Luo Qi and Zhou Liang both shivered.

He was extremely glad that he lived in Huaxia where no one dared to say such things.

However, in such a capitalistic country, money represented everything.

Mahra looked at Lin Yi with fear in his eyes.

“That’s why I said, don’t be too impulsive. You have to think about yourself more.”

As he spoke, Lin Yi took out a hundred dollars from his pocket and placed it in Mahra’s hand.

“Thankyou, Mr. Lin.”

They watched as Lin Yi settled the matter with a hundred dollars.

Luo Qi and Zhou Liang suddenly felt that this was a sick country.

Whether it was human life or societal righteousness, it all bowed to money.

As long as there was money, they could dictate terms to you, and you had to meet them with a smile, grateful for the ‘wonderful life’ they’ve provided. “Take us to see the goods. If there are no issues, I will pursue this matter thoroughly.”

“You’ll need to discuss this with the leadership. We’re just employees here; we can’t take responsibility for too much.”

Lin Yi smiled and nodded. He didn’t make things difficult for him and asked as he walked.

“Has this ever happened before?”

“Of course. And every year there are a lot of people trying to smuggle in something illegal in this way.”

“But you’re only the management of the canal. If a merchant ship passes through here, you don’t have the right to do such a thing, right?” “You’re right, but we can make a profit this way,” Mahra said.

“When someone reports it, we bring the merchant ships here for inspection.

Then, merchants pay our fees. For us, this is a sizeable income.”

Lin Yi and the others nodded subconsciously. They finally understood the reason. It was a gray industrial chain that couldn’t be easily exposed.

“But 1 really want to know who reported us.”

Mahra shrugged. “We don’t know about that. We only did it because we got a tip.”

“So, if we find out that there’s nothing wrong with our goods, we won’t compensate you while you also won’t give us any explanation either, right?” “Yes, that’s our right under the Maritime Transportation Act.”

Lin Yi felt a pang of emotion; it was indeed a lucrative business without initial capital.

Many of the world’s cargo ships had to pass through this place, giving them a position of power, as merchants truly had no other choice.

At that moment, Chen Qingfeng interjected,

tor the past decade, our country has been developing a global railway network precisely to break such patterns and monopolies.”

Lin Yi nodded. He had heard some things about this from Liang Ruoxu. More than 90 percent of global trade was concentrated in maritime shipping. The overlord of the sea was Meiguo. They firmly controlled the resources in this area. If Huaxia wanted to get involved and break through the current power structure, it would be more difficult than ascending to the heavens. Therefore, they had to start setting up the railway transport system as soon as possible.

Although transport costs would increase, transport time would be reduced by two thirds, thereby greatly boosting the speed of world trade and serving as a powerful tool for breaking the pattern of world trade.

A few minutes later, the group arrived at the dock.

Seeing the cargo ship of the Lingyun Group, it was like a steel behemoth lying quietly on the mountain road.

That indescribable shock could only be experienced personally when one saw it in person.

“Mr. Lin, this is the relevant document. Take a look. If there’s no problem, sign

We’re going to start checking the goods.”

Taking the document from Mahra, Lin Yi inspected it carefully.

There was nothing wrong with the content, but if they really found contraband, the officials would have to confiscate it and he would have to pay an astronomical fine.

To Lin Yi, this was nothing.

From another perspective, if they were the ones who drafted the contract, the content might be even more ruthless than this.

After reading the content, Lin Yi signed his name and the inspection officially began.

The four of them stood aside and saw something that looked like an arch. The arch slowly moved to the side of the ship and prepared to start scanning and checking the cargo on the ship.

However, it was relatively slow. It could only move a few meters a minute.

When checking such a huge cargo ship, Lin Yi estimated that it would take at least an hour to check everything.

Standing at the side, Zhou Liang lit a cigarette.

learn Leader, did Lingyun Group offend someone? Is that why they played such a small trick?”

“I can’t rule out that possibility, but I can’t think of who it is for the time being.”

That was what he said, but in Lin Yi’s heart, he had a suspect.

These goods were stolen from the Wang family. Coupled with the fact that he had crippled Wang Mian’s legs, the hatred between the two sides could be said to be boundless.

In the entire country, only the Wang family had the motive to do such a thing.

However, he could not figure out why the Wang family was doing this.

Was it just to waste his time and money to annoy him?

With the Wang Family’s magnanimity and pride, even if they went downhill now, they wouldn’t do such a thing, because it was too degrading.

Furthermore, it would not achieve their goal of taking revenge on him.

There was no point in doing this.

In addition, Lu Beichen and the Liang family were observing the Wang family’s movements in Yanjing. They didn’t dare to do anything, which is also why Lin Yi didn’t continue to target them.

However, other than the Wang family, he really couldn’t think of another suspect.

“Then we’ll see how it goes. Anyway, this is the last hurdle. When it’s done, we can get this shipment back to the country.”

Lin Yi nodded. He agreed with this. After this matter was resolved, he would have time to investigate the people foreigners coming in. He had to take things one step at a time.

Ring ring ring!

Just as they were waiting, Lin Yi’s phone rang. It was Yu Siying.

“Flow’s the situation on your side?”

After leaving the restaurant, we followed the information provided by the Central Guards Brigade and immediately arrived at the two airports in Panem City. Then, we locked onto two groups of people and realized that they were all heading in the direction of the Canal Authority.”

“They coming to see the Canal Authority?”

“That’s our rough guess. We’re not sure exactly where they’re headed, so we’ll need to continue tracking them.”

“Alright, keep a close eye on them to avoid any mistakes,” Lin Yi said seriously. “But be sure to prioritize your safety. The mission can be aborted at any time. I don’t want any accidents to happen to you.”

“Got it, Team Leader.”

Beep, beep, beep!

Before Lin Yi could hang up, he suddenly heard the sound of a police siren.

He suddenly looked up and saw that the alarm light on the arched door had lit up, and the sound was coming from above!
