Although he was out of danger for the time being, Lin Yi’s movements were always careful.

That was because many foreigners had come here. Those people were not fools.

They would not fight with Team 1. They would think of a way to avoid the battlefield. It was only a matter of time until he encountered them.

If they could not reach a safe area in this period of time, the outcome would be even worse.

As for the members of Team 1, in order to protect themselves, they would be constantly fighting.

The continuous battle would increase the danger and strain of Team 1. This

was something Lin Yi did not want to see.

As time passed, the sky gradually darkened.

Lin Yi drove carefully and attentively, not missing a single detail.

There were also many people hiding in the dark who did not participate but instead waited for an opportunity to ambush.

If he met them here, there was no need to say anything about his outcome.

But what worried Lin Yi the most wasn’t the chaotic situation in front of him, but the man in black who would appear for the ore!

If the man in black appeared, with the wolves in front and tigers behind, he would have a slim chance of survival.

Lin Yi’s brain spun rapidly. Based on this situation, there were three paths in front of him.

Firstly, finding a path to the embassy would be the most satisfactory outcome.

However, based on the current situation, this might not work.

Secondly, they had to meet up with Team 1.

However, compared to the first approach, this was even more difficult.

The foreigners knew very well that once they met up with Team 1, it would be impossible to obtain the ore.

Therefore, this approach was also very difficult and dangerous.

Thirdly, he had to find a place to hide and shake of these people. Then, he had to figure out what to do next.

Compared to the first two options, this would be much safer.

However, this approach could not solve the substantive problem.

After thinking about it, Lin Yi decided to try the first two methods. If it didn’t work, he could only settle for the next best thing.

Looking out at the darkening sky, Lin Yi checked the fuel tank.

Fortunately, Zhou Liang was smart enough to fill up the fuel tank in advance.

After driving around the city for so long, they could still travel another 300 kilometers with the remaining fuel. As long as nothing unexpected happened, this should be enough.

Now, they just had to find a way out.

Lin Yi drove around casually.

Zhou Liang, who was in the back seat, pointed his gun out the window. If he noticed any danger, he would attack immediately.

However, after trying several roads, he realized that they were all blocked. It was impossible to return to the safe zone.

“Boss, the situation doesn’t look good.” Zhou Liang pursed his lips. “The surroundings of the embassy seem to have been sealed off.”

“It’s not just bad.” Lin Yi said.

“I feel that Panem City has been locked down. Under the Meiguon’s instigation, they will definitely restrict our armed forces. The few people from the embassy will be a drop in the bucket based on the current situation. It won’t solve the problem.”

“Then aren’t the two of us basically on the verge of death?”

“Don’t be so optimistic. We’re as good as dead.”

“Ah, ah, ah! The massage that I’ve been longing for!”

“Why the f*ck are you thinking about these things at this time?” Lin Yi scolded jokingly.

He felt that Zhou Liang was letting himself go.

“Since there’s no way out, we naturally have to die with dignity.” Zhou Liang looked around. “Where are we going now? It feels like we’re in a slum.”

“We can’t go back to the embassy. We’re in the suburbs. Let’s find a place to hide for a while.”

Lin Yi surveyed the surroundings and noticed the area was isolated and desolate. He suggested,

“Right now, we’re too exposed. It’s best to find a place to hide and then figure out how to contact the embassy.”

“But I think if they don’t find us soon, they might impose a citywide lockdown and start a thorough search,” Zhou Liang responded.

“It doesn’t matter. This kind of investigation is just a drizzle. It’s not much of a threat to us.”

In Lin Yi’s view, as long as the opposition didn’t possess heavy weaponry, dealing with them wouldn’t be too difficult given his and Zhou Liang’s capabilities.

Even if they were up against foreign personnel in Panem City or Meiguon soldiers, they wouldn’t pose a threat in a hand-to-hand scenario.

Their safety wouldn’t be compromised.

Lin Yi wasn’t worried about them, but the men in black’s accomplices.

He was 90% sure that the other party would appear!

The last time he was in Doora, the man in black was already too much for him.

If not for Song Jinmin’s timely arrival, his death anniversary would have been in a few months.

Therefore, he had to find a safe area to hide before they discovered him!

Otherwise, he and Zhou Liang would have no chance of survival!

“Understood!”

Following Lin Yi’s instructions, Zhou Liang tidied up the equipment in the car and wrapped it up.

Lin Yi continued driving around the slums of Panem City, looking for a place to hide.

It was not until the sky gradually darkened and the moon was in full view that they found a deserted place and stopped the car.

“Boss, are we getting out of the car?”

“I saw a plastic bucket next to the car. Go and pick it up.

“What the f*ck? I’m a rich second-generation heir with a net worth of tens of billions. Do you want me to pick up trash?”

“Cut the crap, just go.” Lin Yi said, “There’s a pipe nearby, pick it up too.”

“Sure thing.”

Zhou Liang didn’t waste any time and followed Lin Yi’s instructions to grab the plastic bucket and water pipe.

“After you get the stuff back, drain the fuel from the tank. We’ll have a big use for it,” Lin Yi instructed. “After you’re done, wait for me in the car. I’ll be back soon.”

“Understood.”

After giving instructions, Lin Yi didn’t stay idle.

He quietly ran out from a narrow alley to a somewhat wider street.

It was getting late, and there weren’t many people on the streets, just the occasional passerby and vehicle.

Lin Yi’s gaze was like a falcon, searching for suitable prey on the street.

A few minutes later, Lin Yi locked his gaze on a man in a singlet.

Beside him were two female companions who he was showing off his new phone to.

It seemed to be a Huawei.

After locking onto the target, Lin Yi walked towards the young man and patted his shoulder.

“Sir, I have a favor to ask.”

Standing in front of the young man, Lin Yi deliberately spoke in Spanish.

The young man who was bragging saw Lin Yi suddenly appear with a hint of arrogance in his eyes.

The two women beside him also looked at Lin Yi teasingly. They were not enthusiastic.

Because of his race and culture, Lin Yi’s looks were of no use here.

“Why are you looking for me?”

“Let me introduce myself first. I’m Qin Han, a Huaxian who works here. I want to go to Sangma Street, but 1 don’t know where to go.. Can you show me the way?”
