not expect the man in black to be so skilled!

He couldn’t even withstand a single move from him!

And Boss could actually fight with him for so long. His level was too terrifying!

Seeing Zhou Liang injured, Lin Yi suddenly turned around.

At that moment, the man in black noticed the opening and kicked him in the face!

Lin Yi lost his balance and fell heavily to the ground.

With a curse, Lin Yi quickly adjusted himself and got up.

However, at this moment, the black man’s attack came one after another. Without giving Lin Yi any chance to react, he kicked his chest!

Lin Yi lost control of his body and rolled backward.

The man in black followed closely behind. He rushed in front of Lin Yi and pressed his knee into him.

Lin Yi struggled to break free, but the skill levels between him and the man in black were closely matched, and his impaired mental state made escape impossible.

The man in black didn’t immediately attack. Instead, he fixed Lin Yi with a gaze that was both hollow and profound.

Their eyes met in a moment that turned the atmosphere eerie.

The man in black patted Lin Yi down, trying to find the ore hidden on his body, but found nothing.

He looked back and shook his head at the other two.

The young woman quickly reacted and started moving towards Zhou Liang.

“Damn it, let’s go!”

Lin Yi couldn’t afford to hesitate. He had to protect the ore.

Zhou Liang knew the situation was dire, but he didn’t run.

The idea of abandoning Lin Yi to save himself was something he couldn’t bring himself to do.

Zhou Liang tapped into his body’s ultimate potential, picked up a gun nearby, and aimed at the young woman.

Bang!

A gunshot rang out, but the person who pulled the trigger wasn’t Zhou Liang!

A wisp of smoke drifted from the dark muzzle, followed by Zhou Liang’s agonizing scream!

“Alih!”

Zhou Liang’s thigh was a blur; the bullet had passed through it, leaving a ghastly wound.

His leg was likely beyond recovery.

“Zhou Liang!”

Lin Yi’s eyes were red as he roared.

However, because of the man in black’s control, he could not move at all.

The immense pain made Zhou Liang’s eyes widen and he almost fainted.

The young woman walked towards Zhou Liang step by step. There was no expression on her face. She was like a cold machine.

“I don’t want to kill anyone, so don’t move or I won’t mind putting another bullet in your brain.”

The young woman took off Zhou Liang’s tactical backpack and opened it to take a look at the contents. She then nodded at the middle-aged man behind her.

“Zero, get rid of him,” the middle-aged man said.

The young woman also looked at him as if she had the same thought.

The man in black shook his head and did not take the next step.

The middle-aged man shook his head and didn’t try to persuade him. “Get in the car.”

The man in black let go of Lin Yi and walked towards his car.

However, the moment he opened the car door, he turned around and looked at Lin Yi deeply.

The entire process lasted only a few seconds. The slightly terrifying and strange mask seemed to be telling him something.

It was extremely hard to figure out.
